Prologue part 1-

–Graduation ceremony of Reed Royal Academy-

Originally it should have been sad, saying goodbye to his friends and departing for his new journey.

However, the atmosphere was as heavy as a court hearing due to the crown prince, Jason.

“-These are the wrongdoings you’ve committed. A woman like you can’t be left in charge of the future! I hereby break my engagement with the Marquis of Windsor Pamela! Your sins are unforgivable! To ensure that no one in the future commits the same deeds as you, I hereby order you to a public execution!”

Those words definitely cut off the relationship they had so far.

However, before the people present could respond and twist the words….

The voice of a single man broke the silence.

“Yahooooo!”

A young man let out a scream full of joy.

It was Isaac, the son of the Marquis of Welrod, who was well known for his eccentricity and peculiar behaviour ever since his early childhood.

There he stood with both arms high while doing the so-called Colombian pose.

(As planned … I came here and cleared the engagement cancellation event. With this, the connection between the royal family and aristocrats will be completely broken. If the plan proceeds as expected from here, I’m sure–)

Why did he know that all this would happen?

It was because this world was the world of otome games that his sister played in the previous life.

———-

-Osamu Takahashi, 24 years old-

A normal full-time employee of an izakaya chain with two days off per week.

After failing all his job interviews, he ended up getting a job in this chain after graduating from college.

On the days when part-time workers take off without any reason he hopes that bad luck befalls them and they get killed.

He is a second grade member of society who doesn’t even have time to read novels, manga or even attend to his hobbies. All of his free time is spent resting his weary body.

Sometimes after finishing his usual shift from 9am to 7pm he feels a bit envious towards his friend who works for a trading company.

The fact that he also earns enough to be able to afford the latest brain-wave interference type VR equipment just adds to the feeling of envy.

——

Osamu’s sister entered his room.

His sister who’s in her second year of high school came into his room to use his computer even though he is sleepy after work.

It was to play a game she borrowed from her friend.

“Masami, is it a game again?”

“That’s right, It’s not like my dear Onii-chan has something that would get him in trouble if someone sees it, does he?

“Baaka~“

“I don’t have anything like that on my computer so do as you like.”

(It’s on an external hard disk so you can’t see it anyway.)

Being an ill-mannered younger sibling, she rarely considers that her actions invade her brother’s privacy.

Before falling asleep he caught a glimpse of the cover of the game his sister brought in, which made him quite worried regarding her future.

The cover was the cliched cover of otome games where a group stands and smiles with the main character being the main focus.

“… What with that Tibetan fox-like character?”

“That’s the protagonist. He’s the protagonist of the game ‘To the end of the world with you’“.

“You’re lying, this? If I were to appear in this game then I’d definitely choose that aristocratic-daughter like character. Even if the plotline leads to a bad ending I’d definitely choose that one.”

Osamu recommended the supporting character drawn on the back.

The design of that character was a bit feminine, but at least it looked much cuter than the main character.

“The theme of this game is predatory love. It’s a game where you capture and steal male characters from template characters who are popular with men.”

“Seriously! Why are you playing such a game? This makes me worried about your future… I think it’s better to play games where you polish yourself up and confess to the crown prince, right? “

Osamu worried about her sister.

Predatory love only gives rise to unhappy humans.

Although it was just a game, he didn’t want his sister to play it that much.

However, it seems that the brother’s feelings of concern over his sister’s future didn’t reciprocate with her.

“What are you saying? Everything is a competition now. Things won’t be set into motion if you don’t polish yourself up. People are working hard everyday just to live. In reality you won’t succeed in taking someone’s love away, so you have to do it in a game. “

“Wow……“

Osamu was worried about his sister’s personality, but then he realized that he had next to no romantic experience so he wasn’t one who could talk all high and mighty about such a thing.

“It’s wrong because I think it is.” Osamu couldn’t admit that.

However, he didn’t even dye his hair and his underwear were all light blue and whites so he wouldn’t be able to follow up on his argument with his sister if she said “it’s better for a man“.

Having no energy to continue that conversation he retracted back into his futon.

The music and dialogues from who was apparently the target character reached his ears.

I’m the crown prince, I won’t tolerate that attitude. …… Uh? Oh, that’s okay then. I’ll forgive you “

Are you trying to challenge me, the strongest? Huh, fine… Even though you’re a woman I won’t hold back!

Having intelligence is what separates a man from a beast. Now, which one are you?

What do you want? You’re going out of your way to get involved with someone like me huh? You’re a rather interesting person.

You don’t realize who you are facing. Okay, I’ll be serious from now on then.

“You’re smiling too much.“

Osamu involuntarily got up and did a tsukkomi.

(TL note: Okay ‘Tsukkomi’, it refers to an action played generally by comedians where they ‘butt in’ between someone’s dialogue to deliver a remark or joke.)

“If you’re going to sleep then don’t butt in anymore.“

“I can’t help it because I can hear it.”

‘If I don’t go to bed early then I won’t be able to work properly’ thinking that, Osamu covered his head with a pillow and closed his eyes.

Leaving home at noon and returning home by the first morning train.

This daily routine made him quite tired.

He was so drowsy that he could fall asleep even if someone was playing music right next to him.

However, he was a little too tired of the ikemen-voice from the game inviting him to sleep with a lullaby.

The same thing was repeated for several days after that.

He usually didn’t care much, but for some reason the game Osamu’s sister played

To the end of the world with you.

He was curious about the so-called ‘you’, so he browsed the official website.

He didn’t have time to play many games after his job so he took this quite seriously.

(Let alone a man’s point of view, this game is a shit game even from a woman’s point of view…)

The main scenario writer got selected just because he had relatives inside the company.

The main character being the primary selling point of the game just showed how amatuer the writer was.

To make the heroine’s liking become high, the prince will give unreasonable commands to the other ‘captured’ characters.

If they are unable to achieve the order then he’ll curse in front of the heroine but ultimately forgive them for their failures and raise his appeal.

A hot-blooded young man who aims to be the strongest knight and goes on challenging anyone who’s strong.

However due to his heritage, everyone around him takes extra care so that he doesn’t get hurt.

A person who has no intelligence is no different than a beast and thus has no right to live“, even though the main character proclaims this, his own grades are nowhere near the top.

His fiancé has a lot of interest in studies so he pretends like he does too.

However, the prince gets sullen when his fiancé performs better than him.

Whenever near the heroine, he lets out a meaningful laugh.

However, the prince doesn’t think about anything, he just laughs because he thought it’d seem like he’s having deep thoughts if he did that.

He thinks he is a really competent person but his grades are really low for a crown prince.

A person who thinks he isn’t doing good enough just because he isn’t serious.

The official title features ‘Go men’ including the main capture character along other capture targets belonging to the same generation as the main character.

(… Are they apologizing?)

[TL note: Here the ‘Go men’ actually signifies the 5 main capture characters; it sounds similar to ‘Gomen’ the japanese word for sorry.]

There were rumours of there also being a sixth character.

(Maybe the sixth character is just a ghost.)

Now matter how you looked at it, most of the characters would make you think “Is it worth capturing these guys?.”

Although many sub-characters could be captured, the main character’s bad writing didn’t make any sense to Osamu.

(It’s nice to be a prince and all but, to plunder the love interest of others…)

If there were no sub-scenario writers on the net then it’d be just an art book.

Just because the voice actors were good it was decided that the game would be good as well. But that opinion was held by only a minority of people.

Most of the people online said that the voice actors were just wasting their time.

Afterall, a game needed good content in the game itself.

Basically the design was to attract a women audience, but somewhere along the way it gathered a male audience as well.

The daughters being robbed of their lovers was probably the thing that attracted men.

From Osamu’s perspective, the treatment of the daughters was completely unreasonable.

It was understandable if the captured characters were being taken away from villains, but even in that scenario getting robbed of your lover would’ve been too pitiful.

The worst thing about the game was the prince’s ending–

“The scenery you can see from here is mine.”

“Yes, it’s all ours.”

“But … there are other countries beyond the horizon.”

“Huh, you’re certainly greedy. Can’t you be satisfied just by being the queen of this country? “

“I didn’t mean just what is visible to us. “

“Huh, well then. I will give you everything till the end of this world. “

This was the last exchange ――.

In the end roll, there were pictures of war, so it seemed that they started a reckless war.

But amidst that, only the regrets of the captured characters were visible.

Osamu was worried about his sister playing such a game.
