Just then, an air of confusion begins to hang in the air.
From the bamboo shoots, as Eve and I had named them, something that looked like a limb grew out.
Eve spreads her limbs wide and stretches out as if she had just woken up from sleep.
Eve stands up and is taller than I am, so tall that I can just look up at her.
She waved her hands from side to side like she was doing gymnastics, and then she slowly started to walk.
We looked at each other and slowly followed her.
The other members of the advance group, who were staring around us dumbfounded at Eve's greatness, followed our lead and stumbled along with us.
"Hmph. Even those of us who are a little more used to this are in this mess. I was proven right when I said it was hard to keep up with Rust.
Rebbe Har Hammer says this with a laugh. I give him a wry smile.
And so Eve walks on. She touches the ground with her hands. She looks around.
Satisfied with what she sees, Eve sits down with her legs folded flat on the ground. It seems that she was checking the sun exposure on the dirt ground.

It is so thick that it can only be reached by a number of people holding hands. A door is formed at the part of the trunk where it touches the ground.
Window-like openings also begin to pop open.
Eve has become a giant bamboo tower.
"Hold on, everybody!"
I called out to everyone, holding my hands on the bamboo wall of the tower that used to be Eve. Immediately, Reb Har Hammer put his hand on the wall.
"Come on, you guys, hurry up!
At the sound of Reverend Halhammer's yell, everyone starts to move quickly.
Eve's rapid growth is not the end of the story. The underground stems that grew out of Eve spread out across the ground beneath the ruins.
And around Eve, who has turned into a tower, bamboo grows one after another.
The ground rumbles with their speed and frequency.
Countless numbers of bamboos break through the ground and are ejected.
Each one grows into a huge bamboo, and doors and windows are made on the walls.
Thus, in the blink of an eye, an improvised bamboo city is completed on the site of the ruins.
