Lin Jiu avoided the skeleton’s attacks as she destroyed them from behind. At first, she did this to protect herself, but slowly her curiosity grew, and she wanted to know what exactly happened at the Qian Qi Pass.

As the skeletons shattered beneath her attack, their resentment rained on Lin Jiu like drops of bright red blood, and a cloud of shadow was cast silently on her heart.

Kill, kill, kill……In the sea of red, her pupils started to heat up, and it was like her vision was painted with an even darker shade of blood…

Just when Lin Jiu started to gain momentum, a refreshing vibe suddenly entered her forehead.

It was like the first drop of snow water from the ice glaciers during the start of summer, faintly bringing a dark and cold fragrance.

Lin Jiu was startled!

These grievances had started to affect her mind, causing her to give up on defense and to step forward and fight.

She was slightly startled, trying to awaken the Red Lotus in her consciousness. As soon as it rotated, all the grievances collected on her body were drawn into her consciousness, and was swallowed up by Lotus.

The sixth petal only showed a slight sign of blossoming.

Lin Jiu’s heart sank heavily.

The secret realm would open in a few days’ time, but the sixth, seventh and eighth petals needed huge sources of hatred. She felt helpless. As she looked at the situation before her, she’d rather just crash on her pillow and get some sleep.

Lin Jiu took a deep breath, both hands holding tightly onto the bone arrow as she slashed towards the boundless army of skeletons.

She was still considered lucky, as she was met with an even lower-skilled enemy that she could just lash out and kill.

Resentment wasn’t just any random thing— it was poisonous, desperate, painful, anxious, and hateful, torturing the dead souls. She helped relieve them and they passed their grievance to help the Red Lotus blossom, so it was a win-win situation!

Lin Jiu’s mind sharpened, her moves even more precise.

Time flew past quickly.

Inadvertently, Lin Jiu’s movements became more and more smooth. As she avoided the attack of the skeletons, she could even pay some attention to her own posture.

The spiritual energy flowed freely through the bone arrow in her hands. She gathered them in different parts of the arrow and accurately used moves such as picking, chopping, stabbing, and slashing. She was like a fish, slipping past one of the tall skeletons, the bone arrow unleashed, breaking it into two.

Her left foot lightly tapped on the ground as she easily avoided the sword that came from above. The corners of her lips were slightly hooked upwards, and she stepped on the body of the bone sword, leapt gently, and with a swing of her arm she sent the skull flying.

She landed on the ground in one graceful movement, and Lin Jiu couldn’t help but remember every time when Wei Liang was landing as he held on her.

Wei Liang…

Lin Jiu tightened her grip on the bone arrow, thinking that she created such a great opportunity for you and Liu Qing Yin to spend some time alone, both of them alone, in a dark room.

Don’t disappoint me!

***

The disappointing Wei Liang looked calm and indifferent as he glanced sideways at the blushing Liu Qing Yin.

His right index finger tapped in the center of Lin Jiu’s forehead, and at the place where their skin touched, a faint white light softly flickered.

Liu Qing Yin stared at Wei Liang’s hands. Her breathing sounded heavy in the quiet underground tomb.

“Mas…ter…” she said, her tone hoarse.

In no time, the demons already started to rush into the passage opened by Wei Liang. Wei Liang was only focused on protecting Lin Jiu’s consciousness, and Liu Qing Yin reluctantly picked up her sword to slay the demon squad.

Killing ten of these infant demons didn’t take up much of her energy, but what she didn’t expect was one of the demons sneaking behind her. Liu Qing Yin was unprepared when it sprayed a peachy mist on her.

Liu Qing Yin inhaled the mist right in.

After handling the bodies and closing off the passageway, Liu Qing Yin hurriedly returned to Wei Liang’s side and started to meditate.

That demon’s mist was powerful and Liu Qing Yin wanted to protect her own spirit, but memories of her master and her flirting around kept popping out in her mind. After resisting for quite some time, she couldn’t help but open her eyes. When she did, she saw Wei Liang’s finger tapping on to the middle of Lin Jiu’s forehead.

His fingers were long and beautiful, and his skin was as pale and smooth as the finest white jade, exuding a refreshing and cool aura.

Liu Qing Yin couldn’t help but feel even more frustrated. She couldn’t help but tremble at the thought of his cold hands heavily stroking her body, a touch that she craved so much.

She could no longer suppress that thought anymore.

She shivered as she walked to Wei Liang’s side. He looked over at her, his gaze cold and dull.

“Mas…ter, help me.” Liu Qing Yin said with much difficulty, “I’m incompetent, I can’t get rid of the demon’s poison. If I resist for any longer…”

Wei Liang’s thin lips moved. “What about resisting.”

“If I resist any longer…” Liu Qing Yin bit her cherry-red lips. “If I resist it, I’m afraid that it would hurt my root of love. From then on—from then on, I will not have any feelings for men, never again, never again…”

It was difficult to say such words, but at the moment, she was poisoned and her consciousness started to feel a little unclear. She gritted her teeth against the anxiety rising within her. “If I continue resisting it, I am afraid that I would not have any feelings for men, ever again, not even a single thought of it!”

After finishing, a pair of big misty eyes stared straight at Wei Liang.

Wei Liang didn’t shift his gaze, and his voice was as cold as before when he spoke. “If you aspire to be a cultivator, you should always have a clear heart and little desires. If this is the result, then that would be great.”

Liu Qing Yin: “…”

(Recap: Wei Liang, Lin Jiu and Liu Qing Yin entered the underground tomb of Qian Qi Pass to look for the seed, but the spiritual medicine was protected by the grievances of dead spirits. Lin Jiu was attracted by a strange energy and tapped into the dead spirits’ grievances. She entered into a weird realm and discovered it was filled with skeletons formed by malice and resentment, and that there was also a sword that was plunged into the mountain peak far from her. After killing several skeletons, the Red Lotus absorbed the malice, and the sixth petal was about to bloom.)

“Wei Liang, I created such a great opportunity for you and the female lead to spend some time alone, so don’t disappoint me!”

The world was painted blood-red.

Lin Jiu continued to slash her bone arrow at the never-ending skull army.

The red lotus’ sixth petal continued to blossom!

30%, 50%, 80%…100%.

Lin Jiu skillfully captured all the aura into the Red Lotus, helping the sixth petal to bloom.

Only the last two petals left!

Lin Jiu’s heart kept in excitement, she looked up and looked towards the sea of blood-red skulls.

The ground suddenly lurched. It was like a calm sea that was disturbed, peaceful and smooth like a mirror at first, and then a huge wave the next moment.

The ground shook as an enormous hill suddenly rose from below.

The skeletons rolled down like rocks down from the peak of the hill that just formed. Lin Jiu was also flipped to the ground, and she stabbed the bone arrow in her hands deeply into the soil to anchor herself.

Soil and rocks fell everywhere like rain. The hill that had erupted out of the ground was about ten meters high.

Suddenly, a giant bone hand shot out from the top of the hill!

The bone hand fruitlessly tried grabbing the air above it a few times, then it pushed down against the ground with a mighty thump. Another bone arm poked out from the other side of the hill and pressed against the ground as well. With a mighty heave, it pushed its body from out of the large hill of rock and soil.

The ground sounded like boiling water as it rumbled nonstop and mud and rocks skittered around.

“Kong……Wu……Meng……Xia……”

The giant skull actually talked.

In what seemed like no time at all, the giant skeleton was already completely out of the ground. The bones of its body gave a shrieking “crack crack” with every heavy movement, like a big boat being pulled to shore. It put in some effort to slowly stand up, raised its head to the sky, and let out a horrifying growl.

Right after, it stared right at the snow-white mountain ahead and moved forward.

Beneath one huge step, countless normal sized skulls were crushed.

It slightly moved its body, stretching its long pillar-like legs as it charged towards the white mountain.

Rumbling—

The atmosphere among the skeletons was heated.

There were no more skeletons paying attention to Lin Jiu, this average mortal. They all opened their black mouths and roared in silence, waving the bone weapons in their hands as they followed behind the giant skeleton, and flocked to the snowy mountain peak!

Every step the giant skeleton made, the ground rumbled and trembled fiercely.

In this crazy moment, any object that stayed put would be completely crushed flat by the skeletons. Lin Jiu had no choice but to follow the crowd of skeletons to the white mountain.

Lin Jiu secretly complained: “Mr. Wu Meng Xia, what on earth did you do?”

A sharp sound of wind came from behind her.

The back of Lin Jiu’s neck prickled and, without a second thought, she threw herself forward and rolled on the ground.

A blood-red skeleton almost took off her head as it crashed into the ground in front of her, throwing up a huge amount of soil and causing dirt to rain down.

Lin Jiu looked back, and saw that numerous giant skeletons were starting to crawl out from behind her!

One of the giant skeletons with a slightly slender frame had its gaze fixated on Lin Jiu for some reason. Its short body started to run, picking up one of the small skeletons from its side and throwing them one by one at her.

The giant skeleton’s strength was so much bigger than the normal skeletons that Lin Jiu didn’t dare to use the bone arrow in her hands to block the shot, but she was put in an extremely dangerous position.

One by one, these building-sized skeletons continuously flew past her head, the volume of mud churning up from the ground almost enough to bury her alive, but one of the more bigger-sized skeletons was still fixated on her. It bent its waist, placed both of its arms to its side, charged towards Meng Ting with its mouth open, screaming as it came, its skull shaking.

Its scream attracted three more large skeletons.

They started to cooperate and surrounded Lin Jiu.

Lin Jiu blended herself into the crowd of small skeletons that were still frantically rushing forward. She had to protect herself against the small skeletons that would suddenly attack her, and also get ready to dodge the big skeletons’ attack that were behind her.

Every time the big skeleton leaned over to attack, countless small skeletons would be pushed everywhere.

In this desperate situation, Lin Jiu unleashed her full potential. She weaved up and down through the horde, sometimes jumping on the shoulders of the little skeletons to land a few meters away, and sometimes crouching down, passing under the skeletons to avoid the ruthless sweeping attacks of the big skeletons.

Her heart was pounding, she could hear her own blood flowing and her heavy breathing. Her throat was hot and sore and her limbs were numb.

The snow-white mountain was getting closer and closer.

As Lin Jiu rolled on the ground, she once again stepped on another white bone, and she fell.

She sensed that something was off, but she didn’t know what exactly it was.

She didn’t have the time to think much about it either as the four huge skeletons, who were like gangrene attached to the bones and reluctant to let her be, continued to pick up the small skeletons one at a time, and threw their heads at her like metal discs. She dodged from left to right, thinking how this was how a cockroach felt being chased by people.

How devastating!

They were getting closer and closer to the white mountain.

Lin Jiu jumped high from the shoulders of a small skeleton once again, avoiding the death sweep of the giant skeleton.

The corner of her eyes swept across to the direction of white mountain, when Lin Jiu suddenly stopped breathing and almost plunged straight down.

It was a bone mountain!

A moving bone mountain!
