Ryn stretched her arms tiredly as she walked back into the changing room with the other female model. Finally, after hours of shooting, they were done. Even for someone who always passed on the first take like Ryn had to spend long hours before the director was satisfied with the shoot.
The door was lock and both women took off the clothes without another word. They were used to changing clothes backstage without a private individual room to do it.
Besides, the male models were not there. They let the girls changed first while they went to chat with each other.
Once they changed into their outfit, the girls went out to give the space for the other two.
Harry quickly approached Ryn when he saw her heading to the exit.
She already took off the hair clip she wore for the shooting before she changed her clothes. For the make-up, she would clean them at home. She was beyond exhausted and just thought of going home to sleep. She did not even think she had more energy to practice her singing tonight.
Ergh... thinking about the songs gave her a headache. Why didn't Jeremy inform her earlier so she could prepare? They only had a few more days before The Day and he expected her to give her best during the wedding?
"Ryn."
Her thought paused when she heard his voice. She looked at him with a normal smile. "Yes, Harry?"
"It's already late and I know you're tired," he spoke slowly, carefully. Mei Li went outside to answer a call so he took the chance to ask her first so their manager could not say no to his request.
"I want to treat you and Mei Li to dinner. You don't have to cook at home," he requested.
She looked at the time and frowned.
"I already booked a table for us," he added quickly. He was not lying. While waiting for them just now, he took the chance to book a table for three. He did not exclude Mei Li because this manager would be his helper without Mei Li realized it to coax Ryn to have dinner with him.
Ryn glanced to her left, gesturing Mei Li to approach them.
"Hey, I just got a call from Dove," Mei Li said excitedly. Her eyes looked at Ryn.
"You know I can't take a new job," Ryn said with a frown. Once the wedding was done, Mika asked her to join their honeymoon. The whole family would go... plus her. This would be a bit weird but Mika insisted. Even Jason chirped in to coax her to change her mind.
Hence, she found herself has to free her calendar for a few more weeks.
"Oh..." Mei Li's smile dropped. She forgot about that. Hmm... she needed to get back to the person in charge and suggested another model for it. The audition would be a week from now so there was still plenty of time to prepare.
"Anyway, Harry invited us to have dinner together. His treat," Ryn pointed at Harry who was standing beside them, watching anxiously.
Ryn and she took her car, following behind Harry. She chuckled to see the model was already asleep once she entered the car.
"Damn, he's rich," Mei Li commented underneath her breath once they arrived. She should not be shocked to see his choice. He was after all from a super-rich family and even in the contract, it stated that he could choose what kind of job he wanted. Of course, as he was still a new model, Mei Li made sure he got enough training and experience.
Harry locked the car and went to the woman. He smiled seeing Mei Li waking Ryn up. Trust Ryn to just sleep whenever she could.
He told the waiter his name and let the man led them to a table. The same waiter then handed them each a menu.
Harry watched as Ryn read the menu carefully but sleepily. Ryn was still sleepy but she also wanted to eat. The long hour of working has digested all the food she ate earlier.
The waiter at first was smiling politely as he jotted down their order. However, the smile started to quiver as one of the females kept ordering more food. He gulped and stole a look at the other two but they were acting like it was normal.
The waiter told himself that the woman was ordering for the three of them, but, once she was done, another woman started to order what she wanted. And then, the man ordered.
The waiter gulped but managed to keep his professional smile. He gave them a nod and went to hand the order to the kitchen. He was still a bit shocked and too much to be exactly to share it with his colleagues. He just froze but his eyes kept blinking.
Mei Li did not look around even though she wanted to. Her phone kept ringing with messages. She was kept busy replying to messages. Luckily none of them called her to discuss jobs.
Ryn looked at her blinking phone and sighed. Without looking at the name, she knew who was it. Couldn't he give her some time to breathe?
Harry watched at the expression on her face and his heart almost stopped beating. His hands gripped underneath the table but he managed to control his smile.
Why couldn't that man leave her alone? his heart muttered. He wished that the man could just disappear so Ryn would not be disturbed by that man ever again.
His eyes gleamed once but none of them noticed it. He closed back his eyes and took a deep breath to calm down.
"Excuse me," Ryn finally stood up and went to another side to answer the call. Jeremy would not give up calling until she answered it.
"Hello."
"Ryn, my love, where are you?" he asked worriedly.
"I'm having dinner with them. Why?"
"I'm at the studio and it's empty," he said sadly. He thought he wanted to give her a surprise and then bring her to a candlelight dinner. In the end, he was the one who received the surprise.
"You should tell me first you want to pick me up, " she pointed out dryly. She was too hungry to coax him and kept thinking of ending the call quickly so she could go back to the table to have her dinner.
"Which restaurant you are in right now? I'll go to you?" he did not give up. He wanted to go to her. After dinner, he would lure her to return to his place. It did not feel good when he could not sleep cuddling with her the whole night.
"I don't want to trouble you. Besides, Mei Li will send me home once we're done," Ryn replied. Her eyes kept glancing toward the table, a bit worried when she saw it was still empty. Where is the food?
"My love, why do I feel like you're avoiding me? Have I done something wrong... again?" he asked in hurt. Why did he feel like their relationship was not getting closer but further? So, shouldn't that free time be allocated to him as her boyfriend as well?

"You did nothing wrong. I am with the others having dinner. Do you need to join us?" she asked coldly. She had no mood to accommodate his childish behavior. She was too hungry to care about his feeling.
