“Qingting, it’s me.” said Song Zhi Xu.

“Old Song, you by going on a business trip is tormenting me. Isn’t it normal to not be awake until after eight o’clock, what’s the hurry?”

He pushed open Song Zhi Xu’s bedroom door and opened the quilt on the bed. Underneath it, Lin Ran was sleeping soundly with half of his head exposed.
Mu Qingting stayed in the room for a while longer, but still left and went back to the living room on the first floor, lying on the sofa while hugging the cushion and falling asleep. Last night, the hospital was so busy that he did two emergency surgeries in one night and didn’t even get any sleep. When he got back, he was directed by Song Zhi Xu to come here again just after lying down. Since he was already too sleepy, he didn’t even care where he was anymore. Lin Ran slept until almost noon when he woke up with a hungry stomach. He opened his eyes and rubbed them again, his head still a little dizzy, and sat on the bed for a while before going downstairs to find something to eat. Just as he reached the stairs, he saw a man lying on the sofa.
Because that person was lying on the sofa with only his two legs showing outside and he couldn’t see his face, so for a moment Lin Ran thought it was Song Zhi Xu who had returned. Lin Ran quickly ran downstairs and leaned on the back of the sofa as he looked over with some surprise, however, the moment he saw Mu Qingting, the pleasant surprise on his face turned into disappointment as he pursed his lips and did not say anything.
Although Mu Qingting was asleep, he did not sleep that deeply and woke up as soon as someone approached him. Opening his eyes, he saw the disappointment on Lin Ran’s face not far away.
Mu Qingting raised his eyebrows.
“What’s the matter? Do you think it’s Song Zhi Xu who’s back? Disappointed to see it’s me, are you?”
Lin Ran nodded his head honestly and walked out to get the meal without saying a word. Mu Qingting’s face stiffened for a moment before he pouted his mouth. The little fool was really honest, which made him sad.
The assistant had already sent over the lunch, which was still hot. Lin Ran didn’t get up to get the breakfast, so he left it at the door. Lin Ran brought it in with him and closed the door, Mu Qingting went over, saw this and swallowed his saliva.
“Little Ran Ran, early in the morning your family’s old Song called me and asked me to come over to see you. I haven’t eaten until now, so why don’t I accompany you and eat some?”
