Chapter 428: Personal Nurse

"Xia Yu," Song Xing Xing's voice was heard on the other side of the line.
"Un. Little Star." Xia Yu tightened her grip on the phone as she watched Huo Yun Chen leave the room to give her space and privacy to talk to Song Xing Xing.
Her gaze lowered, finding that it was strange for her to be holding Huo Yun Chen's phone in her hand. Did he trust her that much to let her use his phone like this?
"Are you feeling better?" Song Xing Xing asked.
"Un. I'm feeling slightly better. My body is still hurting all over but, I'll recover very soon." Xia Yu paused to lick her dried lips. "Little Star, thank you for your help."
They only get to know each other through that MMORPG and weren't very close. However, Song Xing Xing had helped her with a lot of things. Xia Yu felt as if she did not deserve this kindness, especially knowing Song Xing Xing's identity.
"I heard from Huo Yun Chen that you are planning to proceed with the charges," Song Xing Xing said.
"Uh-huh."
Song Xing Xing heaved with relief. "Are you sure?"
She had heard from the lawyer that the person who had pushed Xia Yu from the second floor was Xia Yu's brother. Song Xing Xing already knew that Xia Yu's relationship with her family members was a little tricky.
Just like Huo Yun Chen, she was ready to hear Xia Yu agreeing to her mother's request. She was going to convince Xia Yu not to back down but unexpectedly, Xia Yu had already made that decision.
"Mmm... I'm sure."
"Xia Yu, you don't have to see any of your family members again if you are not comfortable with it," Song Xing Xing said. "I will talk to the lawyer and let him handle everything."
"Then, I will let you take care of it. Little Star, thank you."
"You already thank me." Song Xing Xing heaved a sigh. "Next time, you can just help me to defeat some boss in 'Legend of the Sky'.
Xia Yu pursed her lips into a thin line, suppressing her smile.
Song Xing Xing had helped her so much. How can she repay her with a few rounds of defeating monsters? Moreover, even without this favor, the two of them often teamed up to defeat monsters.
"Xia Yu, what are you planning to do next?" Song Xing Xing asked. "If there's anything I can help with, then you have to tell me."
"I don't know. I haven't made my decision yet," Xia Yu said. "The most important thing is to recover. I'll figure out what I want to do later."
The two of them spoke for a while before they hung up. Xia Yu leaned on the bed and placed the phone on her lap.
Her mind was thinking of what both Song Xing Xing and Huo Yun Chen had said to her.
She needed to think of what she should do next. But with her legs, she really did not know what she should do next.
Someone knocked on the door and entered. Xia Yu turned her head to the door and watch as Huo Yun Chen entered the room again.
She stretched her arm and handed the phone back to him. "It's yours."
Huo Yun Chen glanced at the phone to make sure that the call had ended before he slid the phone back into his pocket. He looked at the girl on the bed and narrowed his eyes.
The girl was obviously avoiding him, right?
He thought about her refusal earlier and called her name. "Xia Yu." He waited until she was looking at him and spoke, "Come to Capital City with me, alright?"
Xia Yu looked at the man in surprise. She had not thought that this man would bring up this matter again.
"I thought about it again. I still didn't think that it's good to leave you here alone," Huo Yun Chen said. "Where will you be staying once you are discharged? You still need someone to look after you if you a living alone. Moreover, If you stay in this city, your mother might come and look for you. With your current condition, what do you think you can do?"
Her brow furrowed.
Although she does think that leaving this city is a good move to avoid her mother, Xia Yu did not think that going with Huo Yun Chen is a good idea.
Huo Yun Chen thought about it for a while and coughed. "You can live with my assistant, Lin You as you recuperate. If you are worried that you are making things difficult for me, then, you can consider working with me once you are well enough."
"I am a nurse. What can I do if I work for you?"
"I'm frequently injured during my work or practices," Huo Yun Chen said. "Having a personal nurse working closely with me is a good thing. At least, I don't have to visit the hospital frequently and make my fans worry if I had a personal nurse with me."
"I think, it would be more convenient for you to have a private doctor."

He was giving her a reason to stay close to him. Didn't she tell him that she's a fan of his? Why wouldn't she take this chance to stay beside him? Was she really a fan?

"Are you not going to consider it?" Huo Yun Chen looked at her with a hint of exasperation. "Xia Yu, I hope that you can think about my offer first before you give your answer. I'll give you two days to think about it, alright?"
Xia Yu really wanted to reject this offer. However, the look on Huo Yun Chen's face stopped her from saying what was on her mind.
She averted her gaze, finding that his face was too much of a distraction. The way Huo Yun Chen was looking at her was so hopeful and it was making her uncomfortable.
She could not understand why Huo Yun Chen was being this nice to her.
A lot of thought went through her mind and a tiny spark of hope ignited in her heart.
Huo Yun Chen... it couldn't be that he liked her, right?

You still need someone to look after you if you a living alone. Moreover, If you stay in this city, your mother might come and look for you.
