After everything was all prepared, Zi Wan came over to stand behind Duanmu Xi and bowed in greeting. “Your Highness Crown Princess, the water is ready and Your Highness can begin with your bath.”

“Then allow your servant help Your Highness undress.” Zi Yan stepped forward, thinking to help Duanmu Xi undress.
Duanmu Xi turned around and dodged away from her, before ordering coldly.
“No need. Both of you are dismissed.”
She didn’t want people to come help her take off her clothes, and it was the same even if they were women.
Zi Wan and Ai Yan were taken aback but they still bowed respectfully as they retreated their way out.
“Your servant shall take her leave.”
Till Zi Wan and Zi Yan had gone out from the room, Duanmu Xi then came to stand before the bathtub and began to disrobe.
The warm water washed away the exhaustion on Duanmu Xi’s body. Coming back here made her feel like she had come home.
[Now, she has Father, Mother, Snowy, and there’s also Little Shadow and Lan Ze. She’s no longer lonely, but if Grandfather was here as well, then it would be even better.]

After about half an incense stick’s time, Duanmu Xi was done with her bath. She wrapped the bath towel around herself and stepped out from the bath.
“Have the helpers come in.”
Hearing the call, Zi Wan and Zi Yan pushed the room door open and bowed before Duanmu Xi. “Your Highness.”
“Get me a suit of white clothes.”

Duanmu Shuang climbed out of the sedan with a darkened face.
“Summon the Lady Heir to come see me in my study.”
She had just taken a step inside the manor when Duanmu Shuang turned to give Black Plum the order.
“Yes Your Highness.”
After a low bow, Black Plum turned and walked away in another direction.
After a cup of tea’s time, Duanmu Qing came into the study.
Seeing Duanmu Shuang standing by the window with her hands behind her back, Duanmu Qing furrowed her brows.
“Mother?”
“The Crown Princess has come back.”
Duanmu Shuang still had her gaze looking outside the window, her voice sounding rather faraway.
“What! ? She managed to come back?” Just a few short words was enough to make Duanmu Qing jump up in rage.
Hearing the surprised cry, Duanmu Shuang knitted up her brows and turned to look at Duanmu Qing looking highly displeased.
Detecting Duanmu Shuang’s displeasure, Duanmu Qing immediately restrained her temper.
“Then what about those assassins we sent?”
Duanmu Shuang’s eyes flashed with a cold glint as venomous as a viper’s as she spat out three words through gritted teeth.
“Completely wiped out.”
She had sent out so many elite mystic warriors but not a single one had come back alive.
