CRAAA.S.SSHH!!!

The tornado, as if weighing millions of tonnes, suddenly dropped on the dragon and Renaud.

"ROAR!!!" The dragon released a sonic wave, but its power was engulfed by the tornado.

When the flaming tornado landed on the dragon and Renaud, and after that, the stage and the ground, it brought up even more debris and dust, and this time, even sand, basically blocking everyone's sight again.

"Did we win?" Wolfe got to his teammates by running along the wall until he found their scents.

Juin and Luca had lowered themselves down to the terribly dilapidated broken stage; it could not even be called a stage at this point as most of it had been broken and flattened to ground level.

"I think so…?" Juin said, yet his tone did not seem to be convincing.

Wolfe frowned when he saw Juin's expression, and he then looked at Luca, who had the same expression. He then looked toward the flaming tornado that was pushing deeper into the ground, burning the sand to the point that glass-like dust started to fly everywhere.

"That flames of yours are really something…" Wolfe said as he narrowed his eyes. Even with his soul shield activated, he could still feel the intense heat coming from the flames. If there were even one normal human here, just the indirect heat would have caused that poor human to suffer from heatstroke immediately.

Juin did not say anything. After all, those weren't really his flames. Actually, it was his, in a manner of speaking, but he was more like the tinder that used to lit up the flames. If anything, these flames were the work of him and Luca.

He then mumbled something and enhanced all his senses. Suddenly, he got on a defensive position as he mumbled, "Something's coming…"

"Dragon Blast!!!" someone who was glowing in green roared from within the tornado.

Following the roar, a round bright red light appeared inside the tornado, resulting in the eyes of the three teenage boys widening significantly.

"Damn…" Juin hissed.

"F*ck…" Luca mumbled.

"We're so dead…" Wolfe gulped.

A huge ball of flames was thrown back at them, and at the moment, all three of them were stunned by the brightness of the ball and couldn't move at all, as if they were charmed by something.

Suddenly, three shadows appeared in front of them, and after three bright flashes of different colored lights, the ball of flames was deflected up into the air.

After that, they vaguely heard different voices murmur…

"Fire Blast!"

"Vacuum Flames!"

"Wind Parasol!"

The three teenage boys looked up at the ball of flames that flew thousands of meters up into the air before bursting into what seemed like fireworks. They watched as thousands of flaming balls fell down in hundreds of directions.

But just as they were worried about the potential damage, they noticed that the balls seemed to have fallen on something. And when all the balls had fallen, the invisible shield that protected them appeared in the form of an umbrella.

"Umbrella?"

"That's a parasol…" Luca gasped while frowning slightly. He then looked at one of the people standing in front of him. "Master!"

"The dome…" Juin murmured when he noticed that he could see the spectators who were all looking up at the beautiful image on the sky.

"Is gone…" Wolfe finished his sentence for him.

They then looked down at their saviors.

"Mr. Tucker!" Juin called out when he saw Tucker. Never would he have expected his master to jump in and save him during a sparring match.

"President Presley!" the three teenagers called out at once, shocked to see three of the highest-ranking elders of the Order in front of them.

However, the elders ignored them. Instead, their eyes were on the figure that was walking out of the tornado.

"Dismiss the tornado before you guys completely used up your soul power," President Presley warned as he kept his eyes on the person before him.

Juin and Luca immediately did as they were told.

With the tornado completely gone, the atmosphere returned back to normal, and they could finally take a closer look at the person who was walking out of the tornado.

"Crown Prince… Renaud?" Juin thought. "No, something was wrong…"

The crown prince that was previously half-n.a.k.e.d was now clothed… with scale. From his forehead, running down the sides of his face, to his arms and calves… They were all covered with dark green scales, and with his markings glowing in red, the combination made him look like some sort of monster.

His eyes seemed to have changed as well. Instead of the round pupils that humans had, he was now sporting slit-like pupils with yellow iris.

"He's given in…" Presley said with a frown.

"What's happening?" Juin was mumbling to himself, but Luca caught it.

Giving his teammate a "are you an idiot" look, Luca then explained, "He has completely merged with the dragon that he summoned."

Despite being annoyed at Luca's look, Juin still asked, "Why is Presley so worried then?"

"It's not a good idea to merge with a summoned soul, much less one as powerful as an ancient dragon," Wolfe added on. "While it's ok to summon creatures and use their power, allowing them to completely merge with you is a different matter. Once they have merged with you, they can take over your body completely until they decide to return it… And usually, they don't take your body to do something nice."

He was unsure if President Presley could even defeat Crown Prince Renaud in this state. Renaud had basically given over all the control of his body to the dragon.

"So? Isn't it a Possession? He would eventually break down, right?" Juin raised a brow. "Why is everyone so serious?"

"It's different from your kind of possession…" Tucker mumbled as he directed the boys to move back. "This is the result of a forbidden spell called Soul Merge. Possession has a limit, as to how the creature that possessed the human's body could do without breaking the human's body. You should know this by now. But Soul Merge is a dangerous spell; a double-edged sword. It grants the summoned creature the permission to fully use their power without breaking the human body, and the person would have no control nor the power to make the summoned creature leave his or her body."

Juin opened his mouth, but without even looking at him, Tucker already knew what he wanted to ask, so he quickly added on, "And before you ask, not everyone can use Soul Merge. I doubt anyone knew that Renaud had actually learned this spell. It is an extremely complicated spell that requires the combination of hundreds of spell diagrams, talent, and…"

"Sacrifice…" Luca and Wolfe both added with a solemn expression.

"Sacrifice?" Juin looked over to Renaud. He narrowed his eyes and looked at the "Crown Prince" that was now standing amid the broken stage and roubles, wondering what was the sacrifice. "Why would he do such a reckless thing?"
