Ryn was still taken aback by her best friend's unexpected cheerful mood when she answered the call. She thought when Mika finally answered the call, she would receive cries and accusations and she was prepared herself for it.

But this... this cheerful Mika?

And after she ignored Mika's several calls and did not even call Mika back quickly when she noticed the miscalls?

She usually has to spend more than an hour or two just to coax Mika to forgive her. But right now....?

"Is that little Catheryn? Give me the phone."

Suddenly Ryn heard a quite familiar voice and her heart pounded hard. Uh oh...

Had the episode of that reality show being showed yet? Oh no... what should she do?

"Little Catheryn?"

"Erm... yes, Dowager... I mean, Grandmother Long?" Ryn asked politely but still weakly. She was hoping that the Dowager was in a happy mood so she would not receive any nag.

"I've seen your episode," the Dowager started.

Mika already focussed on her fiance, not realizing that her best friend on the other side was hoping for her to take back the phone and kept it away from both her mother and grandmother.

"You... do you... do you like it?" Ryn asked in a small voice. She was scared of receiving a scold from the elder woman, even though she was being herself but she realized and admitted that her kind of normal life was not everyone's cup of tea.  Especially in Dowager's eyes, her refusal of eating vegetables always made the elder woman so angry. She just could not understand why Ryn refused to eat vegetables.

Vegetables are good for health. Every type of vegetable has its own benefit for health and for beauty too but little Catheryn refused with such stubbornness it felt like she was forced to eat grenade.

"Like it? Watching you pretending to eat vegetables?"

Ryn grimaced when she heard a very familiar sound of cane thumping to the floor. And it was not even once but thrice. Uh oh... the Dowager was not pleased when she learned about the trick she made in order to avoid eating those hateful things.

"I don't understand why you need to use tricks to avoid eating vegetables. You do know how good vegetables are for your health. I bet you even have constipation," the Dowager accused.

Ryn was so shocked she forgot how to breathe. Did Dowager said she had that just because she refused to eat vegetables? How could the elder woman even have that thought about her? Had the elder woman has so much time until she kept thinking about others?

But she was taught by her mother and father not to be rude so she kept quiet as the Dowager spoke out all her dissatisfaction about what she found unacceptable during Ryn's episode.

It was just about her using a trick not eating vegetables but the elder woman actually spent almost an hour nagging over it. Silently Ryn wondered how long Mika's battery could last. Would it die first or would the Dowager stop before the battery ran out of juice?

"Have your parents commented about this? the Dowager asked with a ċȯċk of an eyebrow. She knew how Ryn's parents were all about eating green and avoid eating anything which used to have life. For sure the parents, especially the mother would scold Ryn for ignoring the vegetables and kept eating meat. And my God, how many steaks does the girl need to eat in one seating? The Dowager could not believe it at first until she and her daughter-in-law had to watch twice just to ensure that they got the amount right. She knew that Ryn's appetite was bigger than any normal woman but to eat that much in one seating? And steak after steak after steak for the whole day?

The Dowager gad no doubt the girl did not like when she needed to use the toilet.

Ryn took a deep breath to calm herself. She needed to stay calm. Stay calm. The Dowager is an elderly woman and most importantly she is Jeremy and Mika's grandmother. Ryn must not go against her upbringing and replied back sarcastically like she desperately wanted to do now.

Stay calm, Ryn, stay calm.

"Later I will tell the driver to bring all the tonic and vitamins to your house and I don't want you to skip or throw any of them," the Dowager warned as her nag came to an end after another half an hour.

Ryn, who was already lying limply on the floor, just murmured "Don't worry, Grandma Long," but had no idea what she just agreed to. She was too exhausted after the long hour of nagging. Silently she wondered what Mika was doing. Was she still there with her grandmother or had she gone somewhere else?

Where were they by the way for Grandmother Long to be able to nag for such long hours?

Were they at home? Or were they at another place?

Ryn could no longer focus on the conversation. Her mind was wandering all over the place. She even scratched her itching nose and her arms while listening to the nag.

"Ryn~" Mika cried happily once the phone was returned to her and she connected it to the power bank Jason asked his ȧssistant to bring. The Dowager, once she was done pointing out Ryn's mistake and persuaded her to change her life to be a better person. And that was to eat her green as a good kid should do.

"Why didn't you keep them from watching the episode?" Ryn asked sulkily.

"How do I know they would lock themselves in the theatre room just to watch your episode?" Mika shrugged innocently. She did not feel like it was her fault. She could not control what her parents and grandmother could do. She was the youngest and the youngest has no power in the house.

Even it was someone's fault and Ryn wanted to point a finger, Mika decided that it was Jeremy's fault. Her brother remembered that the camera was filming them so he should make sure Ryn did not do anything that would bring wrath from the elders.

Yes, it was Jeremy's fault. Nother anyone else but Jeremy.

Ryn sighed heavily as she rubbed her temple. She has already pressed the loudspeaker as she needed to recharge the phone in order to talk with Mika.

"Never mind," she found it would just waste her time if she wanted to blame anyone. Well, of course, as she realized it too late, the blame should go to her. She was the one using tricks to avoid eating vegetables that she forgot the cameras were still filming her. She should behave herself. She should control herself when she was on the camera. She should not just let it free and be herself just because the concept of the program was a day of a life of a celebrity. And when did she become a celebrity? She had no idea what was with her that met the criteria for the program.

As she mentioned earlier, it would just waste her time if she wanted to blame it on anyone. And what was the point of looking for a person to be blamed? It would not change the fact that she used trickery to avoid eating vegetables. And the whole country, well, those who watched the episode now knew how she used tricks to keep from eating that disgusting food. Yes, she admitted that it was good for health and beauty but she hated them with everything she had.

Should she regret it? Yes and no. Yes because it showed a bad example to those kids who watched the episode. Yes, for she did not have to eat vegetables that day.

Sigh...

"Remember that tomorrow I will pick you up for the final fitting," Mika reminded. She was planning to do the whole set of fitting tomorrow for her only bridesmaid, which is Ryn.

The dresses, jewelry, make-up, hairstyle, heels as well as the bouquet she would use. Of course, it was just a fake bouquet she asked the florist to prepare earlier. An exact replica of the real one. Err... no... it was not a fake. Mika quickly corrected her thought. She asked the florist to create the same bouquet that she and Ryn would use during the wedding and sent them tomorrow for her to check everything before the real wedding day. She needed to make sure everything matched with each other and even if they needed to change, they still had the time.

"Yes, yes, I remember," Ryn mumbled. Mika has been reminding her several times about the fitting. It made her think of the preparation before a real show with the full rehearsal before the show.

"You also remember that you have to plan for my hen party, don't you? I don't want to have my hen party after the wedding," Mika reminded.

"Ah..." The hen party. Ryn had forgotten that part. She was too busy with her work, just to finish everything so she could take a short break for Mika's wedding. She quickly checked the date and counted silently in her head.

"Ryn, you haven't forgotten about my hen party, have you?" Mika asked with a frown.

"Of course I remember and I have already planned something good for you," Ryn lied without thinking. But she now could not wait to end the call so she could check what she could do in such a short time.

Oh no....
