Calder returned to the headquarter while Terros proceed to Windless Mountain. He landed at the terrace, Veronica was currently resting, admiring the full moon above.
"Daughter..."
"Grandpa, have you eaten your dinner already?" Veronica asked.
"Yeah... I was dining with Calder in Luke's manor a while ago," Terros replied.
"Ah, okay. There's still some food left in the kitchen. I will re-heat them for you of you still want to eat," Veronica said. "Where's Luke? Why he didn't come with you?" she asked.
"He's busy nowadays due to being missing for several days. There's a lot of things he needed to sort out relating to his businesses and properties," Terros answered.
"Ah... got it. So, when he will come here to identify the prisoner in the cave?" Veronica asked.
"One of these days," Terros responded.
"Okay," Veronica said and stood up. I'm going to retire to my bedroom," she said and walked towards the door.
Terros followed her inside. "Where is Elva?" he asked.
"She's in the healing room, watching over Graven," replied Veronica.
"I'll go there so that the deity can finally rest in her room," Terros said and proceed to the healing room.
When he arrived there, he saw Elva feeding a dark liquid in Graven's mouth using a spoon. He went to the bed and announced his presence. "I'm back! You can rest in your room now, Elva," he said.
"Did you see Luke? Have you seen him?" Elva asked.
"Yeah. He's a bit busy nowadays, he told me that he will come here as soon his schedule is cleared up," Terros answered.
"Okay..."
"What did you feed Graven just now?" Terros asked curiously.
"The herbal concoction I fed him is meant to expel whatever toxins or poison that is inhabiting his internal organs. Let see if we can see some result later," Elva said and wiped the extra liquid from Graven's mouth with a face towel. She rose to her feet. "I'll leave Graven in your hands while I'm going to rest for a while. If there's already a result... call me right away," she added and walked towards the door carrying the bowl in her right hand.
"Got it!" Terros replied and sat on the chair facing Graven.
"Son, how are you? How are you feeling now? Elva feed you another medicine just a while ago. I hope we will have some result soon. Hang in there! We will never give up finding the cure for your strange illness. You will get up and return to your old life soon!" he said optimistically and patted Graven's arm, comforting him.
He released a deep sigh and covered Graven's body with the white blanket. Then he stood up and went to the vacant bed. He put his sleeper in the corner and hopped in the bed to get some nap time.
He shut his eyes to sleep.
A few minutes later, Terros had fallen asleep soundly on the bed.
Two hours later.
Terros woke up and went to the bathroom to take care of the call of nature.
When he returned to the bed and looked at Graven, he noticed something...!
His eyes widened in shock...
A dark liquid was coming out from Graven's ear and nose and more from his mouth!
He quickly left the room and bolted to Elva's room, knocking three times on the door. "Goddess, something is happening with Graven in the healing room!" he said aloud.
A few minutes later.
Elva opened the door and looked at Terros. "What's going on?"
"A dark liquid was coming out from Graven's mouth, nose and ears!" Terros answered.
Veronica opened the door of her room after hearing the commotion outside.
Elva and Terros went back to the healing room in a hurry.
Veronica followed them to the healing room.
Terros opened the door... they were about to enter the room when they saw a dark liquid forming a puddle on the floor.
"Don't go inside yet!" Elva prevented Terros from entering the room.
The three of them were sandwiched in the doorway staring at the black liquid gathering on the floor.
The dark liquid continues flowing out from Graven's nose, ears, and mouth.
"What the heck is going on!?" Veronica asked in confusion.
"The medicine that I fed him earlier finally shows some result!" Elva said triumphantly.
Terros stared at the dark liquid gathering on the floor. "The more I see the black liquid it reminded me of that black liquid I saw in the crumbling castle!" he blurted.
They looked at each other in awareness...
The black liquid was slowly moving towards the door...
Veronica stared at the slow-moving black liquid. "Guys, did you see the black liquid... it seemed moving towards us!" she said.
"Yes, it is!"
"Watch out!"
The black liquid hurled itself at the people standing at the door...
But Elva manages to wave her right hand on the spot... freezing the back liquid in mid-air. Then she freezes everything inside the healing room.
"What the hell!" Veronica gushes in shock.
"The black liquid is alive and ready to devour us!" Terros said.
"Yeah..." Elva responded. She waved her hand and three golden antique jars appeared on the floor.
"What are those jars?" Terros asked in bewilderment.
"They are magical jars. They will suck all the black liquid coming out from Graven's body. Then afterward, we will burn the black liquid along with the jar," Elva explained.
"Ah, I see..." Terros uttered in amazement.
"Let's move away from the door because I will unfreeze everything inside the room," Elva said.
They moved out of the doorway and step back a few meters away.
Elva moved her hand and unfreeze everything in the room.
Suddenly the dark liquid splattered on the wall in front of the door.
Then it slowly moves back towards the healing room.
The trio looked at the black liquid in fascination.
"Oh, slimy slimmy dark liquid... you sure is alive, eh?" Veronica joked.
The trio slowly went to the door and saw the black liquid climbing up the jar and disappeared inside.
"Amazing!" Terros said as he watched the dark liquid flowing out from Graven's mouth, nose, and ears, slithering in the bed like a snake, going down the floor and heading towards the jars' mouth and disappearing inside.
"It's fun to watch!" Veronica gushes.
"Yeah, but it's no longer fun if this black liquid will enter our body and turned our intestine into jelly!" Terros said.
Elva stared at the black liquid and covered her nose. "Did you notice the foul smell, guys?"
"Yeah, we did and it's getting so bad... I have to get out of here and vomit in my bathroom!" Veronica left and rushed towards her room.
Terros and Elva continue covering their noses with their hands.
Elva looked at Terros. "Let's shut the door and check later. I'll go to the terrace to breath fresh air!" she said and quickly leave the place.
Terros closed the door of the healing room and followed the deity outside. He needs to breathe fresh air as well!
They rushed into the terrace and finally their lungs were replaced with fresh air, the nasty smell was gone.
Terros inhaled fresh air into his lungs, then he settled on the chair facing the deity.
Veronica came to the terrace to join them.
"What's going to happen next?" Terros asked.
Elva looked at him. "After the cleansing, let see what happen to Graven's body next..." she said.
A grim picture appeared in Veronica's head. "Is there a possibility that the black liquid already devoured Graven's internal organs inside his belly?" she asked the one thing that she feared the most that are likely to happen.
"What kind of question is that, daughter?" Terros asked.
Elva released a deep sigh. "There's a possibility that Graven's internal parts were already eaten by that black liquid..." she said.
"Shiit!" Terros uttered profanities under his breath. He looked at the girls. "Sorry... I can't help myself... I'm feeling so worried about Graven right now..." he apologized dejectedly.
"It's okay..." Elva said and stared at the horizon above.
Feeling restless, Terros stood up and began pacing back and forth on the floor.
A few minutes later.
"I'm going to take a peek at the healing room," Terros said and walked towards the door.
Elva watched the old man enter the house.
Veronica looked at Elva's calm expression. "What is Graven's chances of surviving his current condition?" she asked.
Elva took a deep breath. "After all those dark liquid leave his body... his internal organs might collapse. We don't know yet the extent of the damage cause by the black liquid inside his body. I hope it's not fatal," she said grimly.
Veronica heaved a sigh and stood up. "I'm going to see the healing room..." she said and walked towards the door.
Elva left the terrace and went to her mini-laboratory. Before she entered the door, she saw Terros and Veronica standing in the doorway, covering their noses and looking inside the healing room.
She entered the room, she's going to prepare the next herbal medicine that needs to be administered to Graven after his body flushed out all those black liquid from his system.
Veronica looked at Graven lying on the bed. Her brows knitted together. "Why is it that there's still more black liquid coming out from his body? Why there's no ending yet?" she asked while watching the liquid entering the jars.
Terros sighed and shook his head. "I dunno..."
"I'm going back to the terrace. I can't stand the smell," Veronica said and left.
Terros looked at Graven one last time and closed the door. He followed Veronica to the terrace.
Half an hour later.
Terros returned to the room and pushed open the door, he glanced at the jars, no more dark liquid on the floor. "Good!"
Then he looked at Graven on the bed. He noticed something wrong...
He entered the door and rushed to Graven's side.
"No! This can't be!" His eyes widened in horror and his heart stopped beating... he bolted outside, going to the deity's room. He almost collided with her when she exited her mini-laboratory. "Elva! You need to see Graven right now! I think he's already dead!" he said, panicking.
"Calm down!" Elva rushed to the healing room together with Terros.
Veronica entered the house coming from the terrace, running towards the healing room after hearing Terros's voice declaring Graven dead.

Terros returned to the room and pushed open the door, he glanced at the jars, no more dark liquid on the floor. "Good!" Then he looked at Graven on the bed. He noticed something wrong... He entered the door and rushed to Graven's side. "No! This can't be!" His eyes widened in horror and his heart stopped beating... he bolted outside, going to the deity's room. He almost collided with her when she exited her mini-laboratory. "Elva! You need to see Graven right now! I think he's already dead!" he said, panicking. "Calm down!" Elva rushed to the healing room together with Terros. Veronica entered the house coming from the terrace, running towards the healing room after hearing Terros's voice declaring Graven dead.
