“Haa… I’m finally done.”

He let out a sigh of relief as he arrived back in Himise through a portal.

Kukuku

He let out a chuckle as he examined his inventory.

“30,000”

He had an impressive 30,000 gold in his account, but that wasn’t all.

“I even have these Uniques left and who knows how well they’ll sell. Still, those aside just selling gold alone I made 1 billion won.”

He had constantly gone back and forth selling equipment until he finally amassed a fortune of 130,000 gold. Since he didn’t require nearly that much gold on hand, he put up 100,000 of it for sale at the Auction along with the Unique items ‘Howling Fox’ and ‘Black Hand of the Sly’.

“I won’t need to worry about money any longer and can simply go ahead and leisurely enjoy some questing.”

✿<Tilto’s Craftsmanship 1>

Tilto is crafting an Item and requires the Claws of the Monstrous Fox which are known to be as hard as steel. Go hunt the Monstrous Foxes and return with Steel Claws for Tilto!

[Monstrous Fox’s Steel Claws: 0/30]

Difficulty: D

Quest Reward: ???, Tilto’s Craftsmanship 2

It had been a while since he’d taken a look at it, so he confirmed the peculiarities before smiling at the Claw Key in his inventory.

He then closed all the windows and stepped out of the village, making his way towards the Great Fox King den located at the edge of the Fox territory.

Upon arriving, he paused momentarily, waiting for something to happen, but when nothing did, he simply kept moving forward.

“Hm?”

He didn’t understand what was going on as he entered the cave. By this point a Great Fox King would have normally charged out, but everything was a bit too quiet.

He continued walking inside but still couldn’t hear any sounds.

“Who was it that hunted it?”

He had arrived at the midpoint of the cave passageway, but still hadn’t seen any signs of the beast so he assumed that someone must have killed it.

“For there to be a player strong enough to hunt it….”

This wasn’t Demes which was crowded with players, but rather Himise. Just who here would be able to take on a Great Fox King?

“…?”

He stood still as he heard some sounds approaching. He wasn’t sure what it was but it didn’t sound like any Great Fox King he’d encountered.

“Hmm?”

The sound of footsteps got closer and  in the darkness Myeonghu could only make out two shadows.

“Are they players?”

“Hmm”

“Ah?”

“…?”

Myeonghu was stunned at the coincidence, he knew the man.

“It’s you! Nice to see you here!”

“Hello”

“…”

The two players to step out of the darkness of the cave were Walcha and Luna.

“Are you free?”

“Yes my business was taken care of.”

“Ho ho, then how about joining us on the quest I mention last time?”

Hearing his question Myeonghu replied with a smile.

“I look forward to it.”

“…”

Walcha returned a silent smile as he sent out a party invite. Once Myeonghu accepted, Walcha then enabled the quest sharing option and a window appeared before him.

✿<Ga Dogu’s Experiment Material A>

Ga Dogu, the Chief and Doctor of Himise is experimenting with a new recipe and requires a lot of raw material. However it would be too time consuming for him to do it himself. Go out and gather the required materials for Ga Dogu!

[Bear’s Gallbladder 0/50]

[Great Fox King Inner Core 0/10]

[Aqua Wolf’s Liver 0/5]

Difficulty: E

Quest Reward: Mana Enhancement potion

‘Was that the potion which permanently increased Mana?’

It should be the special potion which Walcha had mention last time. Seeing the reward, Myeonghu gulped excitedly as he checked the required quest materials.

‘Bear’s Gallbladders… better off just buying them.’

With his current wealth it would simply be a waste of time to hunt down bears one by one when he could just purchase it in bulk at the butcher’s.

‘Great Fox King’s Inner Core…. That one I’ll need to hunt.’

Their Inner Core would cost roughly 200,000 won worth of gold if he were to buy it in store. 10 of them would add up to 2 million! Although with his current wealth it would be fine, it would be far to painful for his soul to spend 2 million won simply to make his life a bit easier on a quest.

‘Aqua Wolf’s liver… we can decide depending on the price.’

He wasn’t even sure if the Aqua Wolf’s liver was even available at the butcher’s. If the price was right he’d buy it, otherwise he would have no choice but to hunt.

“Owww… why?”

As his mind was focused on figuring out how to obtain the quest materials, Walcha spoke up.

Myeonghu looked up to see a woman standing beside him as she aggressively poked him. With an aggrieved expression he quickly continued.

“Sorry for the late introduction, this is my wife Luna.”

Walcha introduced the female player standing next to him.

“Nice to meet you, my name’s Myeonghu.”

“Hello!”

Luna’s face lit up into a bright smile. However after the greeting there was an awkward pause until Walcha spoke up, breaking the silence.

“Do you happen to have any of the quest materials?”

Myeonghu shook his head in response.

“None, but I’ll be able to obtain them very soon.

“Oh, how is that?”

Walcha was surprised by the unexpected answer, after which Myeonghu continued.

“ For the Gallbladders, one can purchase them at the butcher’s. I know a place with plenty of Great Fox Kings and as for the Aqua Wolf’s liver… I’m still not sure.”

“He felt it was a bit of an embarrassing way to end his speech that he had commenced so confidently.

“…”

“…”

Walcha and Luna stared back at him dumbstruck.

“Are you for real?”

Walcha couldn’t contain his excitement as he asked for confirmation.

“What do you mean?”

“Do you really know a spot with plenty of Great Fox Kings?”

“Yeah”

“Is it nearby?”

“Yes, but it requires a particular item.”

Of course the entrance to the Nine Tails Forest couldn’t possibly be much closer, but without a Claw Key they wouldn’t be able to access it.

“… Is this item a Claw Key?”

“Right.”

Myeonghu nodded in reply while Walcha and Luna turned to each other and sighed.

“…?”

It took a second for Myeonghu to understand what their reaction meant.

‘Each player needs 10 Inner cores, but they are two. Had they been spawn camping it?’

Great Fox Kings only appeared in this cave one at a time. After it is killed it would only respawn after a certain period of time. But then there is also the fact that a Claw Key wouldn’t necessarily drop every time. At least the probability of an Inner Core dropping would be higher, but even then it wasn’t guaranteed.

“Just how much did suffer to collect 16 of them… huu?”

Hearing Walcha mumble to himself, Myeonghu was able to confirm his guess. Ge then felt Luna’s gaze as she stared at him.

“Can you tell us where it is?”

“Of course, follow me.”

Myeonghu walked past the two of them as he made his way to the end of the cave. Naturally, Walcha and Luna followed closely behind him.

“Here it is.”

It took him just a couple of minutes to locate the groove, and pointed at the spot to insert the Claw Key.

“Ah…

“Ugh…”

Both Walcha and Luna couldn’t contain their irritation upon learning that they had passed right by it several times. He then inserted his Claw key to demonstrate.

“You do it like this.”

Suaah!

The magic power inside the key surged, and just like last time it created a portal. Myeonghu looked back to see the two of them staring at the new portal in surprise.

“You both have a Claw Key right?”

He wanted to first confirm it with them, but they both pulled one out without saying a word.

“Good, then I’ll go ahead first.”

Satisfied that they each had one in their possession, he stepped through the portal.

Suuak!

Upon arriving in the Nine Tails Forest, Myeonghu smiled at the familiar scenery.

“Oh… is this the place you were talking about?”

Shortly after Walcha followed suit, arriving through the portal and asking Myeonghu, to which he nodded back.

“Yes, but this place is a bit dangerous since Great Fox Kings can be found in packs.”

Naturally on his end he wasn’t at all afraid of Great Fox Kings and even Monstrous Foxes could barely be considered a nuisance, but that wasn’t necessarily true for Walcha and Luna.

Suddenly they heard a sound.

Grrrr!

Grrr!

As soon as he finished talking three Great Fox Kings emerged from the bushes. Myeonghu looked to evaluate the reactions of his new party members.

“…”

“…”

Walcha and Luna just stared at each other. Seeing this reaction, Myeonghu thought they might need his help.

“Jackpot!”

“Raise your shield!”

However it didn’t take long for his first impression to be proven wrong.

Rather than show any fear, the couple instead seemed ecstatic.

“Go Walcha!”

“Okay!”

The two of them fearlessly charged at the Great Fox Kings.
