Chapter 573: Drinking so much

It took her about five minutes to connect back the wire for the battery in the car. Before she left for her jobs outside the country, she actually dislocated the wire for the battery to avoid her car from being unable to start. She learned about it from Jeremy and she used the knowledge fully. And because of it, she even bought spanners and screwdrivers, and even hammer just in case she needed to do something in the house or in the car.
The car started and she adjusted the temperature and even the radio channel. Then, she drove the car out of the area, heading toward the university. Actually, this would be the first time she drove her car to the university. She did not have time to drive the car when her schedule was so full with work and she was out of the country most of the time.
Despite it being very rare for her to drive, she was not nervous at all. In her mind, she just remembered the speed limit and to ensure she followed it perfectly. She tried to forget the bad experience she had the first time she tried driving and told herself again and again that everything was in the past and she has passed the licence already. She was no longer afraid of driving.
She parked the car right in front of the business department's building and grabbed her bag. She adjusted her cap before she got out of the car. She walked into the building calmly.
Some of the students recognized her. A small amount of them went to meet her and asked for permission to take photos together. She did not mind at all. But it ended up with her taking almost half an hour just to reach the counter.
She explained her reason to come here and waited for a while before she received the letter. She thanked the woman and headed back to her car, only to bump into Harry and his friends.
"Catherine? Hi," one of his friends greeted cheerfully.
"Hello, everyone," she greeted them back.
"I saw your episode," another one said as he scratched his nape sheepishly. His cheeks were even reddened as he tried not to show how nervous he was.
"Ah... thank you," Ryn did not know how to react to that and only could thank him in return. It was weird, to be honest. Maybe because she took herself as someone responsible to show the perfect and best side of the product and never thought of herself as a celebrity. Even when some of the students asked to take photo with her, she obliged their request even though she felt so weird and unused.
"Why are you here? I thought you're still in Europe." Harry asked after he watched his friends took turn taking picture with Ryn. Yes, instead of taking a group photo, they wanted to have an individul photo with her. He did not join them because it would look weird when they shared the same manager.
"Just got back. Finally. I'm taking my practical letter," Ryn explained. She knew it was better to inform him before he thought she would still in the campus studying in between her modelling gigs.
"Practical? You're going to do your practical like us? Aren't you still in second year?" before Harry could express his shock, his friend did it first. All of them knew that Ryn was their junior. To hear that she was going to do her practical like them... it was a surprise to all of them.
"I... have finished all the necessary courses," Ryn replied slowly. "Anyway, I don't want to hold you from your business. Later if we have time, I'll treat you all for coffee at the cafe."
The others did not feel hurt when she suddenly said her goodbye. They already have their photo and even posted it immediately in their media social account and as the time ticked away, their post received likes and comments like crazy from their circle as well from their cousins.
Harry mumbled his goodbye and watched her walking to the exit. He let out a heavy sigh.
He was still unsatisfied with this. He still could not accept the fact that they could only become colleagues, not lovers. What was lack in him that the man has? In term of handsomeness, family background and even education level, he did not think he was any less than that man. In fact, his advantage against that man was his age. His age was closer to Ryn than that man.
So why didn't Ryn choose him?
"Harry, what are you dreaming about? Let's go," his friends laughed when they realized he was standing there like a statue when they already walked toward the office. Just like Ryn, they were going to get the letter to start their practical training.
Harry snapped back and quickly joined his friends, rubbing his nape sheepishly. He ignored the tease from them, trying not to get too frustrated.
As long as they haven't gotten married yet, he still has a chance to win her heart, he believed.
Ryn, on the other hand, dropped her bag and cap on the passenger seat before she started the engine. She took a few gulps of water she brought along to quench her thirst before she drove the car carefully toward her home.
She did not go to the company because she knew he was not there. Besides, she was going to follow him during the tour and would not be in the company. She did not know what plan he had for her hence she did not want the others to know about it yet. Even the clerk at the administration thought she would do the practical training like other students, working 9 to 5 in a company.
She put the letter beneath her car key in the bowl and let out a sigh as she walked straight into the kitchen to have a glass of water. Today was so hot that she even finished the whole 1 litre of water on her way back. And she was still thirsty.
After two glasses of water, she was finally done with all the drinking and went into her bedroom. So tired.
However, not five minutes she was lying on the bed, her eyes popped open and with a loud groan, she made a dash to the bathroom.
Sigh. When she drank a lot, she peed a lot.. That was the clear result from drinking so much water.
