"Let's negotiate."

Instead of the police commissioner, he heard a young man's voice, which seemed familiar for some reason but he can't put his finger on it.

He thought the speaker must be the army general who is willing to negotiate with it.

"There's a limousine parked outside." The young man didn't speak any unnecessary words and disconnected the call.

Blair didn't get a chance to say Yes. He felt as if he was being ordered but then, hearing the sound of helicopters up there, he once again remembered what position he is in now, and quickly started to walk.

"Steve, is there a limousine parked outside?" He asked while climbing down the stairs.

"Wait a second." Steve then called the security that are guarding the gate and confirmed about it, "yes. There is one that's behind the police vehicles."

He stopped at once and took a long breathe, "Police, huh…" Then, he continued to climb down the stairs. "Steve, do one thing. Order our boys to bring out all the explosives we have and be on standby.

I also need explosive vests on our hostages, here. As for the boys who are at the branches, I need them to get ready with RDX to blow up the city.

If I go down, then, I'll drag the entire city with me, starting with these hostages right in front of them.

You get ready. I'll go outside to negotiate."

After giving orders to his right-hand man, Blair bravely walked towards the gates.

But, just as the gate is opened, his heart quickened its speed, looking at so many weapons and lasers pointing at him.

He looked up in the sky. Along with four attack helicopters, there are 3 drones, getting the live coverage.

"There are no terrorists in my compound. I'm here to negotiate. Let's talk this out." He shouted loudly to the police on purpose to get justification but he didn't know that the news channel didn't bother to go near him to record his statement.

They just want a scoop and they were getting it. A billionaire who owns many casinos and clubs, who ruled the city unofficially is now cowering in fear under the might of the government. How cool is that…

Of course, the real reason is their goal for high TRP.

"Mr. Ravens, he's here," The police commissioner said as he received the message from the walkie-talkie.

Wil nodded.

"Give him the way," The commissioner passed out another order and the police escorted him to the limousine.

Realizing something, Wil quickly addressed the vice commander, "General Russo, tell your men to cover the vehicle. I don't want us to be spotted by the media."

"Yes." Russo nodded before passing the orders.

A few moments later, Blair was escorted towards the limousine. As the door was opened, the soldiers quickly covered the drones' vision, not letting them capture even the silhouette of Wil and other people.

Meanwhile, Blair widened his eyes in shock as he saw two unexpected people in the vehicle.

"Silver? Ravens?"

Something clicked in his mind and he growled at Wil, "Are you the one behind this?"

As Silver attempting to take out the gun, Wil stopped him and looked at Blair, "take the seat."

Looking sideways at the military, he clenched his fist and sat opposite of Wil, beside the commissioner.

"So, this is a trap, huh!" As soon as Blair saw the two of them, he realized that there's no such thing as a terrorist group. It was done these two from behind the scenes and trapped him, using the police, army, and media.

At the same time, he also felt relief on his chest as these people aren't here to arrest/kill him. Not to mention, Wil isn't Philip. He's just a kid in Blair's eyes.

Despite feeling angry on the outside, he was also relaxed inside.

But then, Wil's words shook his heart.

"You are really dared to abduct my mom, Mr. Badger. Do you think Vulture's wings are cut off just because it decides to settle elsewhere?"

"What?" Blair was taken aback and hit his back to the seat, feeling an extreme chill in the car. No, it's more like Wil was emanating it, at that moment.

"Wha… What are… are you talking… about?" He stuttered as he asked while feeling shocked inside, 'this brat isn't even 20 years and I'm feeling fear?'

"I said… Where is my mom?" Wil asked again with each other loud and clear in his ears.

"I don't know what you are talking about. Your mother died 20 years ago, didn't she?"

Wil frowned as he was seeing a look of confusion on Blair while he was replying.

"Silver." Wil raised his hand.

Silver quickly handed the tablet.

He opened the images captured by the satellite, 90 minutes ago and shoved the tablet to his chest. "Then, care to tell me, what the f**k is this…"

*Ugh* Ignoring the pain, Blair looked at the picture. What he saw wasn't Scarlet but in his eyes, it's Andrea as he doesn't know they are twins.

As soon as he looked at the first picture, Blair's entire body shook with fear. The hairs on his legs and hands stood up. Sweat is starting to pour down from his forehead.

Wil saw a clear panic on his face. It was filled with so much fear that made Wil wonder just how fearsome is his Aunt.

Then, Wil leaned forward and took the tablet from him, not intending to clear the misunderstandings.

"Haha… My boys must be… must be crazy to… to abduct this dem… I mean, this lovely lady," Blair stuttered once again, worrying whether the boys will remain alive by the time he returns since he ordered them to plant explosive vests on the hostages.

"I… I… I will tell them to release her. Then, we… we have…. Have a deal, right?"

As Blair looked at him in anticipation, Wil shook his head, "you don't need to. We can raze this compound to the ground and save my mother."

Blair felt like this is possible, right now. He nodded like a chick listening to his mother hen.

Wil then, raised three fingers, "Three conditions."

"What is it?" Blair decides to agree to whatever he will be offered. Right now, what's important is his life.

It doesn't matter how many hostages or explosive he has. The police might listen, the army might listen, even Wil might listen, but the demon in his house won't listen. Once she decides to kill someone, there's no place in the world he and his men can hide.

"One, to release all the hostages." Wil closed the middle finger.

Blair agreed instantly, "sure."

"Two, you will dissolve the Viper gang and your men will leave this city."

Blair's face froze on the spot.

Meanwhile, the police commissioner had a big smile on his face since his request to Wil has been voice out.

"Dissolving isn't a problem but leaving the city is…" Blair felt troubled.

Wil smiled, "well, if your boys don't leave the city, then, we'll force them to leave this planet.

I brought an army equipped with well enough arms that potentially can destroy this whole city, after all."

Originally he wants to scare the police commissioner and the general about how he can kill the hostages to negotiate but now, his plan failed.

On the inside, there's a demon waiting for him. Forget about killing her, he would be lucky if she doesn't massacre everyone else.

On the outside, there's a battalion that can destroy them either way if he doesn't listen to the demand. Right now, he felt very safe in this car than in his building.

So, he agreed to it, "I and my boys will leave the city and won't ever return."

Wil then closed his thumb and pointed the remaining index finger towards him, "You will surrender yourself to the police."

Before Blair reacts, the commissioner added, "Mr. Badger, you will be granted immunity and a new identity if you turn into an informer."

A couple of minutes later, as he stepped outside of the car like a lifeless body, the general sounded disappointed, "is that it? I didn't expect we are returning like this, without any battle."

Then, he looked at the commissioner, "Mr. Hart, I'm sure you only need this gang leader, right? Why don't we exterminate the rest of those scum… They'll become trouble elsewhere too…"

"There will no bloodshed," Wil shook his head and smiled to him, "General Russo, ever applied the law of success during a war?"

Russo sighed, "I understand what you are trying to remind me. It's the motto of our division."

The commissioner asked, "what are you two talking about?"

Wil then answered, "Success that's obtained by negotiations is the best. Success which acquired by the disunion of enemies only temporary while success that is secured by battle is the worst."

'But, what you did isn't a negotiation. It's a demand, though,' the same thought appeared in the rest of their minds.
