They looked like small butterflies, but they were actually boomerangs made of energy.
The dancing boomerangs spun rapidly and gathered around the flying thunderblades like moths to a flame.
And then, they covered the blades entirely as if eating them until they were dead…!
Still, Macoco was refusing to throw her weapon, the boomerang.
Butterfly Boomerang was just the unleashing of energy.
She would have been able to throw it as soon as the energy was released, meaning she could attack again immediately..
However, she stubbornly kept it in her hand.
“Achile! We’ll target the cat!”
“Ca-cat!? Which cat!?”
There were three…cats here!
One was Necoco Strange after changing her race to Nekomata through an effect from Yokai Transform: Nekomata.
In this state, your attacks and speed stats were raised, and you could jump in the air twice.
Furthermore, you looked more like a cat than usual.
The other two were a red cat and a blue cat that were created through Necoco’s Miracle Effect, ‘Cat God Cat Beckon.’
The red cat was the ‘Sun Beckoning Cat,’ while the blue one was the ‘Shadow Banish Cat.’ And they both had their own effects.
“The red one! The one with the boomerang stuck to it!”
Macoco pointed to the red cat. Indeed, there was a boomerang stuck on it.
As if being pulled by a magnetic force…
Yes, this was the effect of the Sun Beckoning Cat.
It pulled in projectiles so they stuck to its body!
Not only that, but its pull was so strong, that you would not be able to retrieve it if it was an ordinary skill or charge attack!

While you could only deal damage in a small area, it was much more efficient if you were only attacking a single enemy.
The force that they were fired at was also very strong, and so it could also be used to push back at an enemy attack.

Against this wave of arrows, Necoco put her blue cat forward.
The blue cat’s effect was the opposite of the red cat. In other words, it could blow away projectiles!
The numerous arrows bounced away as if being repelled by an opposing magnet.
Sadly, they only bounced off, and it was not a counter that sent them back to the enemy.
On the other hand, it had the power to block a charge attack head on. But in the end, both cats were only effective for intercepting attacks.

And then a red blade shot out and slashed Anne…!
At the same time, Giant Daybreak Star crushed Achile… Or it should have.
“It looks like my attack caused you to miss, so that the iron ball hit the ground next to Achile. Also, now that you’ve been killed, your attacks won’t have hitboxes. Even if the after shock hit Achile, it wouldn’t be able to damage…”
Due to the dust in the air from the iron ball, she could not see Achile.
However, Anne knew that Macoco was right.
She was more than capable of attacking while also keeping track of the iron ball’s trajectory.
“You really are an occultic person, Macoco. When listening to Achile talk about you… No, her mere existence assured me of it. Still, we will not lose this battle…!”

“I knew that you were planning to attack us individually. But now that you’re here… I won’t let you escape, alright?”
