When Ryn woke up, she found him already left the house. She sat up and saw the note. She reached for it and read it slowly while yawning. Damn, how long has she been sleeping? She felt even more exhausted now.
"Thank you, J," she murmured when she learned about him already packing her bags. She put down the paper and stretched her arms, yawning loudly as she did that. Then, she walked slowly to the bathroom to fresh herself.
She really needed to stay awake now. She slept too much today.
She put on shorts and a shirt and walked to the kitchen. Jeremy put the food in the refrigerator so she only needed to reheat them back before she could eat them.
She brought them to the dining table and she even made a huge mug of coffee to eat with them. She sat on the chair and ate her food quietly. The coffee would keep her stay awake while the food would stop the grumble from her stomach.
Once she was done filling her stomach, she washed everything and then went to the washing machine. She hasn't hung all the clothes yet. She quickly hung everything and rubbed her hands happily when she was done. Then, she returned to the living room, carrying her phone. She needed to make sure Mei Li remembered that she would follow Mika on her honeymoon.
Mei Li ȧssured Ryn that she remembered. And at the same time, Mei Li reminded Ryn about the date for the third studio recording session for the show.
Ryn put down her phone after the exchange with a heavy sigh. She did try to forget about that. She did not want to remember the disaster during the recording. She had no idea why she was chosen again for the show. She was a boring person.
She switched on the television but there was nothing interesting to watch on all the channels so she switched it off back. She had nothing else to do now. Her bag has been packed by Jeremy. The clothes she washed have been hung. The dishes have been washed. The rubbish she could only throw out tomorrow morning before she left.
Sigh.
She was getting bored.
She returned to the bedroom and sat on the bed. Tomorrow would be the beginning of Mika's new life. She was excited for her best friend but she wondered, suddenly, would it change her life as well?
She had the feeling it would.
She sighed and tried to close her eyes. She needed to wake up early in the morning to eat that perishable food as well as throw the rubbish out. She did not want when she returned, her house to smell like it has been in an unflushed toilet.

It was not a surprise when she fell asleep. Despite the long hours of sleeping for the day, her body immediately went to the sleeping mode once she closed her eyes and thought about sleeping.
"Hello?" her hoarse voice greeted him sleepily.
"Good morning, love. Wake up. You need to go to the mansion today," he informed cheerfully.
Ryn glanced at the time and frowned, "It's still early."
"Have breakfast with us. Your bags are already at the mansion with the others."
"It's still early," she repeated, yawning.
"Yes, I know. But we are all waiting for you," he coaxed gently.
She sighed, rubbing her temple tiredly. She was still trying to wake up completely. And he told her she needed to go to the mansion? Meeting the Dowager?
"Can I just go straight to the airport?" she asked. She thought she could steal a little bit of time to sleep before she prepared herself for the trip.
"My love, do you want me to pick you up?" he asked. His mind was busy planning to call the driver to pick him up and send him to Ryn's house. From there, he would drive her car and bring her to the mansion. It was the perfect plan if she was still too sleepy to drive on her own.
"Hmm..." was her answer.
Jeremy took that as an agreement and hung up the phone. He quickly called the family's driver and gave his order. And then, he went to the bathroom to have a quick shower. He called her first once he woke up and now, he would go to her.
He made sure all the dirty dishes has been washed while waiting for the driver. He also made sure all the electrical and electronic gadgets to be switched off especially in his little studio.
He sat on the couch and crossed his legs, and waited. He did not have to wait long when he received the message that the driver was waiting downstairs. He stood up and brought his bag downstairs. He was not worried about the perishable food in the refrigerator would go bad. During the trip, the maids from the mansion would come to remove that perishable food that was not eaten before the due date.
The driver quickly took the bag from him and put it into the bonnet. Then, he opened the door for Jeremy.
Jeremy sat at the back and put on the seatbelt. He closed his eyes, planning to catch a few winks while on the way to Ryn's place.
It did not take much time for him to reach her place. He took out his phone and called her. It didn't take long for her to answer it but what made him chuckle was her voice. It was still heavy with sleepiness. Has she been sleeping after their conversation just now?
He waited at the gate and watched as she, still in the shorts and a shirt, walked toward him slowly while rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"Hey, you," he called gently.
"Hey, you," she replied back as she unlocked the gate.
"Are you ready?" he asked after the kiss.
She rolled her eyes at him and the adorable way of her rolling her eyes made him chuckle again. He wrapped his arm around her as they walked into the house.
"Go wash," he told her. He pushed her gently to the bathroom and then he went to the bed. It was still unmade. He immediately made the bed without even thinking. Once he was done, he went to the kitchen to pour a glass of water.
She did not take much time for a quick shower. She changed into a pair of jeans and a shirt before going to look for Jeremy. She found her boyfriend drinking in the kitchen.
"Are you ready?" he asked when he noticed her. He turned to pour a glass of water for her and handed the glass to her.
"Hmm..." she sipped her drink slowly.
He smiled. His hand reached out to push the long hair from covering her face.
"Once you're ready, let's go."
She handed the glass to him and returned to the wardrobe to get a cap. Then, she went to him, holding her sling bag. For the trip, she did not bring her usual backpack but a sling bag.
"Let's go," she said.
Both of them went to the front. She handed the car key to him and went to lock the door. He went straight to open the gate before he started the engine.
She took the shotgun while he sat on the driver's seat. He reversed the car and stopped. She went out to lock the gate.
"The driver sent you just now?" she asked as he drove the car.
"Hmm..." he nodded. He drove the car carefully, expertly weaving left and right to avoid the traffic.
They did not speak more. He played music to accompany them. He knew she would steal the time to sleep. She did not look fresh enough when they left just now.
When they reached the mansion, Ryn saw the family cars were already gathering in front while the butler was busy directing the maids to arrange the luggage.
Ryn pursed her lips and looked at Jeremy. Jeremy just smiled. He stopped beside the other cars.
"Are you ready?" he asked once he stopped the car.
"I bet Mika hasn't wakened up yet," she pointed out unhappily. Their flight was in the evening. It was too early for them to go to the airport.
"Your bet is right," Jeremy said with a chuckle.
"Then, why do I have to wake up so early?" Ryn questioned under her breath.
"Because I want to have breakfast with you," he replied before he opened the door.
"Let's go."
Although she was still unhappy, she pasted a small smile on her face as she got out of the car.
"Good morning, young master, young mistress," everyone stopped to greet the couple.
"Good morning, everyone," Jeremy and Ryn greeted them back.
The butler quickly approached them and informed them that the others, except for Mika, were having breakfast in the dining room.
"Let's go have our breakfast," Jeremy took Ryn's hand and walked into the mansion.
Ryn took a deep breath and prepared herself to face the elders of Long. She prepared herself to listen to the nag especially from the Dowager.. It would not be a peaceful breakfast.
