Ch131 - Throes Of Passion

It had been a late night for the both of them last night. Gu Qingchi woke up ten minutes earlier than Xie Luyu. Once he finished washing up, he went to check up on Xie Luyu.

In the middle of the blanket, there was a large lump. Xie Luyu had buried himself in the blanket.

Gu Qingchi had a habit of walking around barefoot when he was at home, so his footsteps were very quiet. He thought for a bit before leaning his torso against Xie Luyu. It was almost as if he were leaning against a giant pillow. Xie Luyu felt a weight settling down upon him. He raised his head and, for a few seconds, he locked eyes with Gu Qingchi. He then turned back around and covered himself up with the blanket again.

“Have you woken up?”

Xie Luyu remained motionless.

Gu Qingchi couldn’t help the muffled laughter that bubbled up in his chest, but he managed to keep it silent. Once this bout of laughter had passed, he cleared his throat and began to speak.

“I’m so hungry, but there’s nothing to eat in the kitchen.”

“I kind of want to eat stuffed eggplant, not the kind with meat but the kind with just eggplant.”

Xie Luyu immediately lifted the blanket off of himself and sat up. Gu Qingchi ended up sliding off of him, so he promptly got off the bed and stood on the carpet.

Xie Luyu nimbly changed out of his pajamas, showing off his beautiful abdominal muscles. He nagged at the other as he changed.

“You should’ve told me sooner. You’re going to get a stomach ache if you don’t eat. It’s going to take a while for me to make stuffed eggplant, so why don’t you have something else to pad your stomach? How about steamed eggs? If there’s something you want to eat, quickly let me know.”

“Mn. I just want to eat stuffed eggplant.”

Xie Luyu moved quickly. He’d already tidied himself up and had moved onto tidying up the bed.

“You’re too easy to take care of. You’re satisfied with some stuffed eggplant, and it’s not even the kind with meat in it.”

Xie Luyu went to wash up. Gu Qingchi went to the kitchen first in order to wash the eggplants. He was really only capable of rinsing the eggplants a bit. It was obvious from his bearing that he didn’t go into the kitchen very often.

Upon entering the kitchen, Xie Luyu saw Gu Qingchi put all the eggplants into a small basin and place them under the faucet. The basin was absolutely packed with eggplants. There were so many of them that they started piling up above the edge. Gu Qingchi had no choice but to hold them down with his hands so that they didn’t fall out. He could only hold them under the water since he didn’t have any hands to spare.

Xie Luyu was a little shocked.

“Hold on. Don’t you think you’re being a little greedy? Do you plan on eating nothing but stuffed eggplants for the rest of the week? It’s going to give you a stomach ache. No, I need to go get the digestion tablets first.”

Xie Luyu nagged and nagged, taking the eggplants out of the basin as he sighed.

“So stubborn.”

He removed more than half of the eggplants. In the end, there were only three or four eggplants left in the basin. Gu Qingchi found this a little regretful.

“Is this enough?”

“This should be enough for two of you to eat. The remaining eggplant can be used to cook up a few more dishes.”

Gu Qingchi put one eggplant back in the basin. Xie Luyu looked at him suspiciously, but he explained himself.

“You have a bigger appetite than me.”

“This isn’t for two of me to eat. This is for both you and me.”

Xie Luyu originally wanted to say that there was enough for the both of them anyway, but he decided not to. His lips curved into a smile as he silently prepared that eggplant as well.

Xie Luyu continued talking as he sealed the stuffed eggplants in plastic wrap.

“I’m serious. Give up on the stir fried eggplant. Stir fries are only good right after it’s made. It won’t taste good if you leave it for later. The texture will be super soft. There won’t be any of that crispiness. Trust me. Try it and you’ll know. If you want to eat it, I can just make it again.”

Xie Luyu may be saying that, but he still did as the other asked. He could never refuse a request from Gu Qingchi.

Once some time had passed after the meal, Xie Luyu pretended to ask casually.

“Have you taken your medicine today?”

Gu Qingchi’s prescription dosage had been reduced from a quarter of a tablet to an eighth of a tablet.

Gu Qingchi shook his head. Xie Luyu reminded him, so he immediately went for his medication and took it.

Gu Qingchi didn’t actually mind so much anymore. He often forgot to take his medication if no one reminded him. However, Mrs. Gu and Xie Luyu were always careful in bringing it up. It was as if it were a wound on their bodies that had never healed.

Gu Qingchi had been drinking water after taking his medicine. Xie Luyu poured him another glass.

“Is it bitter?”

Gu Qingchi thought to himself for a bit. He straightened up and slowly leaned into Xie Luyu. He moved so slowly that, even though there was only a hair’s breadth between them, the other could have avoided him at any moment. In the end, their lips and teeth intermingled.

Once he retreated, Xie Luyu’s lips were moist and glistening.

Gu Qingchi tilted his head. His hair swayed in the air, and he asked, “Well? What do you think?”

Xie Luyu’s Adam’s apple bobbed.

“I don’t know.”

Gu Qingchi leaned back in. His voice was so, so soft. Xie Luyu could almost feel the warmth of the other’s breath on his neck.

“Should we try it again then?”

Xie Luyu didn’t speak. He just abruptly turned to the side. He had one leg knelt on the sofa and the other standing on the ground. He then clasped the back of Gu Qingchi’s head to protect him. The two of them fell onto the sofa. The only thing that could be seen from behind the sofa was a hand stroking the back of Xie Luyu’s neck.

Clothes were thrown to the floor one by one, ties, pants, shirts with the buttons ripped off.

A pair of hands could be seen on the armrest of the sofa. Another larger hand was placed upon them and held them down.

The two of them eventually rolled onto the carpet. The narrow space between the sofa and the coffee table just so happened to fit the two of them.

Gu Qingchi suddenly came to the realization that Xie Luyu was actually rather strong. He was entirely at his mercy, moved and manipulated at his will. He felt almost a loss of control over his own body, but this also set him at ease. It was as if he’d handed the reins to the other party, and he didn’t need to worry about a thing.

Xie Luyu’s effortless appearance reminded himself of when he played with the cat. He could effortlessly turn the cat over and rub its soft white belly. He only needed one hand to flip and turn the cat around however he pleased.

In this moment, Xie Luyu was nothing like the big friendly dog that he usually was. He was like a wolf, biting at the other’s neck, tangled in the other’s limbs, taking complete and utter control of the situation. Gu Qingchi was also seeing his aggressive side for the first time. He felt like things were starting to get out of control when a particularly strong thrust jolted into him and he let out a muffled whine.

It seemed that this had stimulated Xie Luyu. He flipped Gu Qingchi over. Gu Qingchi found himself on the soft carpet, his hands splayed on the ground. He couldn’t take the nonstop onslaught of stimulation. He wanted to move forward and escape. He reached for the sofa, trying to stand up.

Xie Luyu then laughed. He grabbed Gu Qingchi’s ankle and dragged Gu Qingchi back to his side.

He mercilessly locked Gu Qingchi in his arms, jostling Gu Qingchi’s body in time with his movements.

This went on for what seemed like a long time.

In the end, Gu Qingchi no longer had the strength to support himself, and his upper body slowly slumped on the carpet. Xie Luyu held Gu Qingchi in his arms. He had him seated in his lap and gently nibbled at his ear. He felt Gu Qingchi’s body trembling due to his movements and chuckled lightly.

“It’s still early. You started this. You should take responsibility.”

Xie Luyu and Gu Qingchi ended up trending during the three or four days after they met up.

[Gu Qingchi And Xie Luyu Suspected To Be Living Together]

In actuality, the only evidence was a video and a photo. It was a video of two people paying the bill at a barbecue restaurant and a photo of those same two people walking past the gates of a neighborhood community. The paparazzi had even blurred out identifiable information from the photo of the gated community. This could be considered fairly considerate for a paparazzi.

The two of them had already announced their relationship. Things had been going well for them for the past two years, so it wasn’t really a big deal for something like this to get out. However, there had always been a high degree of attention on Gu Qingchi, not to mention Xie Luyu. If you were to grab any old person off the street, they’d still be able to recognize him, so it was safe to say that the topic was ranked pretty high on the trending list.

[Xie Luyu used to say that his lover’s career was important, but look at him now! How improper!]

[Xiao Chi’s doing okay though. I really like the couple of roles that he’s taken on. He’s also taken on some commercials. I get to see him on television pretty often.]

[Hmm, that’s true, but those commercials were all for his family’s company. I’m willing to bet that, if it weren’t for that, he might still be slacking off … ]

[I mean, isn’t he kind of a slacker already? I hope that Xie Luyu can motivate Xiao Chi. He should at least pick up a few lead roles each year.]

[Hold on, I can’t be the only one who’s been watching this video on repeat, right? Hahaha, it’s hilarious. Xie Luyu must be drunk. How has he gone from an old dog to a little puppy?]

Gu Qingchi hadn’t done much filming over the past two years. He’d only played a few supporting roles with relatively little screen time. He’d also accepted a commercial for his family’s company. It was pretty clear that he had no ambition at all. It stood to reason that he should have lost a lot of fans. However, he’d always been relatively low yield in his work as an actor, so his fans were used to it.

Moreover, Gu Qingchi had been using Weibo here and there ever since he took back his Weibo account. He was never online for very long, but he took replying to his fans very seriously. Once, he’d even chatted with a fan in real time, learning how to participate in a lottery.

Gu Qingchi’s fans had organized the lottery. The prize was a little doll of Gu Qingchi. The doll had been made by the fans themselves. It was a chibi style doll, somewhat similar to garage kit figures. It even came with several sets of clothing. Mrs. Gu was immediately taken with it and wanted it very much. She privately messaged the organizers, offering to buy it, but was rejected as the doll wasn’t for commercial use. Mrs. Gu didn’t really understand. She only knew that the doll couldn’t be bought, so she needed to participate in the lottery.

Gu Qingchi shared the original post after being tagged by Mrs. Gu. Xie Luyu ended up finding out about it too, so he shared it with both his main account and his side accounts. He had more than one side account since he was always at risk of being suspended for fighting with his own fans. His side accounts all followed suit and shared the lottery post. His desire to please was painfully obvious.

Gu Qingchi wasn’t very good at this whole social media thing. He only learned how this all worked after asking a few questions in the comment section. In the end, he didn’t win the doll. However, he did end up on the trending list, and the interaction was even screenshotted by fans.

His fans were now determined to teach him how to use social media in order to get more photos from him.

In short, most of the people under this trending topic were teasing or jokingly jealous, making for a very harmonious scene.

Xie Luyu was filming when this trending topic made it onto the homepage. He may be internet addicted, but he still had a sense of professional ethics as an actor. In order to get into the role as soon as possible, he would stay in his lounge by himself. He wouldn’t play around on his cell phone. Instead, he would turn it off and hand it to his assistant.

Once he finished filming, the trending search had already gone down. He shouldn’t have ever known about it. However, he cared very much about Mrs. Gu.

Mrs. Gu was usually very quiet. She would only become active when it had something to do with Gu Qingchi. She was like a water army for Gu Qingchi.

Once he figured out what had happened, he sent a message to Gu Qingchi. He first sent a couple of memes.

[SoScared.jpg]

Mrs. Gu hadn’t opposed their relationship after Gu Qingchi confessed his affection for Xie Luyu. However, she didn’t express her support either.

Gu Qingchi replied with a question mark. He typed slowly, so he gradually got into the habit of responding with symbols or punctuation.

Xie Luyu replied with a voice message. He spoke tactfully.

[How’s Mom — no — how’s Auntie been doing these past couple of days?]

Gu Qingchi also replied with a voice message.

[She’s doing pretty good.]

Moments later, he sent another one.

[My mom told me to invite you over for a meal yesterday. She told me to ask you when you’re free.]

Xie Luyu replied quickly.

[I’m always free.]

Gu Qingchi came to realize something at this moment.

[Nervous?]

[Of course. I always feel as if your mom is going to slap a check in my face and tell me to get away from her son.]

Xie Luyu immediately followed up with a few more messages.

[We’ve already gone all the way. You can’t pretend like we haven’t.]

[What do you think I should bring with me? I noticed that your mom likes Gucci. Would she be interested in tickets to their runway show?]

Xie Luyu sent several messages in succession. Gu Qingchi finally found a break in the messages and replied.

[You don’t need to be nervous. After all, I like you.]

I like you, so my mother will like you too. My family will respect you.

Mrs. Gu had even asked Gu Qingchi about Xie Luyu’s tastes a few days ago. She didn’t feel any anger or indignation after learning of the trending topic. She did feel a little despondent. Her little boy had grown up just like that. However, Gu Qingchi simply needed to cutely ask for cake and ice cream, and she would immediately cheer up again. On the one hand, she would say that he needed to cut back on the sweets. On the other hand, she couldn’t help but buy him everything he wanted.

No matter how old he was, Gu Qingchi would always be her little boy.
