When they arrive in front of the hotel Ethan and Ken left their car to valet parking personnel and went inside the hotel. Ethan presented their invitation before they were guided to the ballroom location of Elise's party. When they arrive Ethan's parents were at the door together with Elise and his fiancé greeting their guests that just arrived. They didn't see the family of Elise's soon-to-be in-laws beside them.
"Ethan! Son, it's good that both you and Ken were able to come" said mother Aoki who was so happy to see her son.
"Yes, although we might not stay that long, we still need to go to the hospital later mom." Ethan hugs his mother as he answered.
"Why? Isn't your day off today?" asked father Aoki who just shake hands with Ken. Both Elise and her fiancé are still greeting another guest that is why only mother Aoki and father Aoki were the ones who welcome Ethan and Ken.
"No, both of us still have night shift later. We only asked our colleagues to extend his shift for a few hours so that we can attend the engagement party. Nonetheless, we are here to celebrate a happy occasion for Elise" said Ken
"Thank you for coming to our engagement party Ethan and Ken," said Elise who just finish greeting the guest that arrives before Ethan. Following her was her fiancé who looks at both Ethan and Ken with a smile.
"Congratulation to you older sister and my soon-to-be brother-in-law, do you both have a date for your wedding?" asked Ethan as he hands over their gift to Elise. While Elise gave it to Hideaki who later on give it to his assistant who places the gift together with the rest of the gifts they have received.
"We do, we both plan to get married two days after my graduation which is two months from now. So both of you should attend my wedding, alright?" Elise still hates Ethan and she doesn't want him near her fiancé but since it was a very special day for her that she set aside her hate and just happily converse with Ethan.
"So we have the same month of graduation, We'll try to attend the wedding but please don't hate us if we can't attend it. We don't have any prediction on when the hospital is very busy but I will try to attend it no matter what" Ethan wanted to witness the wedding of Elise but since it is very sudden that he had no idea if he would be able to attend it that he said those things to her.
"It's alright, you both work in the same field and we can understand if you both can't go to my wedding, just don't forget to give your wedding gift and I will forgive you." This scene was such a rare sight to both mother Aoki and father Aoki. They are aware of the hate of Elise towards Ethan that sometimes made Elise not want to see Ethan inside their house. Thus, to see the two of them conversing about the wedding of Elise in a peaceful manner was a bit of a shock to both of them, although they are glad and happy to see such a sight.
"anyway, you should both go inside, we still need to greet a few more guests. We'll just see you later" said Elise as she saw a few more guests arriving. Ethan also saw the guest that just arrived and one of them was the best friend of Elise who also hates him for no reason. He thugs Ken's arm and pull him close to him as they go inside the venue. Once they arrive inside, Ethan went directly towards the front table that was for the family members of the soon-to-be bride. While across it was the table for family members of the soon-to-be-groom. Ethan and Ken greeted all of Ethan's grandparents who are sitting in their assigned seats.
As the party started, both Ethan and Ken receive no calls from the hospital which is good since it will only mean that there is no urgent matter or case that needed their attention. It is almost two hours since the party started and they need to leave the venue but Ethan can't find his sister.
Somewhere inside the venue, Elise is having a fun conversation with her best friend Trisha who came together with her cousin Yuki who is an omega. Yuki was the only omega that Elise likes, she has no idea why but she feels like Yuki was her brother instead of Ethan.
"so Yuki, I heard that you are taking up Interior Design course in college, is that true" asked Elise but she didn't get any reply from Yuki who was looking at someone.
"Yuki? What's wrong? Yuki?" Trisha saw that her cousin was looking at something or someone that he was not noticing their calls until she finally taps him a little on his shoulder.

"I see, well you need to do your best and I will introduce you to one of our cousin-in-law who owns a company of Interior Design. How does that sound to you?" Elise might not be involved in any of the company affairs of the Go Corporation, she still holds 10% of the shares of the company.

"You're leaving? It has only been two hours, right? Don't you respect your sister, It is a happy occasion and you are both leaving already" asked Trisha who had been wanting to bad-mouth Ethan. She hated Ethan because of him being so popular in their University. They might be taking different courses but since Ethan was taking some managerial course that she sees him in their department. "I am aware that this is a very important day for my sister however, Ken needs to go to the hospital, he is needed there now while I just received a call that in ten minutes a patient who needs to undergo a major surgery will arrive there. And I am one of the first assistants of a surgeon on duty tonight that is why we need to leave. I am so sorry sister for leaving suddenly but lives are at stake here" said Ethan while Ken just answered the phone behind him.
"It's alright, I understand. I will let mom and dad know that you have left already." Said Elise as she pacifies her friend who wants to quarrel with Ethan.

"Princess, we need to leave, the head nurse just called me and said that your patient just arrived at the ER. They have started giving him the first examination but he will need to enter the OR in ten minutes or else it will be too late. Also, one bad news, they can't contact Dr. Rafael so you might need to lead the surgery" said Ken as they are now walking towards the door.
"WHAT?! Isn't Dr. Rafael on duty tonight?" Ethan couldn't help but suddenly shout even though they are still inside the venue.. His shout gains a lot of attention from all the guests which made the two of them apologize and left the venue.
