"And what?" Ryn had the feeling that this journey would be a nagging session or in Mei Li's own selfish opinion, a love lesson from Mei Li. To make it even worst, Mei Li has never even been in a relationship before! And she was acting like a love guru toward someone who actually has experience in love albeit with the same man. "I think you two acted like an old married couple. Boring. Bring in some spices in your relationship," Mei Li suggested.

Mei Li was stumped. She could feel That Ryn was not impressed with her. But she did not regret pointing it out and suggesting to her how to act with her boyfriend. Mei Li only wanted the best for Ryn and she did not want to see the younger woman miserable.
"Just... forget about it, "Ryn said finally. She felt silly trying to win against her manager on this silly topic. Regarding her relationship with Jeremy, she would not decide on it yet. She wanted to see what Jeremy would say later tonight. It gave both of them a chance to open up their heart and their mind. And if it ended with both of them taking their own separate way, they could do it with an open mind and know that they have tried their best. If fate said their love is still so strong to handle all the incoming challenges, nothing could break them apart.
That was what Ryn decided and that was that.
None of them said another word. Ryn stared at her phone silently, deep in her thought. Hopefully, this was the best.
Mei Li managed to find an empty parking slot at the restaurant. Ryn waited until Mei Li has finished arranging her handbag comfortably before she, together with her manager, went into the building.
The representatives from the brand were already there when they arrived. The waiter who showed then the room waited for Ryn and Mei Li to order their dinner before she excused herself. As Ryn has the habit of not eating much when during meeting with any brand, she only asked for dessert; chocolate lava pudding while Mei Li asked for salad.
It took only about an hour for the meeting to conclude with Ryn agreed to sign a contract for three years to be their spokesperson. Of course, Mei Li informed them about Ryn who was no longer single, which some brands thought not appropriate for their spokesperson to have.
So far none of the brands Ryn represented have no such clause but Ryn did hear some brands did put such condition for their model or the model has to paid some sums for going against the contract.
Ryn signed the contract and chatted some more. Although she was getting sleepy but she did not show it at all. Her eyes wide opened and her smile never left her face. The person in charge and his assistant were satisfied with Ryn. Ryn watched as Mei Li discussed when and where the advertis.e.m.e.nt would be shooting. She did not give any thought because she knew Mei Li would be aware when Ryn did not want her days to be disturbed.
Ryn and Mei Li shook hands with the men and although they wanted to send the women home, Mei Li knew what to say as an excuse. Of course, she would not reveal that Ryn has a 'date' with Jeremy later.
"Phew... done," Ryn murmured once the men left, finally left. She rubbed her nape tiredly as she sat back on the chair.
"Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you?" Mei Li asked after she sat back on her chair and drank the plain water. Discussing really dried up her throat. But later, she knew she would be rushing to the bathroom to pee. Whatever. She was thirsty so she would drink.
"No need. I have no doubt he would send me home. Insist to send me home," Ryn shrugged. She knew him already and could guess what he would do later... unless he made her angry again.
However, even if he made her angry, he would still insist to send her home for her own safety.
"Is he here?" Mei Li asked. She checked the time. It was almost the time that she booked the room.
"Maybe we should wait at that room?" Mei Li suggested. She did not want to leave Ryn alone. Once Jeremy has arrived, then Mei Li would leave. This restaurant, although only those who have booked the rooms could come this way but no one knew what would happen. She did not want Ryn to be left alone waiting and became a victim of any evil men.
"Yeah, sure." Ryn drank the rest of her juice. She seemed to be craving juice lately. Maybe she was getting busy and her schedule was so hectic that her body demanded her sugary drink. Hmm... maybe later she should go and check her body. She did not want to fall sick because of exhaustion or any other sickness.
They finished their drink and then Mei Li called for the waiter. She informed about the room she booked earlier and even asked if anyone was already there.
The waiter went to check and said there was no one there. Then, she (the waiter) asked if both women wanted to go to that room to wait.
Mei Li looked at Ryn but saw how absentminded Ryn has become. Maybe, despite giving the cold look, Ryn was worried inside. Mei Li sighed at Ryn and turned to look at the waiter with a smile.
"Please lead us the way," Mei Li asked the waiter.
The waiter nodded and walked in front. Mei Li grabbed Ryn's hand and pulled her, following behind the waiter. She was worried if she did not hold Run's hand, the younger woman would be left alone in that room, deep in her own thought.
The room she booked was at the second floor. It even has a balcony. Despite that, it was still away from others and Ryn and Jeremy could have their privacy when talking. Mei Li smiled approvingly. She did not want to comment about it looked like it was for two or three people. She did not mind that one because she would not stay there during Ryn and Jeremy's discussion. She would go straight home and sleep. Ooh... she could feel her bed was calling for her to lie down.
Please, Jeremy, come quickly so she could leave, her heart prayed.

Of course, as it was already night, she could not see anything except from the road lamp. The building facing the restaurant was dark. Ryn sighed.

"Are you okay, Ryn?" she asked worriedly.

"If you don't have the mood to meet him, we can just cancel this meeting," Mei Li suggested and winced. Was she crazy? "Hello."
"My love, I have arrived. Where are you?" Jeremy announced eagerly.
Ryn licked her dry lips as she looked at Mei Li. Her manager nodded her head.
"I'm waiting in the room," Ryn told him the name of the room before ended the call. She put the phone back onto the table and looked at her manager.
"He's here."
