"The old witch comes to fight with me every day, which consumes the Ling power in my golden ring and my body. After fighting with her, I will not have enough Ling power to help you kill the beast."
"The old witch will leave here at times to give us a period of time for cultivation. That is our opportunity." Bai had already figured out a plan.
Dongbo Muchen nodded and said, "I’m all ears!”
"Well, this is what you should do!" Bai touched his forehead and smiled.
Dongbo Muchen suddenly wrinkled his face!
"Aunt, why didn't the old witch lock you up? How come she allowed you to move freely around here and consumed your Ling power with that stupid approach?" He removed her palm and shifted the topic.
"What do you mean, you little nerd? Do you think I’m not miserable enough now?" Bai stood up with her hands propped on her hips, glaring at him.
Dongbo Muchen repeatedly shook his head and quickly said, "Aunt, I didn’t mean it like that. I won’t ask anymore questions. . . "
He’d finished the half-bowl of honey. Although it was only half a bowl, it had filled his stomach full as if he had eaten a whole roasted chicken.
After wiping his mouth, Dongbo Muchen also carefully stood up beside Bai Qianqian.
Seeing he was so nervous, Bai Qianqian could not help but let out a guffaw of laughter.
On her beautiful face appeared a smile like the rising sun, so dazzling and bright that Dongbo Muchen could not help but look at her with a dumbfounded expression.
"You really are a little nerd!" Her face flushed slightly.
"Forget it! Listen! The old witch did want to catch me, but she wasn’t able to manage it," Bai said with a hint of pride.
"Then why are you trapped here?" Dongbo was curious again.
Hadn’t she been caught by the old witch and trapped here?
"I came here by myself. . . " Bai was discouraged for a moment, and said with annoyance, "I was fooled and cheated into coming here by the old witch. After I came in, she closed the array outside to trap me inside.”
"Oh. . . " Dongbo Muchen was shocked; he never thought that would be the case.
Staring at Bai Qianqian, he couldn't help feeling funny. She always claimed herself very talented and intelligent, so how come she was cheated by the old witch?
"If you dare laugh at me, I will beat you up. Be careful!" Bai Qianqian seemed angry.
It was okay if she didn’t mention it. Now, Dongbo really couldn't help laughing, so he quickly reached his hand out to cover his mouth.
"You . . . you’re such a little nerd; I’m so furious!" Bai stamped her feet, turned around, and left.
Dongbo Muchen released his palm with a sigh of relief. He tried to calm down and quickly caught up with her.
"Why do you always follow me?” Bai turned angry again.
"Aunt, you’d better not use the golden ring to fight against the old witch. After she is exhausted, you can start to fight back." Dongbo Muchen pretended not to see her anger and closely followed her.
Despite his young age, he had already mastered the art of placating this girl, even to the point of getting entangled with her!
"You really think I’m stupid? I’ve thought about it already. The old witch is very sly. Once more than half of the Ling power has been consumed, she always escapes. The more strength she uses, the quicker the golden ring power will be consumed," Bai answered with great vexation.
"Why didn't the old witch use all the beasts to besiege us?" Dongbo Muchen tried to switch to another topic.
"Why so many questions?" Bai was irritated and then said, "The old witch has raised a lot of Ling beasts, but only the black cat is powerful enough. As for other Ling beasts, they are just my playthings."
Dongbo Muchen was suddenly awake.
"Aha. . . " Harsh laughter was heard and the two looked a little nervous.
"The old witch is coming again!" The two almost opened their mouths simultaneously.
"Don’t be so silly! You can't defeat the flying insect. It'll just consume your potential as quickly as possible. Don’t force yourself to fight!" Bai also looked a little nervous as she urged Dongbo.
He nodded; he had already known what to do now.
Standing inside the ruins, they stared at Ge Wu, who was flying on her broom. They clenched their hands and got ready to fight.

But just then, a loud noise was heard in the sky and the whole world seemed to shake a little.
In the sky, a thin layer of light as transparent as a water curtain emerged. It was so large that the entire sky over the ruins was covered.
The light curtain was shaking with ripples that spread out instantly. Although it was only a thin layer, it was unexpectedly strong. It was not even broken by being blown with such a fierce force. There weren’t even any cracks at all.
"Ge Wu, get out of here! I will break all eight of your spider legs now!" a roar echoed through the sky.
A huge figure floated out of the clouds and cast a shadow over the ground.
