Kendrick, who heard me, sighed and nodded as if he were relieved.

“Yes, please take care of it, Linsy.”

“Yes, don’t worry.”

I nodded.

Kendrick and Arsene stood up again not long after returning to the mansion.

The knights were waiting, with Kendrick and Arsene’s horses ready.

Just as Kendrick had said that he wouldn’t be back anytime soon, he had packed his belongings for camping.

“Take care, Arsene.”

I saw Arsene off while fiddling with the necklace hanging around his neck.

However,

‘Huh?’

There was a little crack in the necklace.

I lightly scratched the crack with my fingernail.

‘Is it a scratch?’

Fortunately, it didn’t seem like the ability was leaking, so I didn’t take the necklace back.

Arsene nodded his head lightly, then pulled me in by the back of my neck and lightly kissed my forehead.

“I’ll be right back, Linsy.”

I nodded and looked up at Arsene.

The smile on Arsene’s face caught my eye.

‘It hasn’t been long since he came back.’

It’s been less than two hours since I went to the land of Tamar, and I heard that the border has fallen, so he has to go out right away.

I was worried that Arsene might be tired.

I gently stroked Arsene’s cheek with the back of my hand.

Meanwhile, Kendrick seemed ready to get on the horse and leave.

“Arsene, let’s go.”

Kendrick beckoned.

Arsene rubbed his face against my hand, got on his horse, and told me he would be back soon.

Kendrick, Arsene, and the knights left the Yeckhart Mansion.

The remaining knights dispersed to stand guard, saying they had been ordered to strengthen security around Yeckhart and keep a strict guard inside the mansion.

“Let’s go in, Lady.”

Ethan bowed his head and said.

I glanced at Arsene’s back as he left, then quickly turned my head.

“Please guide me to where the young beastmen are.”

“Young beastmen?”

“Yes, Sir Kendrick asked me to look after the young beastmen.”

I nodded and answered.

Then Ethan nodded as if he understood.

“The young beastmen are now quarantined underground. They may be young, but they are beastmen who have lost their minds, so they are dangerous.”

Ethan took the lead.

I lifted the hem of my dress slightly and followed behind Ethan.

The place Ethan took me was the basement opposite where the holy relic was located.

“This place was used as a lodging for people a long time ago. We couldn’t leave the young beastmen in the warehouse, so we hastily renovated this place a bit.”

Ethan said.

He added that the renovation is not yet complete.

“It hasn’t been long since Kendrick came back, so things haven’t been sorted out yet.”

It seemed like there were quite a few young beastmen that Kendrick brought with him when he returned.

There was a small smell of something bad as I walked into the basement.

‘Could it be the smell of injury?’

When the injury was really bad, it would sometimes smell like this. I walked quickly out of worry.

But it was a bit strange.

“Ethan, why is it so quiet?”

Since young beastmen who had lost their minds were quarantined, it was only normal that they would be loud, but the basement was as quiet as if there were no ants.

Ethan answered.

“The young beastmen were so anxious that Mr. Hern used some herbs to help them calm down. So they were probably asleep most of the time.”

Ethan said, pointing down the basement hallway.

The rooms lined up along the corridor were tightly closed, and several knights were guarding it.

The doors of the rooms lined up along the hallway were closed, and several knights were guarding the front.

Ethan said with a worried look on his face, asking the knight who was guarding the door to open it.

“No matter how young the beastmen are, we don’t know what they will do because they have lost their minds. So you have to be careful and be more careful. Lady.”

“Yes, I will.”

I nodded.

When the knight opened the door carefully,

“Baang—!”

A very small wolf jumped out of the room.

“Oh my, you haven’t slept yet.”

The knight standing guard in front of the door familiarly overpowered the young beastman and picked it up.

The young wolf struggled desperately to escape from the knight’s arms, but it did not seem easy to escape from the arms of the knight wearing iron armor.

“Lady, what should I do now?”

The knight tilted his head.

After thinking for a moment, I first stepped into the room.

And,

“Can you please sit here?”

I tapped the bed and said.

The knight pondered for a moment, sat himself in the seat I pointed to, and sat the little wolf on his lap.

The young wolf was so excited that saliva was dripping from his mouth.

The wolf, full of white foam, swung his head wildly as if he were about to bite me.

“Calm down, calm down.”

It’ll be okay now.

I gently whispered and laid my palm on the little wolf’s head in an attempt to comfort it.

“Roar—!”

However, the young wolf, who had lost its mind, kept attacking me as if it wanted to bite me, so I didn’t completely touch it.

“B, be careful. Lady!”

Ethan, who was watching from outside, shouted as if his stomach was burning.

I nodded to show that it was okay and then used my ability.

“!”

The knight opened his eyes wide.

It seemed like this was the first time the knights had seen me using my ability.

A faint light green light gathered under the palm and formed a small sphere.

Then, it didn’t take long for the light to gradually gather and what had been faint to become clearer.

‘I can’t touch it, so I have to treat it like this.’

It should have been treated by letting my hand touch it, but the young wolf was very excited at the moment.

‘Is this child’s parent safe?’

While I was getting ready to use my ability, I looked at the young wolf and muttered.

He probably lost his parents in the chaos and ended up here after accidentally inhaling Giles’ pollen and losing his mind.

Fortunately, he was lucky enough to be noticed by Kendrick.

Now, beastmen who have lost their senses are running everywhere, and bird clans covered in Giles pollen are flying in the sky.

He most likely would have been bit by other beastmen and died horribly if he hadn’t caught Kendrick’s attention.

Because beastmen who have lost their senses are not considered children.

‘It’s a relief.’

Because I can come here.

As if comforting a young beastmen , I quietly whispered that it would be okay.

And,

Paaat—!

I used my powers on the young wolf.

It was seen that a bright green ray of light was going down the top of the young wolf’s head and into its body.

‘Because I’ve treated Giles’ pollen poisoning symptoms.’

At the age of seven, the entire mansion was poisoned with Giles pollen due to the misjudgment of chef Akeem.

So it would be easy to treat a young wolf.

…That’s what I thought.

“It’s weird?”

I stared at the young wolf in front of me.

Even though I was using my abilities more than usual, the young wolf’s symptoms didn’t improve.

‘What’s the matter?’

If things were to go as they should have been, the beast form should have been lifted by now, and he should have returned to his human form.

Or even in a signified state, he should come to his senses.

I didn’t understand what was going on, so I tried to give the young wolf even more of my power.

Two reddish wings naturally popped out from behind my back.

When I tried to use my powers a lot, my concentration would drop, and I would become half-shapeshift like this.

However,

“Roar—!”

The young wolf continued to struggle while being held in the knight’s arms.

Despite all efforts, the young wolf’s poisoning symptoms were not cured.

“Lady?”

Ethan called me as if he were puzzled.

It seemed like he was quick to notice that I was panicking and using my abilities more.

“Lady, please don’t overdo it. Because Mr. Hern is making the cure.”

Ethan said it as if soothing me.

I looked up at Ethan with a confused expression, and then looked down at the young wolf in the knight’s arms.

And then.

“Lady!”

I placed my hand on the young wolf’s head.

The knight was startled and covered the young wolf’s muzzle, binding its two feet with sharp claws sticking out.

“I’m sorry, just a moment.”

After asking for the knight’s understanding, I used my ability directly on the young wolf.

A pale green wind blew gently in the basement.

Soon after, the light burst, trapping the little wolf, the knight, and Ethan in a mass of lights.

This amount was used more than when treating Arsene.

‘This should be enough, right?’

After pouring out my powers, I slowly withdrew my hand.

But the young wolf still tried to bite me.

The knight covered his mouth and looked at me as if he were troubled.

“Lady, are you okay?”

 Am I okay?

I felt like I wanted to say no right away to what the knight said.
