We all stared at the dark mages before us. Their black and red robes seemed to float out behind them even though there was no wind blowing. They were both thin in frame and tall and were young of age. One of the mages looked at me with haunting green eyes that seemed to bore into my very soul. I knew that these were the same mages that had teleported to Wandermere after the terrible destruction that had taken place. The dark mage with the green eyes had stopped and stared in our direction after Cyrena had cast her spell to hide us from view.

The other dark mage had yellow eyes that made me shiver. It was so creepy and menacing. She stared at us and a small smile broke out on her pale face. “Give me the boy and no one has to get hurt,” she said in a voice that was like a breath of cold wind. I felt Oronia and Faye both shiver next to me.

I looked over at Cyrena and I saw that she was laid out on the ground. She was completely unconscious. I instantly got into a fighting stance and put my spear before me. I stared at the two dark mages in anger. “You are going to have to kill me if you think I am going anywhere with you,” I said.

The yellow-eyed mage put her head back and laughed. The temperature seemed to drop around us as she laughed. The hair on my body stood on end from the cold air. Oronia and Faye both took a step back but Marian and I remained fixed in our fighting stances. Marian held her sword in both hands and stared the two dark mages down.

“I will not kill you, boy. Queen Raziel does not wish it but I will kill these friends of yours. Do not mistake me for a mere dragon rider. I will not fall to you,” the yellow-eyed mage said with a smile.

“Let’s see. You are going to pay for hurting my friend,” I said as I stared her down. The other mage hadn’t said a single word but instead stood like a statue beside the other one. I wondered how long they had been following us. We had not seen or heard them at all until now. I had no idea how the portals exactly worked but I couldn’t imagine them just happening to teleport to our exact location.

The yellow-eyed mage laughed again. The air seemed to get even colder. “That witch is your friend? You can do so much better than that, boy. Queen Raziel wants to be your friend and will show you so many wonders that you have never experienced.” Her eyes looked down at my crotch and seemed to remain there as a smile came to her lips. “Your penis will enjoy all the wonderful things that Queen Raziel has in store for it. Don’t you want to see what she can do for you? Don’t you want to give your semen to the most highest being in this world? Don’t you want the tremendous honor of that?”

My cock did not stir at the dark mage’s words. I wanted no part of Queen Raziel’s dark delights. “Nah, I’m good.”

The yellow-eyed mage’s smile dropped and she looked at me as if I had offended her. “Foolish boy. You will have to learn that you are Queen Raziel’s whether you accept it or not.”

“I think your Queen needs a wakeup call. I am no one’s.” I charged at the yellow-eyed mage with an angry battle cry. Marian also charged at the other mage with a loud shout. I thrust my spear at the yellow-eyed mage who quickly moved out of the way. I immediately swung my spear in a circular motion just like Marian had shown me and it grazed the front of her robe. I felt the fabric tear.

The yellow-eyed mage snarled at me. She lifted her hand and pointed it at me with the palm facing me. I was lifted off my feet and thrown back onto the ground. I hit the ground with a sharp thud but quickly got to my feet with my spear in my hands.

“Is that all you got? Is that the best you can do?” I taunted the mage. I was actually surprised by these words coming out of my mouth. I was never this brave in my entire life and yet here I was doing battle with a magical being like it was nothing to fear. I was filled with an endless amount of courage.

Marian was trying her hardest to hit the other mage who seemed to dodge every blow from the sword at her. The mage’s face was blank and her green eyes did not blink as she moved away from the sharp end of Marian’s sword. Marian would shout with every swing of her sword as she tried to make contact.

“You dare jest at me, boy?” The yellow-eyed mage said with amusement. Her hood fell from her head and I saw that she had long silver hair that billowed out behind her. Her pointy ears were covered in various silver earrings and seemed to shine.

“Yeah, I do,” I said with a grin of my own. I saw the mage’s face turn to one of anger again. She definitely was not used to being made fun of. I quickly charged at her to prevent her from tossing me into the air again. My spear jabbed at her but she dodged it and her hand shot out at me. I was lifted up and came crashing down onto the ground. I heard Marian also hit the ground but she got right back up quickly and started to swing her sword even more rapidly at the mage. The mage seemed to dance about as she spun from every swing of Marian’s sword.

The yellow-eyed mage walked toward me and raised her hand. “I think it’s time to stop these silly games.”

A rock came flying and hit the mage in the head. She yelled out in pain and another rock hit her in her shoulder. She turned to look at Oronia and Faye. They both had rocks in their hands as they stood back.

“Leave him alone, you bitch!” Oronia shouted and hurled another rock at the mage. The mage dodged it but did not move quickly away from the other rock that Faye threw. It hit her in the head and she screamed from the pain. I watched as blood started to trickle from the gash in her head.

“You insignificant creatures!” She yelled. Both of her hands raised up quickly and I watched as Faye and Oronia were both tossed up into the air and away.
