The next day...

Ryn woke up with a headache. She glanced at the ringing phone and scowled but did not make a move yet. She wanted to continue her sleep but remembered that she had to unpack her things so she could finally get rid of all the boxes.

So many things to do but her head was driving her crazy!

She finally reached for her phone and disabled the alarm. Then, she threw it aside, watching it jumping up and down on the bed before it stopped. She sighed.

"Time to get up," she told herself as she patted her cheeks a few times to wake up. The headache was still there, refused to leave.

While rubbing her head unhappily, she went to grab a towel and headed to the bathroom. But instead of going into the bathroom, she changed the direction and went to open the door, thinking she should drink some water first. Maybe a panadol or two could make the pain in her head go away.

She was just pouring the water into a glass when she noticed another presence. She pulled her hand and the pouring water stopped. She turned to look at the person. Her brows lifted up when she realized who was it.

"J?" Why would he be here? It was quite early in the morning, only like 8.30 am. And she did not even remember opening the door for her.

Or did he actually remember what the password for her door was?

"Good morning. You're already up?" she asked without thinking. After a second, she shook her head and corrected herself, "You're not going to work?"

Shouldn't he be on the way to work?

"I will," he said shortly. He stepped closer to the cabinet and took the glass of water she was filling and drank the water.

She took another glass to fill with water. She did not scold him for 'stealing' her drink. She was too thirsty to do that. Once she was done drinking the whole glass, she leaned her back against the counter and looked at him questioningly. Why was he here?

"You locked me out," he complained.

"I've helped to arrange your closet but you locked me out," he complained bitterly.

"Ah..." Ryn was speechless. She did that? Wait... why was he arranging her things? Didn't he go home after sending her home?

She walked calmly to the closet to check. Was he telling the truth?

Her eyes widened at the sight of the folded boxes neatly arranged at the door. The room was no longer littered with unopened boxes but clean. Even the boxes contained accessories were no longer there.

The empty wardrobe was full of clothes, arranged from type and colour.

She pulled a drawer at the top of the island counter and found it full of hats arranged neatly and again, according to the type and colour. She pushed it back to its original place and turned to look at Jeremy who was leaning against the closed door, crossing his arms grumpily.

Who has the mood to go to work when the girlfriend locked him out of the bedroom?

"Err... thank you?" she gave him a sheepish smile. She did not expect him to be done in just a few hours. Even she thought she would take more than two days to finish the clothes... as she would squeeze in some times for a short nap and meals too. But this boyfriend of hers actually spent less than a day to finish everything.

Such a brilliant man.

She stepped forward and started to hold his hands. "Thank you, Jeremy."

"That's all?" the frown deepened. He was unsatisfied with this kind of response from her. Just a thank you after locking him out? Thank you?

Her lips twitched. Seeing a man as successful as him acting all childish and grumpy. It did not match his identity at all. Besides, she did tell him to go home last night. She did not think she did anything wrong at all.

Without another word, she leaned forward until her head rested against his broad c.h.e.s.t and her arms around his waist. "I'm sorry?"

She knew those words were what he has been waiting for and even though she did not find she was on the wrong side, in order to soothe his hurt feeling, she would say those words, "I'm sorry for locking the door last night."

His hurt feeling soothed when he heard her apology. He lowered his head to drop a kiss on top of her head, telling her that she was forgiven silently.

She smiled against his c.h.e.s.t. She knew just an apology could make him feel better. Even when she did not mean it at all.

As long as he was no longer giving her that childish attitude.

Thank God.

The day was too early for her to spend coaxing him. And she hasn't brushed her teeth yet!

Once she thought the hugging was enough, she tried to be separated from him but he refused. In fact, he tightened the hug and pressed her tighter.

"I don't even manage to kiss you goodnight," he complained.

Wait... what? He hasn't had enough of coaxing and hugging?

She sighed heavily. It seemed like she would have a long day ahead of her.

"I need to go to the bathroom," she told him after a few seconds. She really needed to visit the bathroom now. She did not even go there once she woke up as she needed to drink first. And she thought she could go to the bathroom after she drank but this happened.

He looked at her suspiciously but later he sighed and let her go. Instead of waiting there, he followed her to the bathroom.

"I'm going in... alone," she said as she turned around and stared at him fearlessly. Yes, she had to coax him after 'hurting' his feeling but there should be an end to it. She did not think her mistake was that serious until she had to coax him every single second.

He sighed. He allowed her into the bathroom alone and waited outside. He had no plan to 'release' her until he was truly satisfied.

She actually had a quick shower just to wake up. She washed her face vigorously, busily thinking what should she do to make him leave. She really did not have the energy to entertain him.

He was still there when she finally got out of the bathroom. She hid a sigh and pushed a smile on her face. "You're still here?"

He c.o.c.ked an eyebrow silently.

Ryn sighed. "Do we really need to do this?"

He kept quiet.

She walked to the kitchen with him following behind. Without another word, she opened the refrigerator and took out four eggs with two hands. She washed them quickly in the sink and cracked them into a bowl. Then, she opened the refrigerator again to take out sausages. She used a knife to separate five sausages from the packet and put the rest back into the refrigerator. Although she knew he was watching her every move, she kept moving to prepare breakfast for both of them.

He crossed his arms and watched silently as she got busy in the kitchen. She seemed to be ignoring him right now and he did not like it. He uncrossed his arms and stepped forward, planning to talk about this matter.

"Go and fresh yourself. Call the house to send you your work clothes," Ryn suddenly spoke. She glanced at him for several seconds to indicate she was talking to him before turning back to focus on her cooking. She turned the knob to light two stoves so she could cook both eggs and the sausages at the same time. The scrambled egg was quick and easy and in just seconds she divided the hot and silky scrambled egg into two plates.

He paused from his walk and looked at her in disbelief. Did she just kick him out again? This time from the kitchen?

She did not realize how her words hurt his fragile heart again. She was busy taking out the coffee machine so she could brew some coffees for them. She plugged it into the socket outlet and scooped some coffee into the coffee filter. And then, using the pot, she poured the water into the water compartment and started the machine. Instead of using the popular espresso machine or coffee machine that uses coffee capsules, she used the plain drip coffee machine. She did not think she would follow the trend of adding milk froth or whatever soon so this kind of coffee machine was enough for her. She could add milk or sugar later and Jeremy also prefered his coffee black.

She let the machine did its work and turned back her attention to the sizzling sausages. Once they were done, she quickly turned off the fire and transferred them to the plates. She turned around with both plates in her hands and saw him.

"You've taken your shower?" she asked dumbly even though she had the feeling that he did not leave at all during the time she was preparing for their breakfast.
