"You have nothing," she muttered sulkily as she stared into the refrigerator.

Once they entered his house, he went straight upstairs to change his clothes while she made a beeline to the kitchen. First, she checked all the cabinet in the kitchen, hoping there was one or two junk food lying around. But no. The cabinet was empty except from a few plates, bowls, mugs and glasses. One cabinet was filled with pots and pans. A small drawer was filled with cutleries. There was a small section for condiments but could she eat them? No! She was still hoping and turned to the refrigerator. No food! Nothing. It was so empty, it looked wasteful to even switch it on.

Jeremy who was just walking down the stair after changing into a set of fresh clothes heard her complain. He froze and then gulped. Uh oh...

"You didn't have anything but water," she complained with a frown. Her eyes were still staring at the empty cold box.

He pulled his shirt nervously. He was screwed. Shouldn't there be something to eat in the cabinet or refrigerator? He could not remember. But... but...

"Sorry?"

She straightened up and closed the refrigerator. She approached him and placed her hands on her h.i.p.s. Although he was slightly taller than her until she had to lift up her head to stare at him, he felt like he was facing a very angry giant. The aura around her was murderous.

"Are we going to have breakfast now?" she demanded.

"Yes, love. We're going now. In fact, I have already booked a table so we don't have to wait long," he replied quickly. He had booked the table when he was choosing his clothes. He could already guess she could no longer wait for food so it was better to book a table and even their food before they go to the restaurant.

"You better," she did not care that it meant he would bring her to an expensive restaurant. She was too hungry to care.

He dropped a kiss on top of her head and went to pour himself a glass of water. He was thirsty and despite the glare from her, he actually drank two glasses of water.

"You don't even have coffee," she muttered as she watched him impatiently.

"We'll do grocery shopping after the moving company," he said.

"Hmph," she crossed her arms. She did not agree nor disagree with his plan. She just hmph. She was too hungry to care what they would do later. All she wanted was to eat. Was it too hard to give to her?

He pressed the button of the elevator, wishing for the door to open immediately. When she was hungry, she would get angry faster and he, as her 'loving husband' did not want to make her angry. He just gained her trust and on the risque of losing the tiny amount of it just because he forgot to prepare some snacks at home for her.

She crossed her arms and frowned. Her stomach was growling much louder and she did not like it at all. He promised that she could eat something when she followed him upstairs but it turned out he lied to her. She really hated being lied to.

Sensing the anger started to gather more and more in her, he tried to be as quiet as possible. Let her be. Just let her cool herself. Secretly, he took out his phone and typed something furiously. Then, he kept back the phone into his pocket.

She did not wait for hin once the elevator reached the bas.e.m.e.nt. She stepped forward to the car and tapped her foot impatiently. Her brows were almost touching as she frowned.

He quickly unlocked the door and opened it for her. He even leaned down to help to buckle her seat belt. Then, he rushed to the driver side to get into and started the engine.

"Be patience, love. We will arrive in no time," he promised as he adjusted the temperature and the music.

"You better be," she muttered. Her mood went from bad to worst. She was already having headache and her body felt uncomfortable from the gas filling her stomach. She hated being hungry the most.

In order to appease her, he increased the speed and acted like they were in a race. She did not scold him a little bit, not like she used to when Mika started driving restlessly. Her eyes narrowed at the road with her fingers tapping against her arms. Her arms were still crossed against her chest.

He did not dare to speak. He knew her anger came from being uncomfortable of being hungry. He checked the GPS and wished he could speed more but alas, the fate seemed to be against them. The traffic was quite bad.

Once they arrived, he blew out a heavy sigh of relief. He quickly shut off the engine and hopped out of the car, rushing to get to her side. Unfortunately, he did not have the chance to act like a gentleman to open the door for her when she did it by herself. She got out of the car and looked around with a frown.

"Is it there?" She pointed at a building not far from them. The place was so secluded she could not see any other car but them. And the building stood alone with no neighbour.

Did this place sell food for breakfast?

"Yes, love. Let's go. Our breakfast is waiting for us," he tried to hold her hand but she already walked to the building. He sighed. His shoulders dropped defeatedly. He lost completely to the food in her heart. He knew it was a lost competition but he was hoping she would put him first than the food.

"Love, wait for me," he quickly ran behind her. She did not even wait for him. It felt like he was unneeded, which saddened him but he told himself not to be so sad. She was starving so she's throwing a little bit of tantrum to show her displease. It was his fault for making her exhausted last night and then did not have anything to eat at home.

They reached at the door at the same time and a man opened the door for them with a huge smile.

"Welcome to Blue Lagoon," the man greeted cheerfully.

Ryn murmured her thanks and waited as Jeremy told the man his name. The man nodded and told them their food was ready. He then brought them to the door at the end of the room. It was actually the backyard overlooking the sea. It was beautiful with the flowers and trees and the sea.

Jeremy glamced at Ryn, hoping she liked his selection of the restaurant. However, to his dissapointment, there was nothing on her face that indicated she appreciated the beauty of the place. She was still frowning.

Jeremy sighed secretly. She was too hungry to care about other things than food. Luckily the waiter already informed them the food was ready or he mught ended up being dumped by Ryn on the spot. Seeing how bad mood Ryn was right now, he had no doubt she would do that.

The waiter did not dare to break the silence when he felt the coldness radiating from the lady. He glanced at the male customer but he just gave him a calming smile. He did not dare to predict and quickly brought them to their table.

The table was in the middle of the barkyard facing the sea. There was a big umbrella protecting them

from the sun. Surrounding them, apart from the open sea, was flowers. Roses, sunflowers, carnations, and others. Different colours and sizes. All bloomed prettily. There were even small coconut tree and fir tree not far from them.

It was so peaceful and beautiful but still failed to bring a smile on Ryn's face.

Ryn sat on the chair pulled by Jeremy. She did not even look at her boyfriend but instead at the waiter, c.o.c.king an eyebrow silently.

"Bring the food," Jeremy told the waiter hurriedly. What was this man doing gawking at Ryn? Didn't he see the silent demand from Ryn to bring the food? Must he be told everything before he did his job? Jeremy scolded in his heart but when he looked at Ryn, he was smiling charmingly.

"Don't be angry, love. The food here is delicious. I've read so many good reviews about the food," he assured Ryn. He reached for her hands and grasped them gently. "Don't you think it's wasteful to be angry? Why don't you look around the place? Isn't this place pretty? We can even see the waves in the sea."

She narrowed her eyes. She did not have the mood to enjoy the scenery. Her body was getting more uncomfortable. She felt like puking but there was nothing to throw out.

Just like the waiter said, the food was ready. Less than five minutes, two waiters came bringing their food. Soon enough, the table was filled with variety of food from savoury to sweet. They even have selection for drinks; coffee, milk and orange juice.

Ryn finally smiled.
