Happy New Year! It's a brand new year and a fresh start. Here's to hoping that this year is filled with laughter, love, and, of course, plenty of good cheer. Cheers to a fantastic new year!

Tatsumaki drew a green streak through the skies, approaching Fubuki like a supersonic aircraft. Surprisingly, she didn’t break any sound barriers despite traveling at supersonic plus speed. Her psychic power control and output easily made her the most powerful Esper in the world, Tornado of Terror.

Unlike Fubuki, Tatsumaki was petite and youthful like a middle schooler but her wide hips and shapely legs could give any supermodel a run for their money.

‘Klyscha, her status.’

[Tatsumaki Lv. 500]

Designated Title: The Strongest Esper

Race: Human

Class: Psion

[Attributes]

Strength: 50

Dexterity: 550

Constitution: 100

Defense: 100

Charm: 25

Psychic Energy: 1000

[Skills]

[Psychokinesis (SSS-Rank): Tatsumaki has refined psychokinesis to its near limit. Further growth will ascend the skill to Unique Rank.]

[Isolation Barrier (Unique): Through extreme loneliness, Tatsumaki learned to form extremely powerful barriers. The psychic energy consumption for barriers is reduced by 250%.]

[Chi Manipulation (A-Rank): Tatsumaki can manipulate the Chi of her target.]

Asahi blinked his eyes at the status before him.

‘What an abnormal distribution of stats. This dexterity though...’

Dexterity was the accumulation of reaction time, perception, and raw agility. Tatsumaki’s strength showed her overall physique. She couldn’t have 550 Dexterity based on her body alone.

(Yeah, my love… Her stats are a fluke. Her psychokinesis only needs dexterity and psychic energy.)

Tatsumaki stopped before the only building standing tall in the pile of smoking debris once known as City-A. Her entire focus remained on Fubuki as if the burning city meant nothing to her.

Fubuki stared at Tatsumaki in a daze. “Sister…”

She shared a psychic bond with Tatsumaki once she awakened her psychokinesis. The bond mysteriously sent vague signals to the other and also allowed Tatsumaki to sense if Fubuki encountered a danger. Fubuki’s emotional distress was strong enough to draw her all the way from the City-N.

Tatsumaki crossed her arms with a serious frown. “Why are you here? Don’t bother answering. Go home and rest. I’ll deal with this mess.”

Fubuki shuddered at Tatsumaki’s overbearing voice. Her sister was making decisions for her again. A common occurrence throughout her life and the motivation for her hunger for strength. To stop Tatsumaki from interfering in her life.

“S-Sister, I…”

Asahi put a finger on Fubuki’s lips. “You figure out the dagger. I’ll keep Tatsumaki in check.”

Fubuki pushed his hand. “Stop. You can’t fight her. You’ll die.”

She despised his underhanded tactics, but he was her only hope to restore this city. His punishment for this genocide could wait until she finished the time reversal.

Tatsumaki’s face turned glum. “You’re ignoring me after getting a new friend. You’re in your rebellious phase. I’ll take care of this friend first, then have a long talk with you at home.”

Fubuki felt weak in her knees. Tatsumaki knew all of Fubuki’s acquaintances and Blizzard Group’s members. Tatsumaki was more in control of Fubuki’s life than Fubuki herself. Due to Tatsumaki's control freak behavior, Fubuki’s world was small and her freedom limited. Tatsumaki shackled her mentally with her undeniable presence since her childhood.

She cast a shadow that shrouded Fubuki everywhere.

Asahi rubbed Fubuki’s head. The soothing sensation brought her calm amidst the chaotic situation. “Don’t underestimate the Emperor of Devils. Just do the damn thing.”

The soothing sensation disappeared as soon as he removed his hand. She clenched her jaw and nodded her head. Asahi wrapped her in a bubble-like barrier and pushed her away. She floated over the city, protected by a barrier strong enough to stall Tatsumaki for a few minutes.

Fubuki touched the barrier. ‘It’s not psychic energy.’

She shook off her curious thoughts. “I need to do it, fast.” She held the dagger in a reverse grip and tried to channel her psychic energy into the dagger. Her hands shook as she felt Tatsumaki’s rising fury through their bond. “Focus, focus.”

“Flirting with my little sister before me,” Tatsumaki’s chilling voice boomed. She misinterpreted their interactions, and her anger reached a boiling point. “You have guts.”

The curly ends of her green hair drifted up as a storm of psychic energy stirred up and tried to devour Asahi. He blocked the wave of energy with his own telekinesis, which was still at A-Rank, nothing compared to Tatsumaki’s psychokinesis.

“You blocked it?” The petite Esper gave him a wide-eyed look. “Another Esper? No surprise Fubuki is messing with you.”

Asahi finally turned his attention to the older psychic sister, his face full of contempt. “Quiet, Kid.”

He pushed her buttons with two simple words. Tatsumaki increased her output and tried to crush him under tons of force. The floor under him cracked, but he remained levitating, wrapped within a bubble. A barrier made using his telekinesis.

Tatsumaki wasn’t the only one with the ability to create barriers.

“Hmph.” Tatsumaki raised her chin, giving him a look of sheer contempt. “Your Esper powers are trash.”

Tatsumaki looked down on everyone, believing she was the strongest. Like Saitama, she had yet to encounter a foe who could test her limit.

So, she filled the air around Asahi with her psychic energy to disrupt the flow of his energy. A whirlwind surrounded Asahi’s barrier. Her skill Psychic Binding could seal any Esper’s power.  It would work if his telekinesis operated on psychic energy. Unfortunately for her, his telekinesis used sheer willpower.

“Keep trying.” Asahi chuckled. “Sweety.”

This fight with Tatsumaki meant nothing since Fubuki would reverse time soon. Tatsumaki will forget something like this ever happened. So, he didn’t put any effort into the fight.

He already set a plan to preserve his memories. Klyscha will teleport him and his lovers out the second the Dagger of Time starts its magic.

Tatsumaki’s frown deepened. Her Psychic Binding skill didn’t work against him, which meant he wasn’t an Esper. Her mind refused to go in the other direction. The mere doubt that her opponent was a superior Esper.

“I was avoiding lethal force to protect the Hero Association,” Tatsumaki said. “I won’t do it anymore.”

She thrust her hand at him and slightly bent her fingers. The layer of green energy around her thickened. “Get crushed.”
