Dongbo Muchen was crawling through the cave. Since it was so dark inside, he had to fumble to move forward. It was so narrow that he felt it almost impossible to bend down to have a look at his feet.

The walls inside the cave were uneven. In some places, even some sharp rocks could be seen. The walls were damp and soft and the cave was full of the smell of mud and earth. Any movement would result in the falling of mud and rocks.

After descending for about two or three meters, Dongbo Muchen finally stepped on the ground. His eyes swept around and his face suddenly flashed with happiness.

There was a branching channel in the horizontal level.

"I can get out of here!" Dongbo Muchen shouted excitedly.

However, he felt embarrassed immediately.

Over his head and below his feet, he had to move backward if he wanted to get into that channel. He could only move at a snail’s pace. If the channel really led to the outside of the ruins, he couldn’t image how far he had to crawl yet.

"I should go up first so that Aunt can come down together with me!" Dongbo Muchen stretched his arms and started to crawl.

With his great strength, he crawled upward faster than he had going down. Within just a few minutes, he returned to the surface again.

"How’s the situation?" Bai asked eagerly.

“It’s a way out!" Dongbo Muchen nodded.

"Great, we can finally get rid of the old witch!" Bai cheered and urged immediately, saying, "Let's go."

Dongbo Muchen explained for a while and they immediately began to climb down backward. He took the lead and Bai crawled behind him.

Soon, Dongbo Muchen touched the ground and then turned slightly to climb toward the horizontal passage.

"Little nerd, did you see the light curtain of the formation?" Bai asked from behind him.

The passage was so narrow that their voices echoed continuously inside.

Dongbo Muchen could not help but reveal a smile. Since they had been down there for a while, they must be very far from the ruins by now. Bai kept asking various questions from time to time with a trembling voice.

The passage in the cave was dark, without any light at all. It was so narrow and boring that they felt very depressed while crawling inside.

After all, Bai was a girl and couldn’t stand such repression, so she tried to talk with him as much as possible to relieve the depression and anxiety in her heart.

"It’ll be soon. I’ve seen the light ahead!" Dongbo Muchen smiled casually.

"Ah, that's great! Then hurry up!" Bai was a little excited.

Dongbo Muchen could not help but shake his head, then he sped up and crawled forward. He occasionally stopped whenever he felt she was getting left behind.

"Aunt, once you get out of here, will you go back to the Qingqiu Mountains?" Dongbo Muchen asked.

"Yeah, Grandpa is still in his closed-off cultivation. Maybe he will complete it very soon. If he finds I’m not around when he comes out, I don’t know how nervous he will be," Bai said.

Dongbo Muchen slowed down and his heart was slightly heavy as some sadness emerged in his mind.

"You have your grandfather waiting for you at home, but I have no place to go." Dongbo Muchen's eyes were slightly moist.

The Ling Men had been destroyed and his brother who loved him most in the world was also dead, so was the old servant . . . all dead, no relatives.

There was no place to go!

"Little nerd, what’s the matter with you? Why do you suddenly keep silent?" Bai asked from behind.

Dongbo Muchen took a deep breath to calm down and said, “I’m fine!”

"By the way, little nerd, where’s your home? I may visit you one day when my grandfather allows me to leave the Qingqiu Mountains once I’ve got enough cultivation. If anyone dares to bully you, I will teach him a good lesson!" Bai suddenly said to him.

It was only when they were going to escape from here that Bai realized she did not know his identity and his origins because she had never asked about his family.

Dongbo Muchen’s heart suddenly felt a warm current wash away all the feelings of sadness and sorrow.

“My home was destroyed and I don't know where I should go. . ." he whispered slowly.

Bai was slightly stunned and said softly, "Little nerd, what about your family?"

“Dead, all killed!" Dongbo Muchen could not help but clench his hands and screamed.

He could never forget the scene when the old servant and A Nu were killed in front of him.

“Ah, sorry, I shouldn't have asked," Bai murmured sympathetically.

Dongbo Muchen crawled forward with his arms for a while and said, "It’s okay. I feel much better now.”

"In that case, why not come with me to the Qingqiu Mountains? With my protection, nobody will dare bully you," Bai suddenly said.

Dongbo Muchen felt a little stunned and then lost in thought.

He had deep feelings for her after such a long time living together. Now he felt very sorry that he would have to wave goodbye to her.

At this moment, he suddenly saw some light glimmering in front of him.

"Aunt, I see the light curtain of the formation. It’s less than ten feet away from us." All the emotions were suddenly dispelled by the light ahead. In the darkness, there was an excitement in his eyes.

He suddenly sped up and crawled toward the light curtain. Behind him, Bai also followed him closely with a happy smile.
