Mei Li watched as Ryn wolfed down two plates of steaks. The steaks Ryn was eating was the heaviest steaks offered in the restaurant. It was actually less than her usual portion but it seemed like Ryn has less appetite today. Mei Li frowned at the thought. Was Ryn not feeling okay?
"So, what's our schedule after this?" Ryn asked after she sipped her juice. She was too lazy to check her phone and wanted her manager to inform her.
Mei Li took out her phone and frowned. She forgot about the shooting for the program. She has already discussed everything with the producer once she was contacted by him. Or has she told Ryn about this? She was not sure.
"Ryn," she started. She put down the cutlery she used on the plate and patted her lips with the napkin.
"Hmm..." Ryn chewed a small piece of the steak before reached for another sip of her drink. The steak, although not as delicious as Harry's cooking but still acceptable. Besides, she was too hungry to be too picky.
"Have I told you about the shooting for 'A Day In My Busy Life'?" Mei Li asked carefully once she saw Ryn already gulped down another sip of juice.
Ryn frowned. Haven't they already shoot it last time?
"What about it? I thought we've done it already."
She guessed she forgot to inform Ryn but the date... She gulped.
"Actually, the producer wants to shoot another episode and the date is... next week... during your driving test," Mei Li revealed.
Ryn's eyes widened. Her driving test?
"Are you sure?" she choked out.
"Yes. I find that it is suitable and can show your other side," Mei Li explained.
Another side? Ryn narrowed her eyes at her manager suspiciously. Was Mei Li taking her as a joke? She did not do any jokes.
"What I mean is... they like your episode so much. It's the side of a model that is very very hard to find. So they want to know more about you. Besides, didn't you get to be the spokesmodel for the steak restaurant after your episode being on air?"
Ryn frowned, thinking. She did receive the offer after the episode being aired.
"But... it won't get me a free car," Ryn mumbled without thinking.
"Catherine," Mei Li gasped in shock. She could not believe what she just heard. Was this woman for real? And... since when Ryn cared about material things?
"Fine. Just kidding," Ryn shrugged. She did not expect much.
Mei Li blew out a sigh. Fortunately, it was just a joke.
"So, this Wednesday?" Ryn asked as she took out her phone and typed down the information. And then, she frowned. "But what if I still stay in the hotel?"
Mei Li's face changed. What to do? Then, she looked at Ryn hopingly, "What if you stay the night there? Surely you don't have to take too long to think, right?"
Ryn pursed her lips.
"Please, Ryn? Or we can shoot at your new place," Mei Li suggested.
"No," Ryn replied bluntly. She did not want her new place being 'invaded' by others except those close to her. She did not want her new address to be known by others. She did not want what happened last time, the reason behind her moving house, repeated again. She hated the feeling of vulnerable and scared.
Once was enough for her.
"So..."
"Where I stay that day... I will decide later. Right now I want to know what's my schedule next? Do I have photo shooting or runway?"
Mei Li checked the schedule and shook her head. "You have a dinner meeting with brand X."
"Okay. So, what time are you going to pick me up for dinner?" Ryn asked.
"Around 6.00 pm? You do have a dress, don't you?" Mei Li asked when she remembered the attire to wear. It would be inappropriate to wear jeans and a shirt for dinner.
"Yes. I only need to iron a little bit," Ryn shrugged. She brought along her mini iron so it would not be a problem at all. Luckily she brought a dress for this kind of event. Just a little bit of iron and the dress would look appropriate for any occasions.
"Good. I'll send you after this," Mei Li said as she waved at the waiter for the bill.
Run finished the rest of the steak, conveniently leaving all the greens on the plate. The only vegetable she ate was the whipped potato with nits of bacon and cheese.
Mei Li received her credit card with a smile and then stood up. She followed Ryn who was already walking toward the exit. She sighed seeing how eager Ryn was to leave. Mei Li supposed this model was exhausted and as her stomach already full and her hunger appeased, the only thing on her mind was sleeping. Mei Li had no doubt that was what Ryn would do once she reached her room.
Ryn pulled the safety belt with a loud clock and sighed. She was getting sleepier. The emotional stress and the work she had, and even the meal she just enjoyed made her eyes heavier and heavier as the time passing by. She let out a delicate yawn, signalling her body to prepare to sleep.
Mei Li did not say anything. She simply changed the gear and dro e the car away. She did not even bother to play any song ot music, not wanting to disturb Ryn's slumber.
The journey was quite uneventful with the manager focusing on her driving while Ryn focusing on her sleeping.
It took them almost 45 minutes to reach the hotel. Mei Li stopped the car at the entrance and turned to look at the sleeping model.
"Ryn, wake up. We've arrived," she said as she shook Ryn's shoulder. It took her several time before Ryn finally stirred.
"Hmm... we've arrived? Where are we?" Ryn asked as she rubbed her eyes sleepily.
"We've arrived at the hotel."
Ryn nodded dumbly. She remembered now that she was staying at this hotel temporary while thinking over her relationship with Jeremy. She unbuckled the safety belt and reached for her bag from behind. Then, she opened the door.
"I'll see you later, Mei Li. Anything just call me. Bye," Ryn said as she leaned forward after she got out of the car. She closed the door and entered the building. She could not wait to get to the room so she could continue her sleep.
"Bye, Ryn," Mei Li waved. Once she saw the model under her entering the building safely, she changed the gear to D and drove the car away. This time, she was going back to the office. There were some files for her to peruse, about the job opportunities for her other models. She also needed to check on her other models and Harry. Oh yes, has the boy feel better now?
Mei Li shook her head and focussed on her driving. She would call him once she reached the office.
Back to the hotel...
Ryn leaned drowsily againt the elevator's wall as the machine brought her closer to her floor. She ignored the pair of men eyeing her, too sleepy to care. Once the door opened with the announcement of which floor they were at, Ryn straightened herself and walked through the door.
She did not notice that the men were behind her, following her with a smirk and a rub on their jaws as they eyed her hungrily.
Ryn stopped and took out the card key from her bag. She waved it at the lock and pushed the door opened once the key was unlocked. She quickly closed the door.
The men groaned when the door closed before they could get into the room. They even heard it being locked twice and shared a look. Seeing how the woman was behaving, it was clear she was alone in the room. One of them licked his lips, staring at the door l.u.s.tily. Another looked around, trying to find a way to get into the room. With how sleepy the woman looked, it was a waste if they did not use this golden time to 'eat'.
"Are we going to stay here?" One man asked his partner. He could barely control his l.u.s.t. The woman was so beautiful and soft. If he managed to get his hands on her, he would not let her out of the bed for three days. He would make her do all sort of poses to fulfill his l.u.s.t.
The other man laid his hand against the door and grinned, "She will come out for dinner. During that time we'll just add a little bit of our happy powder."
The first man's eyes sparkled at the suggestion. With the 'happy powder' it would be a given that she would give her all to them. In fact, she would beg them to make her reach the highest pleasure. Ooh... tonight three of them would have a lot of fun.
