As soon as Kang Liang had seen Kang Jun take the unconscious Lu AnLing and leave, he was about to follow them too but first, he looked back down into the alleyway where Rong Xin had disappeared.
He wondered what Rong Xin would do, or rather what Kang Jun had asked him to do about Rong Yue Wan. Whatever would happen to her, Kang Liang believed the woman would deserve it, but at the same time, he hoped his brother wouldn't need to dirty his hands before leaving the country.
Kang Liang had truly grown up that passed year. He no longer only cared about his music, he also cared about helping his brother out. Kang Jun had never complained or wanted something as much as he did Lu AnLing and so, now that he had her and he was happy, kang Liang wanted to keep it untainted even if he had to taint himself.
When he arrived at the hospital, Kang Liang looked for his brother. He thought he would be by Lu AnLing's side and he was, for a while, but when Lu AnLing's parents, the Elders and the kids had come, Kang Jun, after coaxing the kids and finding out that his wife was completely fine just slightly shocked, Kang Jun left the room for a bit.
Kang Liang was a bit shocked that Kang Jun had left. Was the man afraid due to what had happened today? Did he blame himself?
Kang Liang wasn't sure and so he followed the man until he entered another room.
Inconspicuously Kang Liang passes the room and looked inside out of the corner of his eyes. There were three people in there, Kang Jun, a man Kang Liang didn't know, and a woman that Kang Liang didn't know.Kang Liang was curious and so, he hid by the door and listened.
"Is there something you need President Kang?" Zeke asked simply as he changed his voice ever so slightly. A nervousness could be heard at the back of his throat.
Hearing Zeke say this, Kang Jun frowned.
"I just wanted to thank you for saving AnLing..." Kang Jun started slowly and then his eyes laid on the man's secretary and said, "Or rather, I should be thanking her."
Zeke nodded. "Mo Yichen had told me that your wife was in danger and so, I prepared a plan to save her if anything were to happen when you weren't there."
Hearing this, Kang Jun's eyes sharpened and the he said, "Oh really..."
Kang Jun, more and more, as he listened to Zeke's voice knew that it was Kang Zhi but why would Kang Zhi have hidden so long? Why did he know and help Lu AnLing at the institution?
Kang Jun: "I want to go to my wife now, but first there is something I need to ask... are you Kang Zhi?"
Hearing this, Kang Liang's whole body stiffened. He had seen the man's face and heard the mans's voice. It did somehow seemEd similar to Kang Zhi's but that was impossible. Kang Zhi was dead.
Many questions arose in the eavesdropping Kang Liang but the questions suddenly stopped once he heard Zeke's laugh.
"Out of everyone, I knew you would know..." Zeke said with a slight laugh.
Kang Jun was truly observant but sometimes this was a good thing and sometimes it was a bad thing...
Hearing the way Zeke spoke Kang Jun clenched his teeth as a bit of anger rose within him.
"Zhi... no... Zeke, I thank you for helping AnLing but I'm not going to restrain myself." Kang Jun started simply and then he crossed his arms over his chest and said, "AnLing told me you came here to atone. But now I'm really wondering... atone for what? What did you do that you need to atone for? Not only this, I wonder why you've been so close to her. You became her guardian of sorts; paid for her education and gave her money to live..."
Kang Jun was already making a lot of assumptions. Key assumptions which Zeke could not blame him for having.
Kang Jun then looked at Zeke in the eyes and said, "What exactly do you plan on doing here?"
Zeke felt the urge to back away, but instead he just held his ground. "I'm here because I heard you wanted to leave T City but also because I have certain things to take care of..."
"Like what?" Kang Jun asked quickly.
Zeke sighed. He could not get out of telling Kang Jun why he was here. Kang Jun would continue probing until he got the answers he wanted.
Zeke: "I came to check on you and AnLing. I promised Anna I would look after her and Mingyu... also I need to deal with Elder Qiao, Don't worry. I don't plan on saying here..."
"You don't need to deal with Elder Qiao. I'm already working on that. But what are you going to do about your son?" Kang Jun asked.
By now, Kang Jun had completely accepted Kang Zhi's arrival. He was alive, and Kang Jun didn't quite care why because he could already assume based off of what he had read from Anna's diary. In one of her many entries she had said that her lover had come back to her around a year after he had left. At this point, Kang Jun had thought she had lost her mind because she had written that the man had died, but truly, Kang Jun now understood she was completely sane...
