Let’s go Boparu!”

“Kyui!”

The first to start moving to the stone golem that started to move were Sylph and Boparu, both of whom circled to the left and right, crushing and grinding away at its ankles.

“KyuiKyuiKyui!!”

Unlike Sylph, who slowly whittles away at the one-handed sword to keep it buried, Boparu shaves off his left leg at a pace that would make a rock drill go bang!

“Gogogo…”

The stone golem, which had been slowly standing up, falls to the left before it can fully raise its body.

“Kyui!”

While stomping on stone golem’s knee as it fell down, Boparu jumped up and crushes the stone golem’s head with an aerial spinning kick as it falls down. Boparu’s body jumps up in reaction, and it strikes the stone golem with a series of countless blows to its broad back!

“KyuiKyuiKyuiKyuiKyuiKyui! Kyui!!”

“Gogo, GogoGogo…”

Finally, Boparu kicked with both feet as if he was stomping on it, and then seemed to leave the stone golem as if he was doing a backflip. The next moment Boparu’s figure was in the sky again.

“KyuiuiiiIIIIII!!”

It’s the same one that thwarted the fairy eater sometime ago; a dive kick from high in the sky pierces the stone golem, causing the stone on its back to explode.

“Go…”

The stone golem slowly falls forward as Boparu thumps him around on his back.

“[Water Ball]!!”

“Hoo!!”

But there’s the wizards in front, the chanting over, the mass of water and the blade of wind hitting the stone golem.

“Did I do it?”

No, not yet. The stone golem still has nearly 80% of its HP left.

“The stone golem is very tough! Even with Boparu’s continuous attacks, only 20% of its HP can be removed.”

“Ho!?”

“…no, It would be crazy if there wasn’t so much of a level difference that one person could cut 20% of a boss’s HP in one hit against a boss that specializes in defense and strength…that’s the impression I get from Yu, who’s been with Boparu the longest…?”

Taku pulled out a big sword and opened his mouth as he looked at the movement of Boparu and spilled words as if said involuntarily.

“…He’s all alone now, isn’t he??”

“That’s what I’ve always thought.”

I responded to Taku’s muttering by slapping my staff on the stone golem as he slammed his greatsword into it.

Hmm… this level of speed should be fine… maybe I’ll level up my kicking skills?

“The last time I partied with you, it was against ants, so it was over quickly. How many did that look like Taku?”

“5…no. About six chains?”

“It was a 7 from what I saw.”

“Seriously!”

What? What are you talking about? Sometimes you leave me out when talking about the game. I don’t know this is net slang.

“What are you talking about?”

“We are talking about the strength of the Boparu?”

“What? You mean the kicking rabbit is strong? Or kicking skills?”

“No big sister. I’m not talking about professions, or skills, or stats. What’s really great about Boparu-chan is the technology. So-called real skills.”

Real Skills? So it’s not the character’s specs, but the player’s skill.

“Yu, do you know what a skill chain is?”

“Suchi-in? What’s that? Chain skill?”

“It’s a chain, not a skill, a skill chain.”

Hmm, I’ve never heard that one before? Maybe I just don’t remember it though because it sounds familiar.

“Hmm… do you understand that there are three types of skills, ‘Passive Skills’, ‘Active Skills’, and ‘Magic Skills’?”

“Oh, well kind of?”

Is it an active skill to activate it arbitrarily like with an appraisal, a passive skill is effective just by possessing like cold resistance, and a skill such as water magic a magic skill?

“Just like a magic skill needs chanting before it can be activated, Active skills have a post-technique stiffness skill delay after they’re used instead of being able to be activated instantly. There is a technique called skillchain that puts multiple active skills on top of each other to delay the stiffness of the first skill until after the all skills in the chain complete.”

Taku explains it to me while he is single handedly slashing stone golems with the belly of his big sword, but honestly, it’s just hmm, I didn’t know there was such a thing. I can’t get any feedback other than, are you Ok with the fact that Boparu is superior in its technology?

“In order to chain skills, all you have to do is activate another skill during the chainable time set for each active skill, but this is a very small time frame. If you miss the timing and fail to chain, the skill won’t activate, and you’ll get the stiffness from all the previous skills instead, so you’ll be in a tough spot right away…”

“And on top of that, the more you chain them together, the shorter the timeframe will become. If successful, the skill’s attack power goes up. I think I can get up to 3 chains out of it. And only in a certain rotation.”

“Sylph’s main weapon is a rapier, so it’s easier to chain skills. Big swords are really hard to chain, and even if you can chain once, it’s only a 50/50 chance…I’d like to have one by the time of the tournament…”

Sigh~

Taku and Syph sigh. By the way, while they are over there chatting…bassin basin…zak zak…gesi gesi…Kyui, Hoo and Mea sounds surrounded the golem as they torture it. But it’s hard. It’s still barely at 60% HP.

“So, what’s this all about?”

“…well, the bottom line is that even though it’s a fighting skill that’s easy to chain, it’s amazing that Boparu is able to chain 7 times and activate the most appropriate skill for the changing situation. Thanks to all the chaining, the last hit or whatever would’ve been a lot more powerful right?”

“…With that small of a body, that much mobility, and the extraordinary destructive power of a single blow, I honestly don’t want to fight him! And they run so fast that they leave an afterimage. It’s hard to cut if they’re wandering around your feet, and once they close the distance, it’s hard to get away from them. You’re a hard opponent for both melee and ranged players. Boparu?”

“I mean, Boparu is awesome! Boparu ~ I got two compliments on you. Good job!”

“Kyui!!”

I waved to the Boparu, who was waiting for his MP to recover and for his skills to cool down, and he answered me with a happy little wave of his hand.

Ah~ Cute~

“…okay. If that’s what Yu wants, its fine.”

“I agree. I think your sister’s gonna be fine with that.”

I’m not sure why Tak and Silv are looking at me so kindly, but it’s okay because Boparu is cute.

“Gogogogogogogogogo!!”

“Oops.”

I completely forgot about it, but now I’m in the middle of an area boss game.

The stone golem who had been surrounded and beaten and slashed, stood up a dull aura from the whole body and shook their fists at Sylph.

It was so easily avoided.

Looking at the stone golem’s HP, it had less than 50% left. That’s phase two of what Tak was talking about.

“Well, that’s it for the chatter, now let’s get serious!”

“”OH!””

“Hoo!”

“Meh!”

“Kyui!”

“Oh, Boparu, you can cut back a bit? Otherwise we won’t be getting any skill experience too.”

“Kyui!?”

I’m going to have Boparu stand down for a bit while the battle moves into its second phase.

** Author’s Notes **

Mofu Mofu!

I bought the second volume of “Commonplace”!

It’s commonplace good. After all, the main heroine is a mute loli girl and the second is a rabbit girl.

I don’t know why my dad read it before I did.
