The Queen walked closer to Hue Chi and Yu Sha, while looking at Yu Sha up and down in disdain. Even she, with Queen status and mother of Hue Chi, she still talks to him with respect. She's never criticized his decisions and the way he works. How could a mere lowly outsiders condemned her son for how the country is being run?
In the past, the Queen was always very thoughtful, always checked with Hue Chi if he's available for meal, available to see her before she goes to visit him, but today, she came unannounced. Since the banquet last time, she has been thinking of ways to approach her son and find ways for him to meet with Kao Sheng. Her fear is that if she does not act soon, her son might really marry someone who lives in different world, does not know royal etiquette and could also bring him down. She had people investigated Yu Sha's background and was not fond of her background at all.
Yu Sha puts her hand down on the table while still holding the teacup. She narrowed her eyes angrily at Hue Chi. Everyone misunderstood their relationship and now the royal is coming after her. Seeing the action of her son, the Queen's heart squeezed a few times from internal rage, almost causing her to fall. Her nostrils flares as she took a few heavy breaths trying to calm her composure. He willingly volunteers to do it himself. For the first time, gender chores were brought up to her. She has seen her father made feast and delicious meals for her mother. Her parents never had rules of what a woman should do and man should do. You do act of kindness for someone because you want to, not because you have to.
Yu Sha glanced down at her teacup and sighed tiredly not wanting to deal with the drama, she looked up and spoke, "I have things to do. Have a great lunch." With that she stood up and sped off to her room closing the door shut. Standing behind the door, she rolled her eyes and quietly mimicked the Queen's words as she walked around the wall to the closet.
Hue Chi does not want to create more awkward moments for Yu Sha. She declared her answer already and is not joining them for lunch. But based on her behavior, he could predict what she plans to do. He looked at his Queen mother and said, "Mother, you two leave first. I'll meet you downstairs."
The Queen had found out that her son and Yu Sha are living in the same penthouse together. To get into the two, she had invited Kao Sheng and had ordered meal from the restaurant to be delivered to the balcony of the penthouse. That way, Yu Sha and Hue Chi are not alone together. She'll do anything to reduce and eventually eliminate their time together as much as possible. "Hue Chi, there is no need. I have meals delivered here out in the balcony."
Hue Chi paused briefly, his face expressionless like he was thinking of something else. His calm stoic composure made both the Queen and Kao Sheng distressed. The Queen has never been so assertive with her son before. It was hard for her to even guess his reaction.
Soon, Hue Chi stood up from the couch and replied with a single word, "Mm.."
He then walked past the Queen and Kao Sheng to the hallway and disappeared into the same room that Yu Sha had gone in earlier. When the Queen and Kao Sheng saw that he went into the same room, both of them almost lost their balance, unable to stand straight. Kao Sheng's handbag slipped off from her hands while her mind tries to reasons with the possibilities.
The Queen was speechless, shaking her head in denial of the reality she just witnessed.
Inside Yu Sha's room, around the wall to the right was the closet. Yu Sha at this point was looking at the closet deciding what to wear. When her mind made up on a dress, she reached her hand to her waist and undo the waist rope. Just when she reached for the collar to slid off the robe, she felt someone behind her.
Yu Sha pushed her right elbow back trying to elbow the presence behind her only to be held tightly. She turned to her right to look at the presence almost kissing Hue Chi on the cheek.
His sudden appearance made Yu Sha gasped as her eyes widened from shock. When did he came in? How did he get in? she already locked the door! Her face was so closed to his face, he blocked her elbow and held tight onto her right arm while his left hand also restricting her left arm. He whispered in a low crisps tone, "There are laws in this country that governs the people. Those who committed crimes should be left to the law to make judgment. No assaulting people."
Yu Sha could feel his hot breath swirling around her earlobes making her body shudders. She was not sure if the reaction was from the sudden sneak from behind or from the stimulus of his hot breath or crisps voice that seems to echo repeatedly in her ears.
