Lu AnLing hadn't been to Hotel Helios in a long time but as expected the place was as it had been the last time she had come.
Even the manager was the same. As soon as he had noticed Kang Jun and Lu AnLing he walked right over to them to check if there was anything they needed from him. The both of them didn't, but still, the three had a bit of small talk.
Meanwhile, Lu Shuya and Kang Liang dragged behind the couple. Seeing the manager act so friendly with Kang Jun and Lu AnLing, the two couldn't help but watch in awe. This was not the first time people would lower themselves in front of Kang Jun and in turn, Lu AnLing, yet each and every time Lu Shuya or Kang Liang saw this, they didn't know how they felt.
"Life sure is different for the super rich and famous..." Lu Shuya said. She was not jealous, at all, when she was saying this, she was truly just in awe.
Kang Liang laughed.
"This isn't normal.I'm pretty rich and famous myself but even I don't get this kind of treatment... My brother is just very scary compared to the average human being so people treat him extra well." Kang Liang said without joking at all.
Hearing this, Lu Shuya examined Kang Jun and then she said, "Yes... I'm not surprised. He's very good looking too, so that's a bonus..."
When Lu Shuya said this, Kang Liang frowned. "Am I not also handsome?"
"Compared to your brother?" Lu Shuya said as her eyes swept upon Kang Liang. After doing this, the girl smirked and then she said, "Nope!"
After saying this, she walked over to Kang Jun and Lu AnLing who had just finished speaking to the manager, the four headed up. Once they arrived at Lu Xing's door, Lu Shuya said,
"I think it's better if I knock."
Hearing this, Kang Jun, Lu AnLing and Kang Liang steppes aside and allowed her to do as she pleased. Out of them all, Lu Shuya knew the man the most and so, it was obvious that he would feel more comfortable seeing her first.
After she had knocked it didn't take long for Lu Xing to open the door and once he did, the man had come out with a very rugged physical appearance and a beer in his hand. The man's hair was ruffled as if he had just crawled out of bed, and his face bore an exceptional doped up expression.
Seeing this, Lu Shuya and Lu AnLing frowned hard as Kang Liang fought the urge to facepalm. Kang Jun, on the other hand, remained emotionless.
Lu Shuya clicked her tongue as she pushed herself through the door. Once inside, she pulled the beer out of Lu Xing's hand, looked at the half empty bottle and the other bottles that were on the floor inside and then she frowned more.
"Seriously!?" She said with complete annoyance. "I told you we were coming over, and you chose now to drink like a glutton and you don't even have the common courtesy to clean up after yourself!"
Hearing her loud and clear, Lu Xing rolled his eyes and then he said, "what?! I just needed some liquid courage. I mean, I'm meeting the devil king of the underworld himself today!"
Hearing this, Lu Shuya's face went pale and then she turned to her uncle with a glare. She had half a mind to hit him with the bottle she held in her hand and scold him until his ears began to bleed but before she could do just that, Kang Jun walked through the door with his wife.
Lu Xing, at first, had all his attention on Lu Shuya that he hadn't noticed Kang Ju, Lu AnLing or Kang Liang but once Kang Jun entered the room, the man felt a steely glare on his back and then room temperature dropped gravely.
Shivering slightly, Lu Xing turned to see Kang Jun's metallic blue suit in front of his eyes.
Seeing this, Lu Xing gulped.
There was no doubt in Lu Xing's mind who Kang Jun was and so, he said, "Welcome... Mr Kang... thank you for allowing me to stay here."
Hearing this, Kang Jun didn't say a word to the man, he just walked passed him. Meanwhile, Kang Liang frowned. The way Lu Xing had acted before was a complete change from how he was acting now...
His brother was truly superhuman!
Looking between Kang Jun and Kang Liang who both exuded different aura's Lu AnLing felt herself want to laugh, but instead, she turned towards her uncle and she smiled.
"Uncle Xing, it's been too long." Lu AnLing said.
Taking his eyes off of Kang Jun and then looking at Lu AnLing, Lu Xing, who felt slightly awkward, smiled just as awkwardly as he felt and said, "Hello little Ling, it's been a long time..."
"Yes, it has been..." Lu AnLing said simply as she smiled. She then walked into the room, and Lu Xing followed beside her. "Now, if you would, we're all busy people here so, my husband and I would love it if you could go over what you know and saw, in detail."
From then on, The four went over what Lu Xing had mentioned to Lu Shuya and Kang Liang precisely, and then Kang Jun said,
"He's useless."
Those words caused Lu Xing to feel as if his death was imminent but, thinking for a second, Lu AnLing frowned.
"Not exactly... If he's able to remember the person by sight then we'll just need to bring him home, around the Kang family and their acquaintances, somehow." Lu AnLing said calmly as she bit her lip. This was easier said than done. Lu Xing wasn't the presentable type and he wasn't intelligent either,so it wouldn't make sense to just bring him to the Kang home without reason... Lu AnLing wasn't quite sure what to do. But then, Kang Jun, who had been thinking spoke.
"The infinity project will begin soon so the Kang's, The Tang's, Yichen and his family should gather along with several of our executive directors, investors and shareholders..." Kang Jun said simply, "If someone from within the family was part of this then they would most likely come."
"That old bastard Qiao would come too, considering the fact that he's woken up..." Kang Liang added.
The man's face was dark and his jaw was stiff. This was a normal reaction for Kang Liang when he mentioned Elder Qiao, but for Lu Shuya, who had hung out with him for a while, it was strange to see the man as such.
In her mind, Kang Liang was like a star. He was bright and happy all the time. But now, she realized that that wasn't so... she wondered about the man's circumstances and why this 'old bastard Qiao' bothered him so much...
As she thought this, Lu Shuya's eyes were planted on Kang Liang. This was something, for once, no one noticed.
Meanwhile, Lu Xing and Kang Liang looked at Lu AnLing and Kang Jun who began a conversation where only the two of them were welcomed.
"So when will this party be held?" Lu AnLing asked her husband simply.
Kang Jun shrugged. "We'll have to meet with Bingyi, Yichen and our final partner in order to settle on a date."
"Okay... when will we be meeting our final partner then?" Lu AnLing asked.
Kang Jun looked into his wife's eyes. "That depends on Tang Bingyi. Considering her family circumstances, after what had happened due to Trailblazers, she's been forced to deal with certain internal issues within Tang Corporation."
Hearing this, Lu AnLing frowned. "What happened?"
Kang Jun: "It's nothing you need to concern yourself with. She can handle it herself."
Lu AnLing wanted to complain because she wanted to know what had happened but if she did complain, it would only mean that she believed that Tang Bingyi could not handle it so instead she kept her mouth shut.
She was sure everything would be fine, but just in case, after a few days, Lu AnLing called Tang Bingyi.
