Someone should be an adult in this kind of situation.

And that person would be her. Whether she liked it or not.

Sigh.

Another deep breath and another heavy sigh before she was able to control her emotion. She turned to look at her childish boyfriend who was supposed to be a genius.

And he was older than hers! He should be able to control his emotion better. Where was the cold prince of business? She could barely see that man in him today. And she wondered whether the person who gave that nickname to Jeremy was being blind. This Jeremy did not look cold at all. He was being childish through and through!

"Jeremy," she chided.

He ignored her. He pretended to be so focused on his driving, he could not hear anything else.

"Jeremy," her voice went higher seeing how childish he has become. Couldn't he stop acting this way and have a very adult conversation with her? Was it so hard?

So frustrating!

"We're here," he said finally as he switched the signal to the left. He looked through the mirror before he turned to the left.

She looked outside and realized they were already outside the agency. He simply parked outside the main entrance and did not bother to find an empty parking lot.

Ryn turned back to look at Jeremy with a deep breath. "Jeremy, stop being so stubborn. I'm going in now. You should go straight to the office."

He leaned forward to kiss her lips gently. He pulled slightly and touched the top of her head, "You be good, and don't go see that boy."

Her eyes widened in shock at his order. How could he...?

She was about to argue but canceled her plan when she saw there were people outside watching full of interest. It would be embarrassing to be caught arguing with this stubborn bull. She sighed and reached for her bag before opened the door.

"Drive carefully," she reminded.

"I love you, Ryn. Goodbye," he said with a smile on his handsome face.

She twitched her lips but did not echo the same words, only mumbling her bye before she got out of the car. She ignored the calls from the media and walked into the building like she did not hear all the cry and questions. She also ignored the flashes of light.

Luckily, there were securities who handled them so they could not block Ryn from entering. But they felt stuffed and happy when they saw Jeremy the man who sent Ryn to work and he even kissed her despite seeing them. So much news they could create from these pictures!

He watched her entering the agency with a frown. Still, she refused to utter those three words even though they could no longer keep their relationship in secret. And why did he have the feeling that she would ignore his order and would go see that young kid?

With a scowl on his face, he switched the gear and drove the car away, ignoring the calls from the reporters trying to get his comment. He bet his personal assistant, Jacob, was wringing his hands in worry when he still did not reach the office. Once his relationship with Ryn was revealed to the world, there would be a lot of things to do to control the situation. Yesterday he already ordered his team to send just a simple message about his privacy and people should respect it. Despite that, he knew it was important for him and his team to do something, especially when regarding their business partners.

Ryn entered the agency with her cheeks reddened, especially when she saw so many people looking at her. She tried not to show her awkwardness receiving such a look but it was hard. This was why she refused to reveal their relationship when she agreed to accept him back. She disliked receiving this kind of look by others as if she was a show for them to be entertained with.

If only she stayed firm and told him not to buy her jewelry. No. She should just put her foot down and insisted on them going to her usual grocery store, not the most expensive shopping complex in town.

If only...

She adjusted her backpack and took a deep breath to calm down. Lifting her head high, she strutted toward Mei Li's office. Now what she should do was to help Mei Li control the situation and make sure none of her clients pull out or sue her because of her relationship with Jeremy. And she also has to make sure none of the reporters or paparazzi disturbing her, Mei Li, Jeremy, and those with whom she was close.

"Mei Li, are you inside? Can I come in?" Ryn asked as she knocked on the wooden door. She heard her manager's weak voice telling her to come in and she turned the knob to open the door.

Her brows lifted in surprise to see her manager having such huge dark eye bags and even the face was still a bit pale.

"Are you okay?" Ryn asked worriedly. She closed the door and dropped her bag onto the couch nearby. Then, she went to Mei Li.

Her manager just rubbed her temples with a loud sigh. She was still having a huge headache. One part was from the lack of sleep and another reason because of the situation she needed to handle.

"If you're still sleepy, you just continue your nap. I will come back later," Ryn suggested. It was clear how much sleep-deprived Mei Li was and in her opinion, sleepy Mei Li would end up sicker if she insisted to handle this without having enough rest. So, Mei Li should just sleep to gather all her energy before...

"It's okay. I'm alright," Mei Li assured despite the yawn from her mouth and her unfocused eyes. It was such a weak declaration when the proof showed otherwise.

"No. You go have your nap. I will come back in two hours or three," Ryn decided. She should go to the meeting alone, to give chance for Mei Li to rest. Once the meeting was over, she would return here and discuss what to do with her.

"What about the meeting?" Mei Li asked. She was worried the brand would cancel the contract because of what happened.

Despite Ryn's professionalism in her work, the scandal could affect her work and that was a big no in the industry. It would affect her chance of getting the job.

"Don't worry. If they like my work, the contract is mine. If not, it's not mine," Ryn shrugged. She did not care that much about signing the contracts. Brands usually rushed to get her, not for her looking for them. Yes, it sounded arrogant but she just being honest. Besides, her comeback into the modeling world because she was helping a friend and consequently signed a contract with the agency. Truth be told, she had no plan to continue her contract once it ended. She wanted to return back to being a normal person.

She could not believe how she missed the time she could spend doing everything she wanted without care. She did not have to think about her schedule nor the exercise she had to do to keep up her stamina to complete her work.

Sigh. Two years more to go. And she promised herself these years she would do her best and put a lot into her saving for the future. Once she reached the end of the contract, she would return to live with her parents and find a job suitable for her.

The house she bought? If her parents did not want to live here, she could just sell it. Even if she came to the city, she could borrow Mika's place to spend the night and she knew her best friend would love it.

Poor Jeremy. Ryn forgot about him again when planning for her future. Maybe deep inside, the scar he left resulted in her unconscious mind deliberately forgetting about him. The mind and heart were still worried that he would hurt her again.

"How are you going there?" Mei Li asked. She sat on the couch holding a small fluffy pillow which Ryn pushed into her hands and looked at Ryn who bent down to get a small blanket from the cabinet.

"I can take a cab. Don't worry," Ryn assured her. She handed the blanket to Mei Li, "Don't worry. Everything will be alright. Trust me."

Mei Li nodded dumbly. If Ryn said so, it meant she had the confidence to handle it. She turned to look at her still ringing phone. She put it on silent after the whole night listening to its ringing non-stop. She sighed again.

Ryn looked at the way her manager looked and twitched her lips unhappily. Were the reporters have nothing to do until she, a boring model, was being chased non-stop by them? What kind of news they could create from a nobody like her?

So weird.
