With a deep breath Akito looked towards the envelope in his table. His coffee that had been handed to him for a while now have long lost its warmth, yet he still had no desire of drinking it.

His mind was filled with his sister's saddened state and the words composing the letter. A letter that arrived at the same time when Akihiro received his letter from Kaoru.

A knock brought him back to his senses, the door slowly opened and a servant came in while bowing her head.

"The lady still ate too little. She was only eating in order not to go hungry," she reported respectfully.

Akito nodded his head and dismissed her. He sighed as he once again look down at the letter.

His mind was in conflict, seeing the condition Akira was in. He wanted to tell her but he knows that once she finds out, she would surely do everything in order to return.

But he understood Kaoru even more, he was a lone man over there. A few seconds of him not watching over Akira, danger would befall her.

He stretched out his hand and picked up the envelope before opening it and taking the letter inside.

~I am apologizing in advance for I might, no, I would be hurting Akira all over again. I have noticed the danger surrounding her as time pass by. Which allowed me to realize that they knew of my real identity and the real reason why I came here.~

~The supposed to be preliminary investigation, became a real investigation. I can only move forward, for I know that if I back down now, I won't get another chance to take up the throne.~

~I am taking up my sword once again, this is the only way to shut the current higher up's mouths. But taking it up also mean that I might lose sight of my surrounding all over again. And that is something I no longer wanted Akira to witness over again.~

~Do watch over her for me. I'm going to hurt her for it is necessary for the people out here to cast their gazes away from her and for her to leave this place and be in a safe surrounding.~

~There is only one thing that I promise, I shall return for her. Once this place is safe enough for her to live in, I shall get her back. But not yet now, so don't tell her anything for she might get up and return causing her her life.~

After reading the letter all over again, Akito sighed. He is mad but even this anger was pacified by his reason.

A man who loves would always put their beloved's safety first, even if that meant they need to hurt them.

"Why did the princess took after you in this aspect?" he asked as if asking Kaoru himself.

"Brother."

Akira's soft voice startled him as he frantically placed the letter in his drawer and following it was the envelope.

"I heard you ate so little again," he nonchalantly asked as he pick up his cup and drank his coffee, to which he furrowed his brows for it was already cold.

"What was that letter?" Akira asked as she sat down across her brother.

"Yes, a letter from the king, it was regarding a matter I can't disclose to others," Akito replied. Well this was half truth, for Kaoru was on his journey to become the king after all.

"Do you think, Kaoru will be fine on his own, in there?" Akira asked softly, her sharpness and calmness from the past was changed to an uncertain one.

"What are you talking about? Aren't you supposed to be mad at him? He harshly threw you away just like that," Akito replied with bitterness, despite his anger being pacified by his reason, it was still his sister who was wronged after all.

"No, the one who wronged me was not Kaoru. I know that that was a mask, I don't know if he deliberately pushed me away or if it was truly his wish. But I know that that man was not him."

"So you're saying that if he returns with the attitude that you define as the real Kaoru. You'll accept him just like that?"

Akira smiled a little as she shakes her head, "If he indeed return for me, then I can only get back at him for making me feel this miserable. But until then I shall do as he wish and remain here."

Akito smiled as he stood up and pat her head, "You thought about everything thoroughly?"

"I can't always wallow in pain after all. And I am already old enough to get back up my feet."

She stood up and was about to leave, without turning around she spoke once again, "If that letter is very important that the king have given you, then you shouldn't have left it in a very visible place where anyone can see it."

Akito's eyes grew wide, he opened his mouth to say something but nothing comes to mind.

"Don't worry, that letter allowed me to calm down a lot. But I'll make him experience hell when he returns. I should probably ask Lady Layla how she made it difficult for sir Leo."

With that, Akira left his office with lighter steps. Akito could only sit back down in his chair and drink the already ice cold coffee.

*****

The man was sitting in a tree once again, he was laughing so hard as he watch over the kingdom.

"Amazing, this world is really filled with so many people and all of them have different personalities. It is indeed the best choice to stay here for a bit longer, who would have thought I'll still experience enjoyment after that war?"

He laughed once again as he remembered all the interactions that have happened between the people, especially those who were close to Eureka.

'I think even if you stay a little longer, you will still find so many enjoyable things around here.'

"That is indeed right. Are you really just a human to know all of this? Or you are just like me? Just born in a human body? Truly how interesting," he smiled and looked up in the sky.

Afterwards he looked towards the location where Hesperian kingdom was.

"Another good show is about to begin. Picking up your weapon after throwing it away, will you be able to wield it just like before? Interesting, truly interesting."

*****

After the thousandth swing, sweat drips down his face and bare chest. The body beneath the clothes he always wear have always been toned and anyone who'd see it would think that it was sculpted.

His frivolous attitude was the only reason why people tend to think that his body was that of normal. No one would have guessed that he actually had it toned despite no longer carrying his sword.

The sword he just swang was one third longer than what Eureka and the others wield, it is also double the width of their sword. It was not too big but it was not of the normal size either.

His eyes that have always been playful had a sharp look in them, a cold glint flashed within it as he remembered how they have threatened Akira's life six times.

"That was not only threatening, they were really planning on getting her injured that might last a lifetime."

He wiped his face and body before picking up a cup that was filled with tea, he sipped on it, "Eureka, I picked it up once again. I just hope you would be here to see it. You are the one who never stopped telling me to pick it up once again after all."

Kaoru looked outside his window as he remembered how Eureka had always told him to pick up his sword during the times he spar with her and he uses a stick.

'You really are belittling me.'

'You pushed Raven to be my sparring partner because you can no longer keep up with the sword, then you should have just picked up the sword.'

'I already told you, I'll never seriously practice with you again unless you pick up your real sword.'

'The weapon always carries our darkest times. But it is also what gives those around us the peace they deserve.'

'It might have went against your will and hurt her. But isn't it the one who was with you and guarded her from the remaining enemies?'

'I hope in the future I'll get the chance to see you proudly holding your sword all over again.'

"Truly why aren't you here when everything that you really wanted was actually happening?" he couldn't help but say as he look up in the sky.

"Come back now, Eureka. So many people are waiting for you."

*****

In another world, the ground shook intensely once again. this time the two of them were in the place where she is in slumber. They saw how her finger moved and her eyelids fluttered.

But just as she returned to be unmoving, the ground stopped moving as well.

"People must be calling for her again," she said to the man as she leaned on him.

"That only means that she had more than enough reason to wake up and return to them."
