Arriving at the restaurant on rooftop, Zhang Lili was shaking inside, still she persisted with a calm expression. She sauntered like a breeze while her hands secretly balled into fists. Her frantic gaze darting around to find the silhouette of the gray eyed man she'd seen in the photograph.
'Lucifer.. Lucifer? Yes, his name is Lucifer.. I.. I just have to bump into him today, Dad told that's enough.. For the first day!'
With a mild frown on his face, Adrian eyed the composed Zhang Lili as strong feelings of discontentment and disappointment swirled in his system. Vivid recollection of a feeble looking woman with large tears in her dark feline eyes sobbing behind a wall in a long white dress surfaced, and his expression grew heavy.
Noticing the dark expression on Adrian's face, Lucifer simply smiled. His gray orbs flickering.
At a quiet corner, Zhang Lili caught sight of Lucifer in a black suit that added a mystery to him. His sharp gaze hidden by his dense eyelashes seemingly longer than any girls. Her breathing hitched.
'Hmm..? Is that.. Him? I should sit here, this place is quite close to keep an eye on him as well as his movements.."
Choosing an appropriate spot for herself, Zhang Lili perched across Lucifer's table and ordered her meal. It was lunch time yet the restaurant wasn't crowded.
Acting normal, Zhang Lili sat unperturbed while she waited for her meal. Soon,a girl in pink dress arrived, she smoothly strode to Zhang Lili's side and occupied the empty seat beside.
The girl in pink appeared to be a friend of Zhang Lili's, but in actuality she was just an actress hired by the old man, Liu Chenmin. She was here just to act her part in helping Zhang Lili accomplish her plan.
Seemingly enjoying their meal, Zhang Lili and the girl both conversed cordially with big smiles plastered on their pretty faces all along. Their expressions as normal as the sun when rising and setting into the horizon.
"Ad! Let's get out of here.."
Taking a leisurely sip of his tea from the porcelain cup, Lucifer said. To his words, Adrian merely gave a nod as he shot his men a glance, ready to leave.
The man pushed up his feet to the exit, his tall stature strangely intimidating and imposing. Especially with the two men with ice cold expressions following behind him.
"Oh no! He's leaving.."
Scared out of her wits, Zhang Lili shot up from her seat at the sight of Lucifer leaving the restaurant and sprinted towards the exit. She was just in time to catch Lucifer, and board the elevator together with him.
"Ah~ Ex.. Excuse me!"
Accidentally bumping into Lucifer's broad chest, Zhang Lili apologized with her head down as she stepped back in horror. Her meek attitude visibly heartwrenching yet not a single reaction from the man.
"It's okay.."
Raising his gaze at her apology, Lucifer's expression changed in split second as he smiled charmingly at a dazed Zhang Lili. His low subwoofer reverberated in the passageway.
Taken aback by Lucifer's heart tickling smile directed at her, Zhang Lili stood rooted to the ground before the elevator dinged, and she snapped back from her stupor.
They entered together.
Sharing the same space as Lucifer, Zhang Lili felt an invisible hand grabbing her neck and suffocating her. She dare not raise her eyes to meet his steely gaze, her heartbeat ricocheting.
No matter how Zhang Lili looked, Lucifer was no simple man, he looked dangerous and mystifying. She turned her head to the side, her eyes naturally landed on Adrian and she narrowed her eyes in recognition.
'Isn't that.. The man who'd seen me crying and passed his handkerchief, it's been so long.. I didn't think he'd be associated with this man!'
"I'm really sorry.. I'm running late and.."
Rushing through the elevator doors, Zhang Lili almost hit Lucifer's arm in her urgency and mumbled with misty eyes like a meek little lamb.
"It's alright.."
Nodding in understanding at Zhang Lili's words, Lucifer calmly replied. His smile constant.
As though capturing a heartening moment in their memories, Zhang Lili and Lucifer held each other's gaze briefly, just a few steps away from the elevator.
Flustered, Zhang Lili was the first to move her gaze away, she pressed her lips into a small smile and hurried out.

After spending a fairly fun morning with Lu Jinan, Sera decided to drop by 'LuSera' her art gallery after lunch.
Leaning against her chair comfortably after inspecting the newly arrived paintings and artifacts as well as other things, Sera was tired in a positive manner, a smile on her satisfied face. Sera suddenly thought of something, she retrieved her mobile phone on the desk and casually dialed a number.
Sitting up straight, Sera waited for the call to connect and soon her excited voice rang.
"Hello!!"
A low, confused voice resounded from the speakers making Sera scrunch her nose disappointingly.
"Ah! Yes, who is this?"
Checking the number displayed on her mobile screen, Sera turned back to herself as she answered.
"Xia Ruo Lan? It's me.. Sera!"
After a beat, Xia Ruo Lan awkwardly replied in a soft voice. She sounded weak and tired.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I was busy and didn't.."
