A Promising Future

A BEEKEEPER IN A MAGICAL WORLD

Hua Mi sensed a tangible enhancement in his physique. The extent of this increase needed experimentation to gauge precisely.

With time in the otherworld running short, he checked the remaining bee boxes, ensuring no other by-products had emerged. Clearing the food scraps and packaging around, he left the greenhouse and returned to Earth.

Daylight still lingered.

He shed the sweat-drenched clothes and the black robe, stashing the latter into his ring and tossing the dirty laundry into the washing machine. A refreshing shower washed away the sweat and grime purged from his body.

Standing before the mirror, he observed the changes in his physique.

There was a noticeable improvement in his overall vigor. He'd never specifically worked on strengthening himself, lacking visible muscles. Except for his arms, toned from regularly moving bee boxes, others remained fairly ordinary until now.

But presently, his chest and abdomen showed clear definition.

Eight discernible abdominal muscles, a physique not overtly muscular when clothed but with quality evident upon inspection. Muscles weren't merely about size; some appeared significant yet were superficial, while others, seemingly smaller, boasted superior density and quality—this, the ultimate goal of fitness.

However, the true test lay in the power he could unleash.

Rummaging through his belongings, he retrieved fitness equipment purchased years ago: dumbbells, stretchers, grip strengtheners—a portable arsenal. A 10kg dumbbell, once a daunting boss battle, now lifted effortlessly. A hundred reps at one per second, still leaving him with reserves.

For him now, a 10kg dumbbell was child's play.

Stretchers and grip strengtheners were mere trifles, a testament to his expedited growth.

He knew he'd taken a shortcut, cautioning himself against complacency. Regular folks incrementally improved through persistent effort, slow yet grounded in reality.

Through the "secret potion," he'd sky-rocketed, achieving what would typically take months in merely a day.

It felt… exhilarating.

Lost in thought, laughter bubbled out of him.

---

Undoubtedly, the potent pills primarily augmented his strength, but within the human body’s interlinked systems, enhancement in one aspect affected endurance, speed, defense, and immunity. These augmentations, however, weren't as immediately perceptible as strength.

"Perhaps a few more, just to experience the effects."

While uncertain about the otherworld, on Earth, he could foresee himself becoming the strongest man at this rate.

The title of the New Generation Strongman wasn't far-fetched.

The future held promise!

Content, Hua Mi documented the process for this by-product in his notes: Giant Strength Bees + Blessed Flowers = [Giant Strength Pills], significantly enhancing the user’s strength.

“Hope the Giant Strength Bees deliver more abundantly,” he casually requested.

---

"Need to restock supplies."

Mainly food and water.

The Giant Strength Pills had nearly depleted his on-hand food reserves. While not an urgent matter, he decided to replenish for contingencies. Despite the Black Forest’s blessings, sustaining life without much activity there was possible. However, considering Earth's convenient shopping, why not restock?

He bought a bulk of food online before casually browsing for items useful in the otherworld. Amid beekeeping and farming, exploring the otherworld had occupied his attention, leaving little room for other thoughts. But with a deepening understanding, he pondered using Earth's technology to improve his otherworldly life for comfort and ease.

Solar-powered devices seemed manageable. Earth's solar technology was quite advanced, and purchasing small solar devices was a breeze online. He chose well-reviewed solar lights, intending to place them in the wooden cabin and greenhouse for nighttime activities.

---

A few uneventful days passed.

Several new queen bees of various breeds were successfully bred. Hua Mi attempted hybridization with the Yin-Yang Bee template, but unsurprisingly, they remained reproductively isolated, even the bloodsucking bees rejecting the hybrids. It seemed his assumption had been correct: cursed bees were solitary by nature.

“While hybridization might not generate advantageous traits, there's the option for reinforcement.”

He hadn’t forgotten about the bee strengthening path, contingent upon providing Blood Cyan Crystals.

Days later, the Thunder Blossom Honey brewing in the Thunder Flower field finished. Leaving the honey aside, it was the by-product that mattered. The bloodsucking bees had, once again, generously produced a Blood Cyan Crystal, indicating its reasonably high drop rate. Yet, the success of the reinforcement remained uncertain.

However, Blood Cyan Crystals alone couldn't strengthen the bees; a trip to the Brass City's blacksmith was essential. Preferring to amass several Blood Cyan Crystals before the visit, as the teleportation material required was precious and demanded his personal contribution—unicorn horn powder and other rare materials.

Thus, gathering more was the plan.

Speaking of teleportation gates, thoughts veered towards the stone gate constructed by the centaurs. It only required proficiency in their language and adequate intelligence for usage.

Would Alyss meet the requirements? While elves typically fell short in average intelligence compared to centaurs, she was among their elite, likely possessing a mental edge.

“Consulting her when I have time.”

Testing the maestro's intelligence through the stone gate sounded intriguing.

---

The completion of the Mirage Blossom Bee Honey brewing was imminent. While fewer flowers were planted in the ten-acre field due to wider spacing, the honey production was substantial. The air in the field was saturated with the fragrance, captivating the seven little spirits.

The blossomed Mirage Blossom had a distinct appearance.

Finally, Hua Mi understood the origin of the name "Mirage Blossom."
