Ryn watched as the manager from Phoenix Corp squirmed uncomfortably in front of Jeremy's questions. Silently she told herself no wonder the managers and executives in the company turned into scared mice in front of Jeremy.
He was quite frightening when he was serious. She thought he was only serious when he taught the children about the songs but to frighten ȧduŀts until they whimpered weakly... Well... That was quite an eye-opener.
Ryn cleared her throat and tried to stay focused on the things they were discussing but the sight of the paled woman really distracted her. She wished Jeremy could lower down just a notch so that no one could end up needing to spend the time at the emergency. Looking at the way the representatives were reacting, Ryn felt like she would need to call 999 pretty soon.
"If this is how you want to do the project, do you think my company will invest in your project?" Jeremy ċȯċked an eyebrow. "You can't even explain the risque for the project. There will always be a risque in any project but you can't answer my question. Do you come here thinking the person in front of you is just a singer?"
Jeremy was so furious, he almost slammed his hands on the table. He knew since the moment he decided to join the business world, a lot of people took him for granted, thinking he was just a wannabe businessman and even thought that he did not know anything just because he was a singer. Have they forgotten his background? His family?
His temper diminished just a bit when her soft hand held him. He realized that he almost scared her with his temper. He quickly took a deep breath to calm down but the eyes were still starting at the scared manager.
To think that the woman wore such skimpy clothes to meet him... Luckily he brought Ryn along with him.

The woman tried to use her womanly allure to melt him but she forgot the existence of Ryn beside Jeremy. Or maybe she thought Ryn was just an insignificant ȧssistant and has no power at all. Ryn could really blend into the background if she had the mind to until those who looked at her immediately dismissed her appearance.
"That was... Interesting..." Ryn mumbled as she and Jeremy entered the lift. In the end, another manager came in and tried to save the day. Even the boss came in and tried to slow talk with Jeremy. The female manager ended up having to wait outside the meeting room when everyone saw that Jeremy could no longer look at her. Lastly, Jeremy decided to give them another two days to redo the proposal and the presentation would be in the main company as Jeremy no longer wanted to come here again. He did not want to see that woman ever again, which meant that the project's manager would go to another person.
"Your first meeting and it was... bad," Jeremy grumbled unhappily. He thought he could show his suave and handsome side at her during the meeting but ended up losing his temper. He vowed if the company still sent that woman to represent them, he would make sure the company lose so much that it has to close down.
"At least it opens my eyes what kind of presentation I have to avoid," Ryn shrugged. She did not write much in her book because there was almost nothing to write about. She only jotted down the reason why Jeremy rejected the proposal. And she also included what Jeremy expected for the new proposal to be and the name of the female that Jeremy just blacklisted.
"We'll go to check the site first before we go back to the office," he told her as the elevator brought them downstairs to the basement.
"Hmm..."
"If you're already hungry, we can go back to that restaurant to have a meal," he suggested.
"No need to stop anywhere. I'm not hungry yet," Ryn replied. She already nibbled the refreshment the company provided during the meeting and her stomach could not accept more food.
He rubbed her back gently before they walked out together when the elevator's door opened. He unlocked the door and opened the door for her.
"The site visit... Do I need to change my shoes?" Ryn asked with a frown at him when he sat on the driver's seat.
He glanced at her feet, at the six inches heels she wore. He liked that particular heels. There was no stone or diamond on them, just a plain leather shoes but as they were actually 3 inches, her height was just nice beside him.
Easy for him to kiss her lips once she was no longer care about he would ruin her bun. Surely she would no longer care about the wrinkle after the site visit?
He drove the car smoothly toward a construction site. He parked it at the empty space and gave a serious nod at the two men who were waiting for them. He handed one hard cap to Ryn before wearing one himself. Then, he followed the men with Ryn beside him, listening to the explanation of the men about the project. They did not go upstairs but just checked what was done and what would be done in a month or two. Jeremy asked quite a lot of questions regarding the project, especially whether it could complete according to the time. The men reassured him everything was going according to the plan and it would complete either before or on the date.
Jeremy nodded approvingly and gave a short speech to praise the workers and also to give them encouragement. Then, he helped Ryn into the car before he drove the car away, this time, instead of heading straight to the office, he brought her to a restaurant to have lunch.
They spent quite a long of time at the site and with the hot weather, it would be reasonableble for his love to be thirsty and hungry.
He did not book beforehand. Hence, he asked the waiter if they could sit at the corner of the restaurant so they could have their privacy.
Ryn handed the menu back once she ordered what she wanted. She then took out her phone and checked if she missed any message or call.
There was only a message from Mei Li. Her manager was reminding her about the job tomorrow. The tour would start next week so she still has time to squeeze in some jobs before she started her practical training officially.
Ryn gave her confirmation and reminded Mika what time she wanted Mika to pick her up. Although she already has a car, for the weeks she was squeezing jobs before the training, she preferred to have Mei Li to accompany her.
The health would be checked daily during the tour.
On Jeremy's part, he has told them that he would still do his business work during his free time and Ryn would help him. He reassured them that it would not affect the concert at all because he would do his business work during the day while the concert would be at night.
He knew he had to juggle everything carefully or he would be overwhelmed with everything. But he believed with Ryn by his side, everything will work out according to plan. Ryn would do her best and might even forget the fact that they were in a relationship during her working mode. And he believed, even though he would wish she would not ignore their relationship during work, she would still take care that he would not get too exhausted mentally and physically. She was a caring person and he believed in that side of her.
Their food arrived and the couple ate their food calmly. Despite Ryn having a question regarding the site visit just now, she knew it was not the appropriate time to ask. She held herself and quickly ate her pasta.
Jeremy insisted for them to have a dessert before they left. It was hot outside and what would be better than having an ice cream on such a hot day? Jeremy even helped to take a photo of her eating her ice cream for today's post on her Instagram account. He knew she hasn't posted anything yet today because she was busy taking notes or reading messages. Not once did he see her lifting her phone to take a photo.
"Can we?" he asked, asking her permission for a photo of them so he could post it in his account. He did not mind if she did not want to post it in hers but he wanted one for today.
She quickly adjusted her bowl of ice cream, checked her face using the camera apps before she posed. He smiled widely as his finger tapped for the camera to catch the moment.
One was enough because both of them were a visual couple and professionals in taking photos. He quickly posted it to his account with the caption, 'having lunch with my love' and tagged her account. He put down his phone on the table proudly and looked at her with the smile still on his handsome face.
"Just a photo and you are this happy?" she shook her head in bemused.
"Because I'm with you," he replied unashamedly.
She rolled her eyes at his words. He could be quite a flirt if he wanted to. At least now his mood was better than this morning.. She really disliked that side of him.
