Chapter 222: Absolute Freeze evolution

He was shrouded in darkness. It happened to him before but this time, he wasn't unconscious.
Wil stood up looked around. "Where am I? I'm not resurrecting."
A certain thought appeared in his mind and he was panicked, 'did my consciousness was stuck or something? Am I in a vegetative state?' Wil didn't know what's going on.
He screamed, "Hello? Anybody here? Aria, is it you again?" he wondered whether he was pulled into some kind of space by Aria like last time.
Suddenly, the darkness was replaced by a forest. But, he didn't appear there. He felt like he was watching it from the sky.
14-year-old Wil and a tiger were standing before each other.
*Grrr…* A growl escaped from the tiger while the boy has a blank look on his face.
Wil was taken aback to see himself looking at the tiger on his four legs, baring his teeth. He can also see the veins.
"What's going on?" He was confused. It wasn't a suppressed memory because he never recalled such a scene.
*Roar* The Tiger let out a low roar before jumping towards him. The 14-year-old Wil pushed his hands against the ground and dodged before kicking it at the neck very accurately.
As he continues to watch the fight, Wil became scared of seeing himself like that. He was no longer human. He saw as if there are two beasts fighting against each other.
In the end, he saw an absurd thing of his younger self's bare hands pierced Tiger's body and took out, making a hole. The tiger ended up dead and the boy looked at it without any emotions.
"Is this perhaps, an illusion?" Wil wondered. The more he thought about it, the more it seemed to be true as he was aware that this isn't his memory. "Either the Lion or that old man must be playing tricks on me… Is it another test, perhaps?"
As soon as he convinced himself, he broke out of the illusion and returned to the black space. At least that's what he thought.
Just a few minutes later, Wil heard a notification sound but his vision is dark. He realized he was closing his eyes. As he opened them, the first thing he saw is the holographic screen, displaying the notifications.
*Ding! You cleared the final wave. Choose your reward between a unique skill and skill evolution.
"f**k" he cursed out loud, not believing his eyes. 'I cleared it? How?'
Right then, a familiar voice was heard. "You finally woke up. I thought I would return to the spirit world before you even woke up."
Wil looked towards the source and saw Seraph's spirit was hovering above the tomb.
He was dumbfounded.
Meanwhile, the old man spoke with a smile, "You passed my test with flying colors. You have proved that even without the need for skills or your pet, you can face an extremely strong opponent and still manage to defeat it.
I'm proud of you. Now I think this is the time you need to know about your destiny."
He didn't even give time for Wil to comprehend the shock he was in. All of a sudden, the surroundings changed and he was pulled into a story mode.
Wil was standing in an unfamiliar place. It was too beautiful. There are clouds, large floating islands everywhere. Angels are flying everywhere. On the biggest floating island lies a majestic castle. It was made of pure gold.
"This is the native place of our Angel race, the Celestial Empire. Humans called it heaven." Seraph's voice was narrating the story in the background.
Suddenly, Wil heard a groan, followed by his words, "it looks like I'm out of spirit energy. Since we have no time, I'll explain you in brief."
The scene was shifted to flames and ruins everywhere. The floating islands are falling. Aside from the Angels, Wil saw the Fallen Angels, even humans, and elves.
"Lucifer corrupted half of the Angels and rebelled against our King. He tricked the humans and elves to join the war."
There was a war going on. The battle was skipped to the end with all the Fallen Angels ended up dead.
"In the middle of the war, the humans understood his plot and helped the Angels in destroying the Lucifer's army and the Elves. As a result, we became indebted to humans while the Elves were forced to live in their forests, giving up a lot of land for humans.
Our Empire was destroyed along with most of the Angels in the war. Only our Princess managed to escape."
The scene once again changed to Lucifer wreaking havoc everywhere in the three continents with an army of demons.
"He returned with Lilith's army after a peaceful hundred years."
