DONGGG!

The sound of the gong signaled the beginning of the battle between Caelian Elysium and Saville Roc.h.e.s.ter.

"I didn't know you are joining this year," Saville said with a tense expression as he stared at the kid. Like everyone else, he thought that his opponent was Caelian Emilson, a young British boy who was as weak as an ant in his eyes. "No wonder I can't find him…" Saville thought as he glared at the dark-skinned kid in front of him.

Even though he was sure of his own ability, he had wanted to preserve his energy and soul power until the final battle, so that he could teach Luca a lesson. As such, he had been colluding with some of the nobles in Arconis and matchmake some of the games so that he could earn some money at the same time while saving his own strength.

Except for the "Caelian Emilson" that he could not find since the banquet last night, which he did not care as well since he could take care of the boy easily with not even 1% of soul power expenditure, he had paid off all those that he might have to exert more than 1% of soul power.

Unfortunately for him, one of the Elysiums suddenly popped out of nowhere, and it was the rumored strongest heir!

"I was bored at home," said Caelian with a blank expression as he folded his arms. "Let's start soon… I have some readings to complete."

Saville frowned. He then shook his head slightly as he put his palms together. When he pulled them apart, a bright light was formed between his palms, and by the time people's eyes adjusted to the light, a weapon had already appeared in his right hand.

"A… falchion?" Juin mumbled as he looked at the weapon. The single-edged blade of the falchion was light blue in color, and it exuded a frosty feel, causing the air around it to freeze slightly. Toward the end of blade, there was a slight curve, which seemed to have a darker color of blue.

On the blade, right above the hilts, lay three small diamonds, which were in the shape of diamonds and was stacked one above the other. Anyone who saw the falchion would know that it belonged to someone who was either very rich, very powerful, or both.

With every move Saville made, however light it was, tiny ice-like particles would be formed near the falchion.

The blade seemed to be light, yet heavy enough to make sure it would sit firmly in the owner's hand while protecting its owner. There was a bright reflection coming from the hilt, but Juin could not see it. He could only tell that it was small, almost the size of his thumb.

"A family emblem?" Juin thought to himself. "It was possible since he's so proud of his heritage even though he was technically no longer a noble."

He then looked over at Caelian Elysium. To his surprise, the kid did not take out his weapon at all. Instead, he removed it from his back and placed the sword, tip first, on the ground.

"What's his weapon, Mr. Tucker?" Juin asked as he watched Caelian's weapon standing vertically without anyone holding it even though it barely touched the ground. The black and red sheath shimmered under the artificial lights surrounding them.

"I'm not sure," Tucker said as he looked on with a serious expression. "He has never fought in public before, and no one has ever seen him use a weapon…"

He then glanced at President Presley and said, "Presley seems to be interested in the weapon. He probably knows what that is…"

Juin looked over, and he saw that President Presley was staring at Caelian intensely.

He then looked back at Caelian, who had taken a step forward with his hands in his neatly pressed pants pocket.

...

"Are you looking down on me?" Saville roared with an annoyed tone as he slashed the air in front of him. As he did so, a series of sharp ice shards were sent toward Caelian.

The boy did not even move as the ice shards headed toward him.

"Be careful!" Juin gasped out as he reached out to grab the banister. The ice shards were just less than centimeters away from Caelian's face.

However, his worries were met with amused laughter by Tucker.

And he knew why shortly enough.

When the ice shards reached a few milliliters in front of Caelian…

THUD!

THUD

THUD! THUD! THUD!

As if they hit an invisible wall, the ice shards stopped in midair before falling onto the stage floor and disappearing shortly.

"That's… wind…! A wind wall!" Juin's eyes widened. Right in front of Caelian, a wall formed from wind appeared and blocked the attack from him.

"You're just going to use wind to deflect my attacks?" Saville sneered.

Caelian remained unmoved as the wind wall disappeared. "I'm not here to fight you today."

"I know who you are here for," Saville scoffed. He placed his right leg back and crouched slightly while holding his weapon in his hand tightly. "Too bad your first opponent is me!" he snapped before sending himself forward, moving so fast that it was not humanly possible.

Like everyone else, he had heard of Caelian Elysium too. While it was true that no one had ever seen him fight in public, but that was because, other than his teacher and his parents, those who had actually seen him fighting had all died or turned deranged.

Some said that Caelian was the one who killed them, while others thought that it was his parents who did those heinous deeds. After all, Caelian was just a young boy.

However, Caelian's parents were famously reserved, and they even kept the birth of their son a secret from the world until he was five. Even after that, they made sure that their son's abilities remained hidden from the world, releasing only snippets of what he could do just to deal with the inquisitive questions of other members of the Council of Elders.

So it was possible that they killed those witnesses just to make sure that no one mentioned anything about Caelian, leaving only the weakminded ones alive since they could no longer form coherent sentences.

Of course, this just made many people curious about the boy, and some people actually sent assassins to go and test out the boy's ability. Very often, the assassins were sent in to work for the family for a few months, or the children of their servants were sent to befriend the boy.

They wanted to know what was so special about this heir that his parents went to such an extent to hide him for so many years… But all their efforts were for naught. The assassins they sent were often killed in a gruesome manner, and the children were not spared.

Even so, this did not deter the more inquisitive ones. And the cycle continued. While this infuriated many people, the Elysiums simply could not care.
