The dim glow of the golden candle lights in harmony with the beautiful red roses was a sight to behold. The tenderness, the gentle atmosphere and the beauty that came with it was heavenly. Attired in a clean-cut black suit with a thin white shit underneath, Lucifer sat like the noble man standing above all in the room. His gray orbs held an intriguing glint while his prim and proper outfit inadvertently matched Zhang Lili's.
"The food is here.."
Being interrupted, the awkward Zhang Lili could only swallow her words, an uneasy feeling rising inside her chest. She tried to overlook the swirls of emotions but failed miserably.

If not for Liu Chenmin's coercion, Zhang Lili wouldn't dare serve herself onto the silver platter for this demon king!

Nodding, Lucifer voiced out with a subtle smile that appeared chilling to Zhang Lili.

All of a sudden, the phone in Zhang Lili's purse vibrated causing Lucifer to seize his sentence. She cast an apologetic glance at him before taking the device out. Her eyes widened.
"Ex.. Excuse me!"
Looking at the name displayed, Zhang Lili met Lucifer's dark gaze as she sputtered softly.
After seeing Lucifer nod at her, Zhang Lili stood up with a start before walking out of the door. Her usual graceful poise missing.
'Come to the lobby.. It's urgent!'
Reading through the message, Zhang Lili heard her mind explode in shock. She was afraid to meet Lucifer's keen gaze on her. The feeling that he could see through her soul was sickening.
"Now.. What's wrong with this..!"
Without giving a thought about the grave consequences of snubbing Lucifer tonight, Zhang Lili rushed to the lobby, muttering curses under her breath.
Just as Zhang Lili reached the end of the quiet lobby, a calloused hand grabbed her harshly. The large palm covered her small mouth.
Scared stiff, Zhang Lili's eyes popped out of her skull. Sheer terror written all over her exquisite face.
"Ssshhh! Don't scream.."
The low voice tinged with a chilling threat fell into Zhang Lili's ears. She glared at the man before her with concealed hatred and anger.
Gulping heavily, Zhang Lili nodded her head in assent. Even though she wished to tear his flawless facade, hiding his black heart.
"Wh.. What are you doing here?!!"
Catching her breath, Zhang Lili stared at Mr Bai with her guards up as she asked.
"Shut up! And listen to me.. Your life is in danger. You need to escape from here ASAP!!"
Annoyed by the wariness in Zhang Lili's gaze, Bai Yong hissed. He paused, taking a breath to calm himself as he expounded patiently.
"I don't believe you! What the hell are you getting so worried about me for?!! It's not like we're close.."
Stunned by the man's maniacal expression more than his words, Zhang Lili got worked up as well. Exasperation clear in her tone as she questioned Bai Yong.
The days in Jade Manor so far had only been grueling for Zhang Lili, she'd never had a day without worries. The peace of her mind was somewhere dropped dead in the large manor's cold attic.
Not letting her complete, Bai Yong's grip on Zhang Lili's wrist tightened, his masculine scent assaulted her senses as he closed in. The unpredicted proximity made her heart race in utter fright. Before Zhang Lili could percieve Bai Yong's upcoming move, his cold lips crashed heavily on hers.

Untangling himself, Bai Yong glared icily at the breathless and misty-eyed Zhang Lili pushing her coldly. His frosty tone cleared her muddled up mind like a large ice-block struck right at her head.

The taste of copper and the stinging pain at the corner of Zhang Lili's mouth was the only possible explanation that it wasn't a dream.

The next second, Lucifer's towering figure oppressively strode out of the doors, the din of his footsteps resounding after him.

Swiftly striding past a petite frame, Lucifer straight away dashed towards the elevator at the end of the hallway.
