Princess Cecile, who was sitting on the bed, with a half-n.a.k.e.d, muscular man's arm around her shoulders, had a stern expression on her face as she said, "Good, make sure that everyone is ready…"

The man who had his arm around her shoulders said in a deep voice, "We have been ready for a while. According to precedents, after the royal family sent off the Earth guests, they will open up all the gates to the city so that visitors who are here to watch the battles would be able to leave easily as well. During that time, there would be more guards at the gates than the palace."

His short bright blue hair, which was almost shining like, was spiked up, and the markings on his body glowed in violet for a few seconds before dimming off.

"All these…" Lucifer thought to himself as he floated closer to them. Other than him, there were 5 people in the room. The princess, the man next to her, and three other men sitting opposite those two. The other three men had either indigo or blue markings on them.

"They are all the lowest rank citizens…" he thought as he looked at the small black pouch in front of them. The pouch was inconspicuous looking, like an average moneybag that some of the Arconians strapped to their waists for easy access.

"This is the first time Frederic host the battle, so he might not do it the same way," Princess Cecile said with a cold voice. "We can't fail this. Tell all our men, that no matter what, they must not mention anything to anyone. We can't afford to let those Earth people know about it. Romi and I can deal with Frederic and Renaud, but if those people are somehow involved, it will be tough…"

All the softness that Lucifer previously saw in her was gone, and all that was left was a blank face and sharp eyes; eyes that did not belong to a princess raised in a palace.

Those eyes were more like the eyes of a warrior, of someone who had been battling for years.

"Yes, my liege!" the four men saluted.

The man next to her, the one named Romi, removed his arm from her shoulders and said, "We will pay them back for what they did to Mathis…"

His hands clenched into fists as his eyes narrowed into slits as he recalled the brutal scene of witnessing his best friend, Mathis, being killed and had his body hung up high as a warning. He then glanced at Cecile, who had a pained expression on her face.

However, that expression only appeared for a fleeting second before being replaced by an angry expression.

"Not just Mathis… For everyone who died in that b*stard's hands…" Princess Cecile hissed. "I'm going to show everyone just what kind of leader they supported!"

"Yes, for King Adam, Queen Valerie, and poor young King Tomas…" said Romi as he took Princess Cecile's hand and clutched it tightly in his. There was a softer expression on his face as he looked at her.

If everything did not happen, those two would have been married by now. King Adam would have found a way to let Mathis be with his daughter. Even if he could not convince the people to support Cecile and Mathis' marriage, he would have sent them away to somewhere far away so that they could be together.

At that time, Romi had already made the decision to let his feelings for his childhood friend die. To him, Mathis and her were the most compatible couple ever, and he would be happy just by staying next to them.

But then… King Adam was murdered. And so was the young King Tomas.

And Cecile's throne was stolen right from under everyone's eyes.

"Even if I have to die, I'll make sure you get back the throne," Romi said in a soft voice as he gently c.a.r.e.s.sed Cecile's face. "Those who participated in the murder… I won't let even one of them go."

"They were murdered?" Lucifer thought to himself, but there was not even a hint of surprise on his face. No matter where, royalties were often targeted by assassins, and most of the time, the assassins were sent by those closest to the royals.

"Allergy…" Princess Cecile's hands trembled when she recalled the answer the doctor gave her. With teary eyes, she said wryly, "How stupid did they think I am…"

Even though she had never received proper medical training, but she was still smart enough to know that her brother did not die from an allergic reaction. The royal doctors kept telling her that her brother died of a severe allergic reaction, but she knew better.

The pained expression on his face, the purple lips, the way his fingers were curled in tightly… They tried to cover it with makeup, but she still saw the faint lines around his neck; lines that should not be on a king's body.

Everything obviously pointed to poisoning… And it was a really horrible poison; one that was meant to torment the victim to death.

And Princess Cecile later secretly did a lot of study on what could have caused those symptoms. It was a slow-acting poison that would reside a few hours in one's body before being activated. Once activated, it would affect the victim's muscle, causing them to be unable to breathe or call for help.

Tomas died in the middle of the night… Alone, and in a lot of pain.

"I want him to die the same way…" Princess Cecile hissed. "I want all of them to die!"

She looked at the black pouch and narrowed her angry-looking eyes. Her killing intent increased exponentially, while the air around her started to show signs of turbulence.

At first, Lucifer did not think much, but he suddenly raised a brow as he thought curiously, "That… The air's frozen! She's a dual-power wielder!"

The air around Cecile was slowly freezing.

From what Lucifer knew so far from listening to Juin and Tucker's conversations, all Atlanteans could only use one power -- the power of the water element.

"HEY!"

Someone yelled from outside.

"Cecile! The guards!" Romi warned as the rest of the men immediately got on their knees to cover her in case someone suddenly rushed in.

The fact that she was a dual-power wielder was a secret that only the people in the room knew… Everyone else who knew her secret had died.
