For a moment she looked incredulous.
Was he messing with her?
"Christain?", Angelize said in a questioning tune.
No response.
After a lot of time passed and still there was no movement Angelize decided to do something else.
She poked him.
Still no response.
She shook him.
"Christain?"
No response. She saw his face was flushed red and his breath were coming shallow.
Was he really unconscious?
Angelize was more confused than before.
Who was that guy again?
He looked so composed and had seen right through her previously. He had actually managed to give Angelize a hard time thinking of ways to get rid of him.
And then he fainted?
Just like that?
Why is he so scared of his grades? So what if his grades fall a little? Are his parents so scary?
A lot of students had their eyes on him since the beginning. When they observed that something was not normal, they gathered around their desk. Once it was confirmed that Christain was unconscious, his crazy fans ran to him frantically.
"You bitch! What have you done to him?", one of his fan spat at Angelize.
"This freak must have blackmailed him with something. Or why would he agree to pair with her? Now look at him. He couldn't stand the idea of working with that freak. My poor Christain"
Blackmailed him?
Angelize:"{-.-}"
"Why are you guys talking bullshit! First help me to take him to infirmary. We will deal with that freak later!", a little sensible among them utterd.
They put their idol on a stretcher and took him to infirmary while Angelize stayed at her place baffled.
That to say he'll be a lot easier to deal with than she anticipated.
Then Angelize thought she hadn't ever suffered parental upbraiding so she might not be able to grasp the concept. She felt a twinge of guilt.
She might have been a little too harsh on that kid.
"What did you do to him?", it was Sarah turn to reprimand her.
Angelize shrugged innocently.
"I just assured him that we won't be falling in the last 10. So he needn't to worry"

Angelize furrowed her brows.
What's with Sarah exaggerated response now?
"I don't know what level of easy-going and malleable parents you have but that's not the case with rest of us!"
Angelize never told anybody about her parents. All they knew was that they had some business and lived at a far place.
Why do these brats treat parents like they are devil minions?
Sarah could only imagine the amount of torment Christain had to endure. Its okay if your grades stay constant but if your grades fall parents would turn to hitler and treat you like jews. And she had heard about the strict nature of Christain father. Once is an assignment, he was not ranked in first ten and his father had forced him to attend summer school.
Her own parents would confiscate her cell if her rank fell out of first hundred student.
Imperial College held an environment of immense competition and even the last ranked student had an IQ of 120. So naturally parents were overly-cautious. For it had a policy to expel last ten ranked students after every monthly evaluation.
Getting into this college is not easy at all unless your father is president. So that policy had an extraordinary outcome as it successfully reduced the percentage of idlers. Who would want to get expelled after entering the college using great efforts and connections?
Once Sarah fixed Angelize with her glare, she finally uttered to placate her.
"Fine! I'll go to see him"
Later that day Angelize went to give him a visit. His fans scrowled at her but she ignored them.
As it turned out to be that Christain already had asthma and Angelize words worsened his condition. That seemed reasonable. Who would faint simply after hearing a few words from a fragile looking girl like her?
Couldn't he tell she was saying that to get under his skin?
He was smart so he must have known that.
She told Christain that she would be doing her best and assured him once again that they wouldn't fall in last ten. She told him that she was joking. And she would do her best to make it in first hundred.
After all she was not the one who picked on someone who was ailing and out of strength.
First hundred was a far cry from what Christain wanted.
So once he listened to her, Christain face turned paler. The nurse ushered Angelize out.
Angelize couldn't understand what was wrong with him? She said those words to ease him but they only worsened his health. First hundred was the best she could do. She couldn't afford to get in first fifty student. After all they were publicized widely. And she couldn't let her face getting in college magazine.

"You bitch! You're the one who seduced Zayden", a loud voice ranged in the classroom, attracting a lot of idle students. Their spirits heightened as they anticipated a good drama.
Angelize slowly looked up from her book. Her eyebrows knitted slightly.
"Do I know you?", her voice said calmly
Caroline, who was standing right beside the girl who barked at Caroline, was taken back. That was like a hard slap to her.
She was the beauty queen of the college!
Everyone knew her. She was famous.
Who in the college didn't know her!
"Don't play dumb! You very well know who we are", Ashley barked once more when she saw Caroline face turning uglier.
Angelize furrow deepend and it seemed like that she was trying to recall. Beside her Sarah seemed to have recognized them and she shuddered silently.

"And the next you would say you don't even know Zayden with whom you've been sleeping with!"
That revelation earned a lot of gasps. Although a lot of people didn't believe it because they had witnessed Zayden sucking up to Angelize and her never giving him a face.
Angelize eyes deepened.
"He was the one who had been pestering her even going to the extent to harass her. Angelize had never slept with him!", Sarah couldn't control herself. She hadn't inherited the level of Angelize calmness.
At this Ashley laughed coldly.
"Do you think he needs to pursue a freak like her?"

Why didn't this girl snarled out anything right away after being humiliated in public? How would they expose her ugly side to everyone like that?
