The following days were quite dull and uneventful for everyone. All of them were busy with their own business and daily lives.

Sera mostly stayed at home and sometimes shopping with Su Yin. She was also in contact with Xia Ruo Lan and Ethan through emails and calls and would sometimes provide her own inputs and ideas. All in all they were working quiet peacefully.
Lucifer was busy working on the overseas project, he was currently in Y Country and would only return after the successful collaboration between both the parties.
Ethan too was multitasking. He was overseeing his own business projects, the esteemed government project as well as Sera's art gallery's preparations. He was also tormenting Assistant Chen by his side who hadn't seen the face of his home since two days.
Adrian was also busy searching Luke who has gone underground. He was trying to contact the man who is now living into secrecy abandoning their world.
Adrian somehow felt that the task of finding Luke was much difficult than convincing him to work for Lucifer. It couldn't be that Lucifer was intentionally toying with him. Nevertheless, they still had to deal with Yang Deming and Patrick Wilson.
Su Yin has been staying at the Lu mansion, she and Sera were spending time together, shopping, painting and binge watching movies. She even went to visit her father's office and help him. There Shawn would pester her, teasing and flirting as usual.
Lu Jinan was on a one month business trip to K Country. The Lu's were partners with Yang Deming's, Golden Sun Corps subsidiary company.
It was weekend. Sera, Ethan and Xia Ruo Lan were going to attend a happening Saturday night party to celebrate Xia Ruo Lan's recovery. Of course, Ethan was forced by an excited Sera and he couldn't say no.
"I'm done.. I'll be down in 5!", Sera hurriedly spoke, slipping into glittering high heels and checking her appearance into the mirror.
She was looking stunning in a dazzling red short dress that reached above her knees. It was a double hem dress with a long see-through tulle skirt that reached her ankles. Her hair were neatly tied into a ponytail. Her sparkling ruby studs paired with her delicate red crystal pendant stood out making her look elegant and chic.
Gliding down the stairs she went to the main door. Ethan was leaning against his car in the driveway, dressed in a black tuxedo looking dapper as usual. His sleekly styled black hair were making him appear classy.

"Why.. why is she looking at me like that?", he mumbled maintaining a smile on his face, lips quivering nervously.
He smiled faintly, there was no reaction from her. His imagination ran wild, heart racing with anticipation and excitement.
Was he looking so handsome that she couldn't take her eyes off him?
"Ahem!", clearing his throat Ethan flashed a smug smile at Sera.
"Why are you dressed so formally?", she deadpanned unaffected by his charming smile.

"Uh?", he stammered still in a daze unable to understand her words.

"I.. I had no idea how to dress up!", he mumbled hastily in a breath, she nodded her head amusemed.
Nonetheless, she didn't doubt his words and believed him in a heartbeat given his stern attitude. Her head was in the clouds anticipating the party after a whole dull week.
"Let's go.. Xia Ruo Lan must be waiting!", looking at the time she rushed him.
Sera hastily opened the car door and sat inside, Ethan too followed suit and revved up the engine. They arrived Xia house in less than twenty minutes.
"Xia Ruo Lan? We're downstairs.. Hurry up!", Sera phoned her the moment Ethan hit the brakes. He turned to look at her and shook his head clearly amused.
"What?", she looked at him with her innocent black eyes, his heart throbbed against his chest and he gulped heavily.
"Nothing..", he answered turning to look out the window.
His eyes turned larger than globes. He blinked rapidly trying to adjust his eye sight.
A beautiful Xia Ruo Lan dressed in a royal blue modern qipao style dress sauntered towards the car. She was an embodiment of perfection in that fitting short dress making her appear elegant yet sexy. Although it was a high neck dress, the sheer fabric on the neck made it look more appealing.
Her midnight black hair were neatly styled into a bun emphasizing her slender neck and smooth jawline. The twinkling diamond danglers were adding the extra glow to her face as she smiled at them.
"Hurry up!", Sera had already gotten off the car, she was pulling Xia Ruo Lan by her wrist urgently.
The girls were now closer after working together and conversing about different things. They shared similar interests and loved art. Sera and Xia Ruo Lan were now no lesser than bestfriends.
"You sit here.. I'll sit at the back!", Sera hastily opened the door and pushed her in the copilot seat beside Ethan.

Xia Ruo Lan shot the duo a polite smile after slipping into the seat, she buckled up the seatbelt and glanced at Ethan. He was staring at her instead of driving.

"Where are we going?", before he could respond Sera spoke up abruptly shocking the two, they turned to look at her.
"You'll see when you get there!", recomposing himself Ethan smiled, it was more like a smirk that gave one a foreboding feeling.
Sera and Xia Ruo Lan didn't read much into it and nodded in understanding. Ethan's eyes flashed with light and he smiled to himself.
He clearly wasn't interested in partying however Sera had forced him and Ruo Lan, he reluctantly had to agree.

They were now outside a five star hotel. There were a lot of people entering through the entrance who were mostly middle aged or elderly. Her red mouth twitched looking at the sight.
"No wonder he was dressed so fancily!", Sera grumbled shooting daggers at him. Xia Ruo Lan laughed standing at the sidelines and observing them.
Ethan being Ethan, tricked the two naive ladies.. Instead of bringing them to a party he dragged them to a rather boring charity seminar.
