The blonde woman standing before him wore a combat-grade priest’s robe with a deep slit in it. She was probably one of the elite members of the Ilstadt Adventurer’s Guild who had come as a reinforcement.

A Priestess with long blonde hair. She shared some of the same characteristics as Mia. The difference is that she is a bit bigger, with blond hair in a strong wave habit, red eyes, and jagged teeth like a vampire, giving a strong impression on her face.

“Seran. What are you glaring at me like you have a grudge? It doesn’t matter who does the finishing blow.”

The blonde woman said in a piercing tone as if she was spitting at SeRan. I don’t know if he was glaring at the blonde woman, but with his usual cold stare, it would not be surprising if he was.

“–I wasn’t glaring. And it’s not like I wanted to finish it off.”

Seran whispered, pulling out the one-and-a-half-handed bastard sword that had sunk into the body of the Bronze Demon, slashing it with a single swing, and carefully cutting the neck of the Bronze Demon.

“I wonder …… O Holy Axe Nemesis. Return to my hands with a holy pledge.”

The hatchet that pierced the head of the Bronze Demon, Nemesis, was transferred to the right hand of the blonde woman, and was sucked into the palm of her hand.

The holy symbol of the supreme god Luminous is shining brightly on the back of her hand. Based on what she just said, it’s highly likely that it’s become her personal weapon, with some sort of pledge and price.

“…… It’s a hell of a mess. When night falls, we need to repose the dead and cleanse the land …… Oops, I almost forgot.”

The blonde woman walked up to Souya and stood in front of him again. It’s really just in front of him, and it’s coming at him without hesitation. If she took another half-step forward, her taut chest would be in contact with his.

Our eyes met. She was standing upright, and her eyes were almost at the same level as Souya’s.

“I didn’t get a chance to say hello. So you’re the dark-glassed magic warrior, the demon slayer Souya?”

“Yes. It’s nice to meet you. And you are?”

“Siren, priest of the supreme god Luminous. Watch out for that gloomy guy with the confusing name.”

The woman who introduced herself as Siren gave a fed-up look and pointed her thumb in Seran’s direction. It was unlikely that I would make a mistake, but now that she said it, their names are just pronounced a little differently.

Souya had already heard the name Siren in Ilstadt. If he remembered correctly, she was supposed to be a platinum-class adventurer.

“Did you see the Red Horn?”

“I confirmed that it flew off to the south around noon today. I don’t think he’s in Lingen right now.”

“Are you hurt?”

“I’m unharmed, but there’s one minor injury. A girl, a survivor.”

There was a slight pain in the skin of his neck from the blast, but he didn’t dare mention it. She was going to have to use a lot of sacred arts from now on. There was no need to devote her energy to a burn that could hardly be called an injury.

Then she remembered the girl she had missed before she had engaged the Bronze Demon pack. She has an injured leg. The girl’s leg would need to be treated in order to evacuate Lingen safely.

“Is the injured child in safe condition?”

“I had a Cait Sith Familiar protect her. I’ll order her to return here.”

In response to Siren’s rapid-fire questions, Souya replied in an indifferent manner.

“Souya-san, when did you get a Cait Sith familiar?”

“Louise-san, we’ll talk about that later.”

Since I had just signed the contract last night by chance, I was not hiding anything about it. I can only say that it was the result of a coincidence, but Souya thought that he would summarize and talk about it later, including how it happened.

“Being surrounded by a group of Bronze Demons and remaining unharmed, it’s no wonder you’re a demon slayer. I thought I’d give you a little seniority in therapy, but I guess I was wrong. “

Siren shrugged her shoulders and turned to Louise, laughing thinly.

“I was told it was a middle-aged man with dark glasses. It’s a lot different from what I imagined. No wonder Louise was very enthusiastic about it.”

“Eh …… Siren, what are you saying in a place like this …… I’ll cut you, you know?”

“Hey, don’t start acting like a girl when you’ve got a habit of being overly affectionate.”

“By the way, Louise-san. Are Tat-kun, Peryton-san, and the others alright?”

Souya interrupted their conversation that was about to turn ugly. He didn’t want to be the one to start it, but he was also worried about whether his friends would make it back to Ilstadt.

“…… Tat is fine-kun. He had a lot of scratches and fatigued, but he’s okay. We met Peryton-san and the others along the way. We received a report from the lodge that nothing serious had happened.”

Louise’s words brought a look of relief to Souya’s face. The problems in front of him were piling up, but one of the concerns that had been nagging at his mind all day was finally cleared up.

“I’m really sorry I put Tat-kun through so much. I’m sorry.”

“You’ve pushed yourself too hard, too. Mia, Merylou, Aisha, Peryton-san, and even Tat-kun, who was exhausted, were all worried about Souya-san.”

Louise seemed to be a little angry. I know it was a risky move. But we were able to find one survivor. It was reckless, but it was not a waste of time.

“If we had really pushed ourselves, there was a small chance that we could have defeated him. In fact, when I saw the Red Horn, I could not move.”

Souya showed an expression of disappointment. It’s not that I don’t have regrets about the safety measures I chose at that moment. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hunt down a demon that could be called a disaster.

With the blessing of the Goddess, Goddess’ Breath, Souya was able to fully recover his body for once, and he was able to push himself to a certain extent.

He had also procured a disposable magic stone to fire the magic bombardment [Penetrate], a one-hit kill. If we hit it right, we might have been able to destroy the Red Horn, even though it’s still undergoing the Demonization Electrum.

“Souya-san, please don’t keep everything to yourself. It would be helpful if you could tell us more about what you saw …… Let’s pause here until all the people are here.”
