And the boss seemed to be in a bad mood. His face was dark and Jacob swore he could see a dark aura around Jeremy. Uh oh...

Didn't the boss say he would not come to work today?

So why was he here? And why was his mood so bad? Did he fight with his lover again?

Poor them... again.

Jacob took a deep breath to gather all the strength he could master and then got up to approach his boss. He gave a smile at the boss as he greeted him politely.

"What's my schedule today?" Jeremy asked as his feet brought him closer to his office. He did not even look at the others. His eyes narrowed dangerously.

The workers all waited until both Jeremy and Jacob entered the office and the door was closed before they gathered together.

"I thought the boss will not be here today," one of them whispered. They dared not speak loudly just in case the boss could hear their gossip.

"Did you see his face?" another whispered.

"He's having a bad mood, isn't he?" another asked worriedly.

"I'm going to get sick. I think I need to go to the clinic," one of them said faintly, holding her head. When she first entered the company, she was excited to work so close to Jeremy. However, a week in the company made her realize the persona of Jeremy the singer was just that, a mask. In the office, there was no such thing as a cheerful and friendly Jeremy. It's either a serious and hardworking Jeremy or a bad-mood, serious and hardworking Jeremy.

Her friends all envied her for working in this company but only she knew the pressure to reach the expectation of the big boss (Jeremy) in the office. But she would never tell this to her friends. Let them all envied her while she slaved herself and at the end of the month, received quite a lot for salary. Yes, despite the high expectation, the company really paid well for each of them.

Sigh. She thought today she did not have to face the mountain of stress while doing the report. She made a mistake and needed to redo them before submitting them back to her supervisor. She was hoping to work in a cheerful atmosphere but the big boss seemed to be in a bad mood, which would give more stress to the whole office because it would make it easier for the big boss to find a mistake in their work.

Oh no...

Unaware of the stress his workers were having upon seeing him coming to the office today (when he already announced he would not be here today), Jeremy sat at his table and stared at his personal assistant.

"What's my schedule today?"

But now...

How was he supposed to tell the boss that he has no meeting or... anything?

Jacob took a deep breath and lifted up his head to look at Jeremy. He gave a slight smile at the boss, trying to gather his courage. Then, he opened his mouth.

"You have no meeting today, boss. And you also have no appointment to attend to," Jacob said with batting breath, waiting for Jeremy to say something back.

Oh..." that was all Jeremy said before he waved his hand, signaling Jacob to leave.

"Excuse me, sir," Jacob excused himself and quickly left the room, running for his life actually. He did not forget to close the door before he returned to his desk, blowing a relief sigh.

"Are you okay?" some of the colleagues came and asked him hurriedly.

"Okay. You all should go back to your station and do your work properly," Jacob told them, waving his hand.

"Are you sure?"

"Hmm... you should go now before he notices," Jacob used his eyes to signal them whom he was talking about.

They gasped and quickly rushed to their seat. They did not want to be scolded or punished by the boss. Worse, they did not want their salary to be deducted. It was not impossible because the boss did that before.

Jeremy stood up once Jacob left and walked to the big window. He looked outside the window with his hands in the pockets. He sighed heavily. He missed her already. Did she miss him?

"Ryn, how could you leave me like this?" he murmured sadly. He had no idea how to make her open up her heart and remember him as her boyfriend. He wanted to be the number one in her heart. He wanted her to put him in first for everything. Was it so hard to do? He did not ask much in this relationship. He just wanted her care and attention. That was all.

He leaned against the wall, still gazing out of the window, and mooned over Ryn. Would Ryn miss him? Would she call him?

*~*~*~*

The person who was on Jeremy's mind was actually too busy to remember about her poor possessive boyfriend. She was too busy doing her fitting as well as the rehearsal before the real show. Today she joined the other models for a fashion show at a famous club.

She adjusted the strap of her heels and her dress, waiting patiently behind the stage for her turn. Once it was her time, she put a hand on her right hip and started to strut down the runway. She maintained a slight smile as she showed off the dress.

Mei Li was waiting backstage, checking her phone. She needed to check those models under her especially Harry, the new cub. She already ordered him to fix his exercise regime and lose a bit of weight. She also needed to know his progress in his modeling class.

Ryn approached her when she was done with her work. She only changed her clothes back but did not clean the makeup or undid the hair. She would take a quick shower at home before going out with Mika. Instead of waiting for Mika to pick her up here, she would meet her later.

Ryn planned to have a power nap before she went to meet Mika. She really needed that power nap to energize herself.

"Mei Li, I'm done," she told her manager.

"One minute," Mei Li replied. Her fingers were typing on the screen rather furiously. And then, she placed it to her ear and spoke to the person on the other line.

Ryn just pursed her lips but did not complain. She felt sorry for Mei Li for having to help to bring her everywhere because she still did not have a driving license. Once she passed her exam, she did not think she has to put the burden on Mei Li to bring her around. She also did not have to depend on either Mika or Jeremy to help her. She could go there by herself unless she needed someone to accompany her, especially lunch or dinner meetings. She needed Mei Li to help her discussing with the prospective employer.

It took Mei Li for almost ten minutes to be done with her conversation. She even wrote in her notebook while talking. Ryn checked her own phone while waiting. Most of the models already left while some were waiting for their ride. The staffs were busy packing things. It was loud and noisy in this havoc place. But Ryn was so used to this kind of situation so she did not find it annoying.

"Alright, let's go," Mei Li called Ryn once she was done. She actually managed to get another contract for Ryn and wanted to discuss this on the way home.

"Let's go. Let's go. I'm so hungry," Ryn rubbed her stomach sadly. She swore the dress she wore for the show just now a bit lose just because she could not eat more food. SHe did not have enough time to eat as much as she wanted with the time from the fitting until the show so limited. She only managed to get an egg sandwich and two packs of mixed rice to get by but it was not enough. She was starving!

"So drive-through or dine in?" Mei Li asked as they walked to the car after saying goodbye to everyone.

"Drive-through. It's quicker than eating at the restaurant," it did not take long for Ryn to decide. She was already thinking about the burger she wanted to eat. Double them up. If she could not finish them by the time Mika came, she could just throw them into the freezer and reheat them back for breakfast tomorrow. Ryn grinned at her brilliant plan.
