"Swear on Yggdrasill that you will never disclose my identity at any condition."

At first, Aerona frowned and went into deep thoughts for a while. Then, she nodded, "fine. I agree as long as you don't turn into an enemy."

Wil nodded as he has every intention to ally with Searvale after the first phase is over.

After swearing on their beloved World Tree, she placed her hand on his shoulder.

It was only a fraction of a second.

By the time he equipped the Mask of Tranquility, he found himself in the middle of a large hall with Elves around.  A few meters away from him sat the Elven Queen on the throne.

Beside her, there is the High Priestess.

Wil then glanced at his left and right and found Rini, who was sitting there like a statue. However, right now, she was staring at him with her cold eyes.

"Lady Marten…" The Queen and the current High priestess greeted her with a respectful tone.

Following them, the officials along with Rini stood up from the seats and greeted her with a deep bow while at the same time, wondering who this mysterious Elf in the mask is.

Aerona responded to their greetings with a nod. As everyone took their seats, she pointed at Wil, and said, "As I have mentioned in the letter, I brought the key to win this war against Reverie and Uflenor."

Once again, everyone's attention was placed on Wil.

Previously, they were just curious about his identity but now that they heard this fellow Elf is the key to win the war, they can't help but become curious, and that includes the Queen and High priestess.

The High Priestess tried to inspect him with her abilities but she found the mask completely blocked her inspection.

Wil didn't know that he was able to hide his identity by using the mask Aerona gave to him. Had he used his own mask of tranquility, his identity would have been disclosed and might have fallen into trouble.

"So, this is the man who you claimed to be the key to winning the war?" The Elven Queen asked Aerona. "Lady Marten, can you please explain how would he help us?"

Aerona replied with a smile, "Even I don't know about that. I'm no Seer. All I can say is that his fate is tied to Princess Rini. As long as they battle together, the victory is certain."

Her ambiguous answer made the Queen frowned for a second but after remembering her identity… she decided to believe her words. "What do you need me to do, Lady Marten?"

She indirectly implied whether they need to make him one of the generals of the army or whether she needs to provide any equipment or something. The Queen wished to know how to support his key person…

"Nothing, Your Majesty." Aerona shook her head. "You just do whatever you have planned and give him the freedom to do whatever he wishes. And also, give him a formal approval to join the war as he was someone who came from far away."

"How may I address you, warrior?" The Queen asked Wil.

"Lupin…" replied Wil after thinking for a while. "Eh?"

As soon as the words escaped from his mouth, Wil felt that his voice sounded a bit different from his tone. It was a lot deeper than his.

'My voice… Is this the effect of this mask?' Wil had a realization. 'No wonder it was a quest item.'

"Lupin…" Meanwhile, Rini muttered under her breath while looking at Wil who wasn't an NPC, obviously, and was the reason her Master wait at the mansion for so long.

If it was Kiyumi or Akiko, she would have immediately recognized the name that the Llyne kingdom put a bounty of ten thousand gold coins to catch him alive. Of course, no player knows about the robbery…

Upon hearing his name, the Elven Queen stood up from the throne and announced, "With the authority of the Queen of Searvale, I, Cremia Searvale grants you citizenship and the temporary status of nobility that equal to an Earl until the war ends."

*Ding! You received temporary citizenship and the status of an Earl at the Searvale Kingdom. Warning: You won't use your original citizenship.

Accept?

Wil was taken aback, 'dual citizenship? Never heard of it before. But, having citizenship means I can earn War points in both the wars, right?'

He felt excited inside at that thought.

Meanwhile, the Queen continued, "I have no doubts regarding Lady Marten's words. So, I strongly believe that you will be the key to this war.

If you were able to prove yourself in this war, I'll not only make it permanent but also reward you handsomely."

Wil expected a quest notification but too bad, he didn't receive one as his being the key is too ambiguous.

At first, he wondered whether his role is to kill Bran and make way for Rini to dominate the battlefield but now he was thinking to kill the king and gain 100k war points.

The only problem is that he can't use Heavenly push as it is his signature move that will give away his identity, the moment he uses it.

"Hmm… without Heavenly Push, the only other option is to use Dragon Fire but its range is only 30 meters. There's a chance that I will be killed at that range but if I can use the combo of Gravity Suppression and Dragon Fire, I may able to kill the king."

At such thought, Wil's face glowed for a few seconds before he shook his head and dismissed the idea, "no, I used Gravity Suppression and Dragon Fire, long ago. Some people may identify them. I can't risk it.

It's better if I just use the new skills and the Sage weapons I acquired…" his face froze. "Sage Weapons."

Suddenly, an idea appeared in his mind. "I can use the crimson gourd to absorb the damage and store it before reflecting back to the enemy. My HP is over 140 Billion. So, I can store 1.4 Trillion of damage.

However, a king will have a king's medallion. It will be able to block my attack.

That means I need to take him out by surprise and that too when he already used the medallion.

To do that, I need support. Will Rini able to help me out? Hmm… Phoenix can certainly carry me but it isn't Leon. The bird will die before it even takes me to the King."

"Mr. Lupin… Mr. Lupin… Mr. Lupin…"

Suddenly his shoulder was shaken vigorously by Aerona, bringing him out of thoughts. "Ah, Yes?"

As he came to his senses, Wil saw the Queen and the others were staring at him while Aerona's hand was on his shoulder.

"Her Majesty is calling your name…" Aerona spoke with a frown on his face. Wil felt as if he was being scolded.

"I apologize, Your Majesty. I was thinking about Lady Marten's words…" Wil hurriedly apologized to the Queen before he gets a notification of favorability drop.

He continued, "I think I know how I am going to help out."

"Oh!" The Queen's expression changed to that of curiosity, "let's hear it."

"Once again, I apologize, Your Majesty." Wil shook his head and then looked around, "I can't say it publicly and risk the chances."

Everyone frowned at his statement.
