Calling at the the top of her already loud voice, a distressed Su Yin trudged towards the tall man in her high heels. She was clearly anxious.
Attired in a classic black suit and a crisp but playful lavender shirt underneath paired with a satin silk tie in a slightly darker purple, the man looked beyond stunning. His black hair neatly gelled and styled to perfection, his attractive face tinged with a hint of cold indifference was oozing sexy.
"Lu Jinan!!"
Glancing at his phone, Lu Jinan stood tall at the center of the corridor, in front of the elevators.
Not taking kindly to Su Yin's ear-splitting cries, Lu Jinan's forehead creased into a frown. He darted a look at his Vacheron Constantin, his eyebrows knit together.
They were all supposed to meet at this designated place, which is opposite the elevator and go downstairs together, in pairs.
All in the sense, Su Yin, Lu Jinan, Xia Ruo Lan and tonight's star, Miss Seraphina Lu.
And now here Su Yin was creating a fuss like a three year old!
Dressed to the nines, Su Yin was clad in a teal colored backless gown with long sleeves, v shaped neckline and a flowy trail which also had a slit. The design of the gown was minimal yet glamorous where the bust and waist was embellished with tiny crystals.
Su Yin's fair neck adorned a prominent looking emerald choker which looked very pretty on her. Whereas her small ears were left bare.
The lady's plump lips had a hint of rose making them more than desirable. Her beautiful black eyes were lightly shimmery, rimmed with kohl and the right amount of makeup on her face making her appear like an exquisite beauty. Her mid length black hair were styled into a neat bun decorated with an emerald accessory, and loose strands were left falling down the sides of her small face.
Not giving the irritated Lu Jinan any chance to open his mouth to speak, Su Yin started in the same anxious tone.
"Where.. Where is Sera? Where is this girl?!"
Just as Lu Jinan was about to say something in reply, Xia Ruo Lan suddenly appeared in the scene. Not minding the latter's confused expression, Su Yin continued. She was literally freaking out.
"I can't find her, and she's not answering my calls.. The party is about to start, the guests are here and she's missing! What the hell is happening?"
Getting the gist of the situation from Su Yin's non-stop and loud blabbering, Xia Ruo Lan briefly nodded at Lu Jinan as he returned her gaze. She, then rushed to comfort the frantic little girl who was going crazy.
"Relax!! Just relax Su Yin.. Breathe!"
Heeding to Xia Ruo Lan's advice to calm herself down, Su Yin took a couple of deep breaths and eased her expression.
Closing her eyes to gather her thoughts, Su Yin slowly peeled them open to glare at Lu Jinan who was eyeing her with a bored expression. He was getting sick of her drama.
Noticing the glare, Xia Ruo Lan patted Su Yin's back attempting to soothe her while asking with a genial smile. The latter gave a small grunt somewhat frustrated, nodding her head.
"You okay now?"
Smiling, Xia Ruo Lan easily distracted Su Yin, letting Lu Jinan escape freely and look for Sera.
"Don't worry Su Yin, Sera might be in her room. Why don't you just go and check again while Mr Lu handles the guests in the ballroom.."
"Mr and Mrs Lu are also greeting the guests downstairs.. Hmm?"
Heaving a sigh in relief in his heart and thanking his stars, Lu Jinan hastily agreed with Xia Ruo Lan.
"Yes, Ms Xia is right Yinyin.. Thank you Ms Xia!"
While giving Xia Ruo Lan a grateful glance who was coaxing Su Yin, Lu Jinan held her hand in his grasp. He was moved to tears seeing how she had subdued this girl as stubborn as a mule so easily.
Apart from Sera nobody had the strength nor the expertise to deal with this little troublemaker.

All of a sudden came a roaring and very deliberate sounding cough, startling the trio. They stopped whatever they were doing and all at once, turned to witness a glum faced Ethan Lee glaring at them darkly.
Lu Jinan, Xia Ruo Lan and Su Yin were all flabbergasted as they stared back at the scowling man. Their faces had varied comical expressions making the situation look all the more hilarious. Different kinds of silly thoughts running amok in their heads.
However, Ethan Lee didn't think that it was funny at all.
On a completely different track from the lot, Ethan Lee's stormy gaze was fixed on the entwined hands of Xia Ruo Lan and Lu Jinan. His expression intense. It was scary.
The first thing that greeted Ethan Lee when he walked out of the elevator, with his hands in his pockets was a distant yet dazzling figure.
Instantly mesmerized by the beauty of it, the man's gaze darkened the closer he drew. Soon, he realized that the tall and slender looking woman was none other than Xia Ruo Lan.
Xia Ruo Lan's fairly voluptuous body was wrapped in a figure hugging dress with a color palette of soft chiffon pink which gradually descended to a dark plum at the end of the tulle skirt, adding an ombre effect.

The long gown perfectly complimented against Xia Ruo Lan's fair skin tone, and she appeared like a dainty princess out of a fairytale. Truly gorgeous.
