Mi Rong slowly rose up from to sit on the cold floor of dimly lit place that she was in. Her eyes began observing her surroundings. It seemed to be a cave, but a very long one. However, it looked just like a simple cave, but the built of it seemed to have rung a bell.

A cave…

Which cave has she been to except...except from that time...the time she had come from.

Could it be...?

Mi Rong then rose to her feet. She could still hear the water sounds falling around her. There must be a waterfall around here, just like the cave she had come from. However, there was no other signs of living things. No one was here and neither could she feel the strong heavenly presences like the time she had arrived here when Xiao Bai was nothing but a puppy.

She took a few steps forward and few more until there was a split pathway on her right. The sound of water falling was more distinct from the cave way, hence, she did not hesitate and walked into the corridor.

As she walked further in the cave way, there was a small sign of light coming from afar. Then, as she drew nearer, she could vaguely see her surroundings better.

At the end of the cave way, she emerged out of it slowly. Out of the cave way, the view of a gigantic waterfall came into view. She stepped closer to the edge to peek over and could see that the waterfall was running through a pitless hole.

However, just beyond the edge, there was another edge full of plants and flowers, but among the plants, there was a medium-sized book. The book looked very ancient and as if it had never been touched for a very long time.

Nevertheless, those letters on the book were still as ancient and vibrant as ever. She would never forget about this book, this book was where everything had started, was it not?

The book of spells…

Mi Rong leaned on the edge and carefully reached out to fetch the book from where it was placed. All these years, she had been looking for this and now, here it was.

She retrieved the book in her hands and delicately opened the pages. Her fingers ran through the pages, but this place was slightly too dark for her to have a peace of mind reading this.

Her eyes searched for an exit and just on her left, there was a small cave way where sounds of wind whistling could be heard. She went inside and as she reached the end, another beautiful place came into her vision.

Green mellowy grass was paved vastly in front of her. On her right side, there was the view of the entire city, while on her right, there was another big waterfall flowing down majestically. Then in front of her stood a humungous Eucalyptus tree. However, this place grew a great resemblance to mount she used to climb up with her brother with.

Unless this was the place.

The place she had been looking for all this time; it was this close.

Quietly, she walked to the huge and slowly settled down under the tree. Mi Rong began opening the spellbook that was in her hands and read through the contents inside. Despite the old written language in the book, it was as if this language was innate.

Some of these spells were the ones she had some knowledge of and some of them were truly an eye opening. As she got to the middle page of the book, a familiar object had caught her eyes.

It was not big, but it was a pair. Titled of the page was written, "Long Tian cuff sword"

Ah...the twin swords.

In the page, there wrote the spell for the twins to call each other, but just a little down below it laid a spell especially made for the Long cuff sword.

Hm, she had remembered giving on to Jun Kai on the day of the auction. Well, she wondered what he would do with it…

Save his wife?

Well, maybe not anymore. Mi Rong began chanting the spell. Not long, floating in front of her was the very same Long cuff sword. She reached out for the sword and just as her hand had retrieved it, someone spoke from behind her.

"Ah, so that's where it is?" A deep husky voice spoke from behind her.

However, Mi Rong's eyes turned cold and in an instant, she was back up on her feet and was bolting towards the clad in purple with the Long sword pointing directly at him. Somehow her speed must have gotten faster for she could feel the strong wind against her face. Her sword was aimed directly at his heart.

Meanwhile, Li Ye's eyes had turned sad. She wanted to kill him since the moment she heard his voice? Sigh, how much hatred did she have for him?

Maybe it was time. He looked around and could see the entire place; heaven's persuasion would soon start. At least, he was here before heaven's representative, Yue Lin.

Slowly, Li Ye reached for his mask and began untying it. Soon, the purple cloth fell off from his face and flew away along with the wind.

His face was finally revealed to the person in front of him.

Mi Rong's body came to an abrupt halt just a few steps away from him. This, how could this be? Li Ye, he was...

"Doctor Li?" Mi Rong did not even want to believe the name that she had called out.

Doctor Li smiled a familiar smile, a smile he always had for her.

Of course...the Li's in their names. How she could not have thought of this. Then again, the 'Ye' in his name, could it be…"Mister Ye?"

"Mi Rong ah, so now you remember me. Doctor Li, Mister Ye, whatever you know me, just call me Li Ye." Li Ye spoke in a warm voice.

Mi Rong hesitated. No, rather, she was in a big hole of speechlessness. This person, the good times she had spent with him and the good times he had helped her, she regarded him a friend and he had a special place in her heart just like anyone she knew.

Li Ye could see everything going on in her heart and wanted to slightly bend her thoughts into his, "I see your hesitation Mi Rong. The heavens are ruthless. Why do their dirty job for them? Come to me I've always loved you since the very beginning." He trailed for a brief moment before continuing, "The trial was for you to be heartbroken, so their fate will be fulfilled."

Mi Rong's brows became knitted. However, deep inside, she was following along with him except for the part where he spoke he loved her. Nevertheless, the trial and heaven, they were sure ruthless.

"Look at this place. So many memories and so many bloodsheds. Though this place is as beautiful as heaven, look beyond you, this place is nothing but a cage." With a swift of motions, Li Ye revealed what the entire place looked like. It was a big circle covering the entire place. How did he know this? Well, he had spent all these years living in here with his sworn enemy, the heavens.

Then just outside the circle, something had caught Mi Rong's eyes. Xiao Bai? It was Xiao Bai but he was chained. White chains on his feet and a muzzle covering his mouth. No…

"Ah, that is what the heavens do Mi Rong. They lock people up and leave them to rot." Li Ye took a few steps forward and gently placed his hand on her soft face, "Let me show you something…."
