"Why is she smiling?"

"Is she really that accepting of her death?"

Those were some of the thoughts in the minds of the assassins. However, suddenly, their eyes went wide open.

"Gurgh…"

The leader glanced at the man standing next to him. "What's wrong?"

The next thing he knew, the man fell down.

No, that was wrong. The man's body split into multiple parts and blood spurted out onto the leader's face.

Instead of being frozen to his place like one would normally be, the leader turned around, and as if they were dominoes, his men fell one by one, all in the same gruesome manner, as parts of their bodies fell one by one until they were heaps of body parts on the floor.

"You!" the leader snarled. "You killed my brothers!"

"I didn't do anything," said the princess with a gentle smile. "I have been sitting here the whole time..."

Not believing her at all, the leader threw the water blades at the princess without any further conversation, hoping to finish his task as soon as possible.

He watched as the water blades headed toward the princess, who remained unnerved in the face of the attack. With the restrictive spells in place, there was no way that she could escape the water blades that were heading her way in all directions.

Just as the blades were inches away, something invisible deflected them, sending them to the ceiling, creating deep stabbing cracks in the ceiling; the only thing that indicative of the earlier attack.

"What…" The leader's eyes went wide open briefly before narrowing it again. He was sure that it wasn't the princess, yet he could not see the other person here. He quickly got down in a full alert pose as he tried to conjure a spell in his Soul Dimension that would allow him to see the invisible person.

Unfortunately for him, he would never have the chance.

When he felt something dripping down his nose, he lifted a hand and touched it. And the moment he looked at it, he gasped loudly, terrified! It was blood. His blood!

"I…"

"Oops…" Princess Cecile sighed as she shook her head.

Blood spurted out of the leader's dismembered body parts as he fell down, joining his men in the heaps of broken body parts.

Standing up, Princess Cecile then walked toward the dismembered bodies and took a quick glance before looking away. There was a look of disgust on her face as she turned back.

"You guys really like blood, huh?" Princess Cecile said with a sigh as she looked at the wall.

"It's the only fun thing about guarding him…" A voice appeared in front of her.

The silhouette of a figure soon appeared in front of her, before quickly taking shape.

The person who came to save her was indeed Master Shawn, the leader of the Water Hunters. He kept his short sword, which was so clean one could never tell that it had been used to dismember 5 people, into his Soul Dimension and bowed politely at the princess before saying, "Sorry for the bloody scene, Princess Cecile, but physical attacks work way better in such a prison. Now that my duty is done, I should take my leave now, Princess Cecile. I believe you will be able to take care of yourself from now onward?"

The princess nodded as she stepped out of the cell.

Master Shawn nodded again before disappearing again, merging with the unique atmosphere in the same way that he came in. After he left, Princess Cecile slowly walked out of the jail, passing by the bodies of the dead soldiers. Judging from their states, they were all killed by the assassins sent by her uncle.

"Ah… They weren't really that mean to me," Princess Cecile said with a sigh.

"But they weren't kind to our people…"

When she heard someone's voice, she looked up and saw Romi standing by the entrance. And when their eyes met, Romi smiled and reached out to hug her.

"I'm glad that you are fine…"

Cecile smiled and nodded as she hugged him back. "How's everything going on?"

"Everything's set, and I have sent someone to notify him, so he will know what to expect," Romi said as he released her. "But I didn't expect that he would be here personally."

"He's a fun-loving guy who likes to stir up trouble, of course he won't miss this."

"But Cecile," Romi asked after a moment of hesitation. "Are you really going to go through with this?"

Cecile remained silent for a while before saying, "If Frederic hasn't tried to murder me earlier, I would have changed my plan… But no. We are going through with this. This country has been doomed for a while, and it is now time to reform it."

"Everyone will be under him."

"The Wisterions will treat the innocent foreigners better than our people treat each other," Cecile said as she looked out the jail, where she could see the top of some of the houses. "We have been giving them chances…"

Did Frederic find the evidence of her collusion with the Crown Prince of Wisterion? He did. So there was never any false accusation. She was in collusion with the Wisterions. In exchange for the freedom of those who had been doomed from birth, she made a pact with the Crown Prince of Wisterion.

And she planned for everything out, from her uncle's spy finding out about the letters to her incarceration as well as the earlier assassination. She knew exactly what her uncle was thinking, and it made everything easy for her.

"Are you sure about this? Those earthlings are still here…" Romi said, frowning slightly when he recalled the weird youth who saved those slaves. "What if they interfere?"

"They weren't supposed to, but we can't delay any further," Princess Cecile said, walking out of the jail completely. When she walked out, she saw a group of people who were cloaked in black robes.

And when they saw her, they quickly got down on their knees and bowed.

In unison, all those in front of her started to chant "Long live, Princess Cecile!" over and over again.

"If you are worried about that person interfering…" She then turned around and looked at Romi. "He has been moved by my words, so he will protect our people if anything goes wrong. If his people join Frederic's forces and attack us, he will definitely defend us."
