"Why!" Braedon was currently hanging upside down by his feet and his entire body was tied up. The person he was talking to was hidden in the shadows.

Braedon is a cultivator, which is someone who cultivates or grows a power inside of them. After reaching a certain point with this "power" they can achieve a breakthrough. In other words, they can level up. Currently Braedon was at level one. He was more powerful than the average human. Unfortunately among cultivators, he is at the very bottom of the ladder.

Staring at Braedon from the shadows was a single man. He stared at Braedon suspiciously, "I will give you a painless death if you just answer my question." After saying that he stepped out from the shadows to reveal his identity.

Zan Fu carefully pulled out a blade and pointed it at Braedon, "Where is he?"

~~~~~~~~~~
Braedon was currently testing out the limits of his physical capabilities. He was pushing himself to the limits, and he attempted to do thing that he could never do ever before.
If he used up all of his strength, he could jump over fifteen feet into the air. He could run over a mile without breaking a sweat. And if he really put some effort into it, he could easily run two miles in only four minutes.
Glode told him that his mental capabilities had increased as well, but he never really got a chance to test it out. The only evidence of this he received was that, he was able to read the first four pages of a random book once and remember everything word for word.
He probably could've memorized more, but he had a basic idea already. After hopping over the rooftops of a few buildings, he stopped for a second and asked Glode a few questions?
"That thing you gave me was a technique to help me achieve a breakthrough right?" Glode nodded. After returning from the abandoned area, Glode downloaded some information into Braedon's brain. It showed a strange dance that he had to practice in order to increase his body's maximum capacity for "Phoenix Breath" which was a special energy or aura that is produced when practicing "Phoenix Might".
"If my strength is separated into different realms, then what's the highest realm I can achieve currently?"
Glode, who naturally emitted a red glow, dimmed a little as he fell into thought, "You have probably guessed by now that there are other cultivators in the world. Generally their techniques reach up to the tenth realm or level, each realm being separated by minor levels and the amount of minor levels would vary depending on each technique. My technique is incomplete and can only go up to the sixth realm."
Braedon understood what Glode meant. That meant that he could only achieve level six, no matter how hard he practice. "Is there any way to complete the technique?" Glode nodded and a strange holographic image appeared suddenly, it showed Glode but he seemed bigger and a deeper shade of red. It was almost like the color of blood, compared to Glode's original reddish-orange.
"When I fell to earth, I was split into two parts. If we can find my other half, that should complete the technique." Braedon was quite surprised about the hologram Glode made, since he didn't know Glode could do that. He suddenly had the thought, "I wonder if Glode is high tech enough to play movies?" But he quickly dismissed this idea soon afterwards.
Braedon then thought of something else as well, "Maybe if we can find the other half, the rest of you memories can be unsealed."
For such a "high tech" orb, Glode wasn't the brightest...person? Object? Alien? Braedon didn't really know. All Braedon knew was that the blindingly bright sun shining in his face was excitedly dancing around at the idea, "I never even thought of that. The probability is extremely high!"
Braedon laughed while covering his eyes. After getting Glode to turn off the lights, he started to practice the dance. Glode watched him practice and gave him pointers and advice on what he was doing wrong.
While it was surprisingly tiring, considering his newfound stamina, Braedon pushed through until he completed ten sets.
"Of course it is tiring. Not only are you working out your body to strengthen it to an extent, but you are also bending the will and force of heaven itself." Glode explained diligently. Braedon creased his brow in confusion, "What do you mean I'm bending the will and force if heaven?"
Glode landed on the floor and said, "Like most cultivators, the power you gain comes from a source. That source is something called "heaven's force" the goal of every and all cultivator is to become powerful enough to rule over "heaven's force". Most people attempt to achieve that my surpassing level ten, but others have found other ways."
"What are the other ways?"
"I don't remember."
"..." Braedon continued to practice until the sun went down. At that point Glode advises him to meditate which would allow him to consolidate his current strength and regain all of the stamina he had lost.
Time passed quickly and Braedon awoke to the morning sun shining brightly in his face. He felt completely refreshed and energized. He stretched himself and looked at a clock. It was still quite early and Braedon figured that he should go out and just have a casual walk today.
Before he left, Glode told him to learn how to hide his energy. "If you don't hide it, other cultivators will know how strong you are and who knows if they will be an enemy or not."
He got the basics pretty quickly. All he had to do was imagine the energy surrounding him as a ball. Then he needed to make the baller smaller and smaller, eventually until it was skin tight created a sort of suit around him. Then he had to imagine as if his skin was absorbing the suit and just hold that image for a while.
He had to try it a few times to get it right but once he finished his energy was almost invisible.
Glode, "It's not perfect. As long as no one is paying really good attention or as long as they are not too much stronger than you, you should be find"
And with that they headed out to do what people do best, shopping. While Braedon looked around at different products, Glode looked over some information in Braedon's phone.
"This looks interesting, but why would brothers want to smash each other? Hmm, A number pad? I see, this is used for calculating equations, it must be some sort of equationator."
Glode was diligently studying up on common knowledge of the human world. Meanwhile Braedon, who had yet to buy anything, noticed someone several feet away from him. It was Zan Fu. He was sitting at a bench and drinking some water.
His eyes gazed over in Braedon's direction and Braedon waved to him. Zan Fu quickly smiled and waved him over. Braedon got there and took a seat next to his friend.
"What are you doing here?" Zan Fu was very surprised. Braedon usually slept in for a bit longer, but now he was up and looked energize.
Braedon laughed while answering, "I woke up a bit early and felt like today was a good day to go for a walk. Anyway, how about you? Do you just sit here and calmly drink water for no reason?"
Zan Fu shrugged and looked at Braedon, "Not really, but recently something big happened and a bunch of my family is visiting. I'm not sure about the details, but I heard that it could be something life changing."
Braedon didn't know much about Zan Fu's family. He had met his cousins, aunts, and uncles once, but it was only for a brief moment. He was very close with Zan Fu's parents, but he never really tried to pry into their matters.
He had heard that his family owned an incredibly wealthy company and Zan Fu was filthy rich. But Braedon found that hard to believe since he was so shrewd and cheap.
They chatted for some time and when Braedon told him a joke he laughed so hard he dropped his cup. Braedon quickly bent down and grabbed it without spilling any of its contents.
Zan Fu looked down at him in shock. "That was incredible. How did you react so fast." He smiled while saying this but Braedon felt as if there was something off about his smile.
Suddenly, Zan Fu stood up and turned towards him, "Hey, Braedon follow me for a few seconds." Braedon nodded and they started walking while talking to each other. Glode floated above and watched over them. Glode had a strange feeling, but he didn't know why.
After walking for a few minutes, Zan Fu brought Braedon into a expensive looking restaurant. Braedon worriedly said to Zan Fu that he had no money and couldn't pay for anything.
"Don't worry Braedon, my family own this place." Zan Fu said while moving to a room in the back.
Braedon stepped through the door and looked at Zan Fu questioningly, "So why did you bring me here?"
Zan Fu looked at Braedon with a blank expression. It looked as if he was just looking at a random stranger.
"You know 'Braedon', I have known HIM for a few years. In all those years, I have never seen or sense him cultivate, ever! Yet just now when you caught my cup, I very clearly sensed "heaven's force" coming from you."
The door behind Braedon closed with a loud thump and he heard the door lock.
"You did well to hide it, but you were careless and I could still sense it."
Braedon was surprised by Zan Fu's words and without even thinking about what Zan Fu meant by "sense" he immediately said, "I can explain."
Zan Fu chuckled at this, "Very impressive, you even sound as stupid as he does." Then his face twisted in anger, "But no, you can't explain.
A strange pressure started to come off of Zan Fu and Glode had something pop up in front of him.
Zan Fu
Level 3: True Warrior
Race: human
Lifespan: 800 years
Weapons and skill: unknown
Potential: genius
Braedon sensed a familiar power coming from Zan Fu and he stared at shock, "Zan Fu, you're a-"
At that moment, Zan Fu disappeared and reappeared behind Braedon and smacked him across the head, knocking him out.
Zan Fu knocked on the door a few times and two of the workers in the restaurant came in, "Tie him up and hang him here for me. I'm a bit hungry so tell me when he wakes up."
After giving out his orders, Zan Fu left the room leaving Braedon behind.
