Arc 4 Chapter 6 Part 1
The Palace was too big and Shen Jiayan couldn’t find Yu Chiyan for a while. Therefore, he had to find a cave in the rockery to place Fan Yin down.
This cave was right in the middle of a lotus pond. The veins of the river flowed slowly from under the lotus leaves, and the fragrance of lotus flowers lingered in the air. Inside the cave, there was a naturally-formed block of stone that resembled a bed. There was even some hay inside. It could be assumed that a lowly ranked Palace eunuch used to stay for some time here during his breaks.
“Shifu, do you feel hot?” Shen Jiayan placed a handkerchief soaked in cold water on Fan Yin’s forehead, “Will this make you feel better?”
Fan Yin’s eyelashes hang low, making the thick and long eyelashes cast a shadow. He showed a somewhat aggrieved expression, “Hot.”
Shen Jiayan never thought that Fan Yin, who always looked cold, would unexpectedly have this side to him, and he wasn’t able to react. When Shen Jiayan came back to his senses, he indescribably felt that Fan Yin was cute somehow.
Shen Jiayan picked a large lotus leaf from the pond to fan Fan Yin. He unconsciously used a gentle tone, “Will it feel more comfortable if I fan you like this?”
Fan Yin shook his head, grabbed Shen Jiayan’s hand, and pressed it against his face. Soon after, a contented sigh came out from his throat, “Like this, it feels comfortable!”
Shen Jiayan slowly rubbed Fan Yin’s face, and Fan Yin customarily rubbed his face on Shen Jiayan’s hand, like a large dog begging its master to pet him. He had an incredibly well-behaved look.
However, Fan Yin remained quiet for only a short while and began to whine again, “Hot, my body also feels hot.” There was a watery glint in his eyes, like a child that couldn’t get candy.
Being stared at with these eyes, Shen Jiayan only felt his heart soften and he couldn’t resist asking, “Then how can we make it stop being hot?”
Fan Yin patted a place on the stone bed beside him. He said with a hint of expectation on his face, “You sleep here.”
After Shen Jiayan willingly lay down on the stone bed, Fan Yin immediately moved into action and tightly held Shen Jiayan into his embrace. It almost made Shen Jiayan unable to breathe.
Shen Jiayan felt a little uncomfortable being hugged this tightly. But just before he opened his mouth to tell Fan Yin to hug him a little less tighter, Fan Yin whispered in a sobbing voice looking increasingly aggrieved, “It’s still hot, it’s still uncomfortable…….”
Shen Jiayan suddenly felt like he was coaxing a child, “Where else do you feel hot, where do you still feel uncomfortable?”
Fan Yin pointed to the place where he felt uncomfortable, “This place is uncomfortable, it’s hot and painful.”
Shen Jiayan only glanced at it then swallowed his saliva in silence. He made a mistake, even if his Shifu acted this way right now, he would never be a child.

Shen Jiayan covered Fan Yin’s eyes with a handkerchief. He felt that if he carried on while being looked at by those eyes, even the deepest thoughts in his heart would be exposed. With slightly trembling hands, he untied Fan Yin’s clothes……
The moment he started, Shen Jiayan bit his lower lip to stop himself from making a sound. It hurts so much, so much that tears almost flowed out from his eyes.
Afterwards, he felt a little better after getting used to it.
When it was finally over, Shen Jiayan lightly took a breath and helped Fan Yin put on his clothes piece by piece. He fell limply on the ground. His whole body had lost any trace of strength.
At this moment, the sound of footsteps could be heard. A group of people was approaching the rockery. The sound was mixed with their talking and laughing voices.
Su Yun stood just outside the rockery and spoke with a smile, “They say that ‘The lotus leaves are five-inches wide, the lotus flower is delicate, and this does not hinder the rocking of the beautifully decorated boat in the waves1’. Won’t it be a pity if we didn’t enjoy such a great night view from a boat on this lake? I see that there’s a boat next to the rockery, why don’t we get on the boat while we’re in high spirits?”
The aristocratic children outside expressed their approval, the sound was as loud as horse hooves hitting the ground.
“Young Master Su is really a great talent. We are simply ashamed of our own inferiority to compare with you, ah!”
