Ryn was just done with her cooking when she heard the door being opened. She wiped her hands with a hand towel and walked to the front to see Jeremy just took off his shoes.

She smiled as she approached him.

"You're back," she commented and let him pulled her into his arms and rewarded him with a kiss.

One kiss was not enough for him. They spent several minutes kissing at the door.

"Don't you find me smelly? I must smell oily right now," she asked, lifting her head slightly to look at his face.

"Hmm.... what are you cooking? Smell delicious," he asked as he hugged her tightly, tiredly. All his fatique went away once he had her in his arms and her smell filled him. She smelled so good. So delicious. He let out a satisfied sigh.

If only he could eat her...

"Chicken stew, fried vegetables, omelet, fried anchovies and... I reheat two dishes too," Ryn replied.

"You don't have to cook too much for lunch. Three side dishes are enough for us," Jeremy said and tightened the embrace. He did not want her to be tired. Maybe next time he just brings her to the mansion or ask the maids to send the food here.

"I was bored," Ryn shrugged. She walked with him to the kitchen and watched him watching his hands before took a bottle of water from the refrigerator.

"Let me help you." He took the tray from her and brought it to the dining table. On the table, Ryn already arranged the other side dishes. Only the stew and drinks were not there yet. As it was the main dish, Jeremy put the bowl in the center.

Ryn, on the other hand, started to make the drink. As it was for lunch, she did not take out the wine bottle from the wine chiller. Instead, she made a pot of hot tea for them. When she wanted to bring it to tha table, again Jeremy took it from her. He carried the pot and walked happily to the dining area.

"Do you have a meeting later?" Ryn asked as she scooped the stew into two smaller bowls. She gave one to him and another one for herself.

"I simmered this for more than 2 hours," she told him as she watched him spooned the stew.

"You must be tired. Next time either we order or you teach Mika to do it. She does need to learn how to cook," Jeremy said before he tasted the stew. "Delicious."

She smiled. She did not comment about his suggestion to order or ask Mika to do it. She pretended not to hear a word of his. He was just being childish, like usual.

"Mei Li came today," she told him suddenly.

"Is she trying to persuade you to accept more jobs?" He asked with a frown.

"Sort of," she admitted. She stirred her stew slowly as she gathered her thought. How to break the news?

"Ryn," he gave her a tired look. Why would she accept a job when she already promised that she would reject all offers she receives and concentrate of Mika's wedding. He even planned to pull her away from everyone to have a short vacation somewhere else and woo her without anyone's interruptions.

"That show asked me again," she decided it was better to just being plain about it and just said it without beating any bush. She lifted her head and looked at him. "I accepted."

"Ryn."

"I've told Mika that I don't want any filming during the wedding and the trip. I don't think they would not respect my request."

"Are you sure about this? I thought you regretted joining the show?" He asked with a frown.

"I did say that," she admitted. "I thought I didn't do well at the studio and regretted it."

"Then?"

"I thought my episode was boring but it seems like people like watching me. I don't know why but this fascinating of me actually increases my value. They actually increased my pay," Ryn shrugged, "I'm not stupid to reject easy money."

"Why are you being materialistic all of a sudden? Agree because of the payment?" He asked.

"You do know I need to buy a car," she pointed out.

"I can pay it if you don't have enough money," he said without thinking.

"J."

"Hmm?"

She gave him a look but he was clueless of why she looked at him that way. She shook her head with a sigh, "Never mind."

It was time for him to frown but she didn't add more to explain. She felt it was just a waste of time trying to explain when he was in his 'young master' mode.

He watched her putting all her attention on the food, no longer has the mood to speak, and smiled. He did not mind at all when she ignored him. As long as she did not ignore him because of another man.

The stew was half left when they were done with their lunch. Ryn simply put it into a food container and into the refrigerator. They would have this for dinner as well so not to waste Ryn's effort of making it. She closed the refrigerator's door and turned to look at her boyfriend who carried the other dishes to the kitchen. As she did not make much for the other side dishes, there was not much left for each dish so Jeremy simply scrabbed the leftover into the bin. He put the dirty dishes into the sink before reached for the rubber gloves to wear and started to wash them without another word.

"Do you want to rest first or go back to the office?" she asked as they walked to the living room.

"What time is it now?" He asked as he looked at his watch. It was almost 2.30 pm. He ġrȯȧnėd under his breath.

"What's wrong, J?" Ryn asked when she saw his reaction.

"I need to leave. I have another meeting," Jeremy answered. He buŧŧoned back his shirt and stood up. He turned and saw her leaning lazily on the couch. "My love, you're not going to send me?"

"I'm too full," she replied with a wave of her hand.

"You're just joking, aren't you?" He asked unhappily when she made no move to follow him to the door.

"No."

"Catherine~"

She ġrȯȧnėd under her breath and accepted his hand. She let him pulled her to her feet and followed him to the door. She even helped him with his tie and coat.

"Will I see you after work?" He asked hopingly.

"I'm going back after a short nap," Ryn replied honestly. She was too full to move now and was planning to have a short nap before she called for a Grab to send her home.

"You're not going to have dinner with me?" His face crestfallened at the thought of not having her for dinner. He gave her a sad look.

"J, you're going to be late for your meeting if you don't move now," she said as she pushed him toward the door slightly.

"Promise me you'll be here when I return?" He asked, still holding her hand. He refused to leave before he received her promise.

"Fine. We'll have dinner together before you send me home," she said finally. She could sense his plan of not leaving until he received her word. She should just give in or he would be late for the meeting. She definitely did not want that. She didn't want to be accused of being the woman who ruined Jeremy's work ethic.

He smiled and gave her a kiss as a reward. He had to force himself to separate from her, breathlessly.

"I'm going to work now. You have more rest. I'll see you later," he told her before he was pushed to start to walk. He gave her a sad look before he walked to the elevator. Just as the door closing, he tried to look at her but she already closed the door with a yawn. His shoulders dropped unhappily.

Don't worry, Jeremy. Take a step at a time. Sooner or later she will accept you back with opened arms, he told himself for the thousands time. He kept repeating this reminder over and over again every time he felt hurt with the way she treat him. He wished, for the thousands time that he did not do that stupid mistake. If only he could turn back time, he knew that he would not repeat it again and their relationship would not be as awkward as this. In fact, he believed that if they did not break up that time, they would already be married and might even has a child.
